Working great so far
This inexpensive little Echo Spot is actually working better than our more expensive “main unit”, an Echo View 5. It responds faster, is more dependable, and simply functions the way they both should, despite being considerably farther away from the WiFi router and cheaper.It also “hears” better – on a number of occasions, until we changed it’s name from Alexa to differentiate the two, when I’d speak to the Echo View 5 from just a few feet away, the Spot would respond first from a separate room, 25 feet away in the master bedroom. Also, the speakers sound pretty darn good for such a tiny thing!Pretty seamless and trouble-free after about a month, and the clock numbers are big and easy to read too. Attractive, simple, functional, and trouble-free so far. We like and recommend it!

Welcome to 2025!!
Now this is what I expect for technology to be in 2025!! It was incredibly easy to setup and it is so fun and easy to use with voice commands. Alexa is super responsive and is literally like having a conversation with a friend. You don’t have to think about how to phrase what you want to ask of her, you just talk like you would normally talk to anyone else and she understands and even offers extra help. The quality is outstanding, and songs sound so good when playing music. I don’t know how I got by without my echo but I sure don’t ever want to be with it, and Alexa, ever again!

Perfect for bedroom
Was seeking an alexa item that wasn’t as big as the echo show but was bigger than the dot for the bedroom. It is the perfect size! We have it on our night stand. It is easy to set up and use. You can tap the top of it to turn off set alarms. It is not bright in our face when we wake up. Looks super cute! I enjoy that there is a screen for the album artwork while it plays. The time is in red during the night when we are sleeping. The sound is great quality also which is important to me during my morning dance parties with my boys.

Almost perfect
I’ve been using this as alarm clock for a week now and I love it! I even got to set up a whole lot of it before I got it because of the app. I still had to set up a few things like alarms, brightness, and loudness when I actually got it. But they made that part super easy too! I got it plugged it in and it worked instantly. The amount of detail that they put into this was probably way too much because I’ve tried multiple other alarm clocks but this one hit the sweet spot for me. It’s not horrible and the quality is really good.I put it in my bedroom and I have other people in my room that don’t want to wake up at the time that I do. So I just didn’t set up the schedule stuff that plays after you turn off your alarm. I use it to play music every once in a while and it plays super well.Now if anyone wanted to know why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the background that I have set is green so I can see it across my room just too check the time really quick. But it randomly turns a pinkish orangish looking color and it’s hard to see. I thought that it was just a notification so I asked it “Alexa, what is my notification” but it just says oh it doesn’t look like you have any notifications and then turns back to the color that I set originally which was green. Now I’m thinking that it is inactivity but I can’t find that either. If anyone can help me find this setting that would be great.Anyways, sorry about the tangent but if your looking for an alarm clock then you should get this one.

Great product.
I just received this today and had it linked to my Alexa when I ordered it. It came this morning, I plugged it in AND it is all set up. I have older echos but I really love this new echo. The time is very clear, the weather can be displayed and the sound is wonderful. I can control my lights by voice and phone app. I play Amazon music softly during the day and I can also ask Alexa a multitude of questions. I have even thanked Alexa for turning off my lights and have gotten a “you’re welcome Barb” or another witty response. Let me tell you – this 77 year old woman loves the convenience of Alexa.

I bought this clock for my bedside table and it’s perfect. It’s simplistic design with core Alexa features make this ideal for any room. I have been looking for a clock that would have a dim option for during those late/early hours so that the clock wouldn’t glow at night and this one is great. I set a time frame that I want to put my clock on sleep mode and the time changes to a dim red (so easy on the eyes if I wake up in the night). I also like that you can personalize the clock face (i.e. colours, weather, etc) to whatever suits your style. The speakers are also on par with other Alexa devices (clear, good treble/bass). I don’t have anything negative to say at this point. I did have a bit more trouble getting it set up, there were some pairing issues with the app but it eventually worked. Overall, I would buy this again for other bedrooms in my house.

Se ve muy bonito, luce muy bien. La configuración es muy sencilla, sobre todo si optan por enlazar la configuración desde la compra. Suena bastante bien. La pantalla se aprecia perfectamente y el modo táctil responde sin ningún problema. Puedes escoger el tipo de reloj que quieras además de los colores y hacer todo lo que haces con otros dispositivos Alexa aunque esté también te ayuda a manejar otros dispositivos inteligentes. En mi caso solo lo quiero para oír música, noticias y su función como reloj despertador. Mis dos “peros”. Al parecer la temperatura solo la muestra en grados Farenheit y no en Celsius. Y aunque busque la opción no encontré donde cambiar esa configuración. Ésto tal vez se arregle después con futuras actualizaciones. Y, lo enviaron en un sobre. Me parece qué tratándose de electrónicos debería de manejarse un embalaje qué proteja de mejor manera el producto. Definitivamente estoy muy contento con la compra y es un producto altamente recomendable además ahorita está en un precio rebajado para miembros prime, quien sabe si baje un poco más dado que ya viene el prime day.

El modelo en sí, es muy vistoso, tiene acabados muy elegantes y de buen material, el sonido tiene una diferencia de 3 decibeles más en comparación con el echo dot 5ta., realmente no es mucha la diferencia, sin embargo se alcanzan a apreciar un poco más los bajos.La pantalla touch definitivamente le aporta mucho, se puede cambiar la apariencia del reloj, los niveles de brillo y control de música.El tamaño es un 30% más grande que el echo dot 5ta., supongo que es para compensar la ubicación de la bocina, debido al tamaño de la misma.El voltaje de uso en promedio es de 2.5 watts con brillo máximo…ya en modo música vol. 10, alcanza un promedio de 3.6 watts, lo cual ahorra bastante energía para la potencia que mantiene!El modo nocturno es conveniente si te molesta la luz de la pantalla por las noches, la pequeña desventaja es que esta no se puede apagar en su totalidad, pero realmente no es molesto, ya que la pantalla tiene tecnología de ahorro y baja luz.(Actualización, ya incluyeron el apagado de la pantalla, se agradece muchísimo)El mostrar las carátulas de las canciones es bastante bueno, sin embargo: no me agradó, que al reproducir música, las carátulas de las canciones se mantienen todo el tiempo.Solución: le tienes que dar la indicación: “Alexa, inicio” para que nuevamente muestre el reloj.Por lo que, si de alguna forma te interesa escuchar música y ver tu reloj al mismo tiempo desde una distancia de más de 2 mts. Será casi imposible visualizar el pequeñito reloj que aparece sobre las carátulas de la música…espero tengan alguna actualización a ese detalle.En general estoy muy contento, definitivamente vale la pena!Por mi parte yo le daría un 4.7 en general.Iré actualizando si descubro más detalles en pro o vs.Actualización:-Añadieron el apagado de pantalla (se agradece mucho!).
