Good value
This is actual screen on a layer of adhesive, not tape with a screen pattern printed on it.Adhesive is strong but melts slightly when applied on a hot day in direct sun – which is good. Apply in direct sun for easiest adjustment in the form of “mini slides” towards desired direction.You’ll be tempted to cover more screen than you expected. However this will block crucial air ventilation, so start small and build out instead. Tape blocks both visibility and airflow because the adhesive is not perforated but an unbroken strip. Hence the price.Greatest screen wear naturally occurs around screen edges where screen mesh meets frame in a fold – stress is greatest here. Start at screen perimeter and check for areas that have detached from frame altogether – oh yes! Tape allows you to remedy problem by overlapping by 1/4″ onto the frame itself.Overlap onto frame then finish by burnishing or pressing screen tape into groove of space between screen and frame with fingertip or chopstick. Burnish it down to remove bubbles.I found it much easier to install perfectly aligned medium length rather than impossible to manage long length pieces. Trim tape to absolute minimum needed and abut rather than overlap additional pieces.Expect fingers to gum up – wash in very warm water.Even as I installed I witnessed frustrated mosquitos hitting the screen repeatedly “testing” the screen for holes, trying to get in or out. I’d never noticed this activity before midday, but there it was.Remains to be seen how screen tape adhesive performs over time.

Had one torn panel from a plant I allowed to get too tall. Hate to try and get a guy in to replace a single top panel so tried this. Been around a month and so far so good, sticking well. I can reach the place to tape from my ladder but don’t have enuf reach to replace the panel myself. I’ve enuf tape to replace a BUNCH of times so $ well spend IMO. I may go up and apply a second piece to other side and make a ‘sandwich’ ….

Good for humans, not for cat
This stuff works really well. It’s super adhesive and while it doesn’t make it pretty, it definitely makes your screen cleaner-looking. Yes, you absolutely should put the tape on both sides of the screen. The adhesive is very, very sticky and if you place them so they are facing each other, the gooey adhesive will merge together and provide you with that much more stability, even with “dusty” screens (although. It’s easy to cut and apply. You might end up with some adhesive on your fingers but it’s easy to peel off.I bought this because I have a cat who thinks screens are cat-optional for access to the backyard. This tape definitely deterred him for a couple of weeks. But then he realized he can just slowly claw away at it and remove the tape. And claw away he did. Almost all of the tape that I put up on the inside has been removed (I doubled up on the outside and he even somehow was able to claw that out. I’ve tried to periodically replace what he has torn off but I ran out of tape. That said, if you don’t have a cat who is hell-bent on getting out, screens be damned, then this tape works very well for minor and even major patches. My cat managed to entirely separate the screen from the edges and I used this tape to repair the huge hole he clawed through and it did so pretty quickly and easily. Even though this tape is very cheap and affordable, I think I’m going to apply the money towards re-screening the screen (there’s an awesome cat-proof heavy duty screen out there on Amazonland – some guy posted his cat actually trying to claw open the screen to no avail).Bottom line, this is great if you don’t want to have to completely re-screen your door. But if you have animals with zero f’s given like I do, then I’d probably try another approach.

This Produce actually works!
This stuff actually works. I was skeptical, but it proved me wrong. Not only that it was easy to do.If you have ever repair a hole in drywall, the steps are the same. If you haven’t, no worries. You’ll be just fine. I’ll tell you what I did and you will get great results as well.1. I trimmed the area of the hole. Getting rid of any frayed screen. Leaving only a clean hole.2. Sprayed the screen front and back with our sink sprayer nozzle. Allowed it to completely dry.3. I layed out a piece of wax paper on the surface I was going to be laying the screen on. This product is very sticky. The sticky will not stick to the wax paper.4. I layed the screen flat over the wax paper. Cut lengths of this screen product to fit the hole. And, then flipped the screen over and did the same to the other side. I did this for two reasons. One-make the repair stronger. Two-anything that comes in contact with the sticky will stick to it. That means dirt, bugs, whatever. That would be rather unsightly!That’s it. It’s that simple. I should point out that the screen repair IS NOT breathable, but it is repaired, and not much air circulation will be lost. Main thing is-it’s repaired.

Mosquito emergency fix
I live in a heavily mosquito infested area (Louisiana). My husband was moving some stuff out of the house to outside to work on it and punctured the screen. Immediately those little vampires started coming inside. That afternoon I was on Amazon and looked up screen repair and this showed up. I thought I would give it a try. The cost was reasonable. I am so glad I did cause I am mosquito free. My husband used it and said it was a very simple fix.

Retractable Screen Repair
Excellent screen repair kit for our retractable screen damaged from our pet dog. Cut the tape to size. Suggest to cut two of the same size. One for the outside and one for the inside; to sandwich them together. After 3 weeks of retracting the screen, I had no problems with the tape’s adhesion. The tape appearance is noticeable, but it is something I can live with to (1) keep the bugs out and (2) extend the service life of screen.

This tape works great. It’s easy to work with and holds great once it drys. Except I should’ve ordered gray, so expect another order 😆Update: I ordered gray I and it’s a much better color for my use.

Facile à poser, j’ai utilisé ce patch pour réparer un store enroulable déchiré à la base. La tension sur le store étant importante, j’ai sécurisé la réparation en mettant le ruban sur chaque face de la moustiquaire et ça résiste bien. Je recommande.
