Works well for small items
It does what it’s design do do. Wash small garments like a lightweight pair of shorts, swim trunks, socks. Basically small items that otherwise would need a full size washer. In that regard, it saves water. It comes with a detachable cage supposedly for spin dry, but it wasn’t too effective. Just better to hand wring items. So overall it cleans OK, but very limited by its size. It’s easy to fold down to save storage space

Works well, but loud and splashes water
I bought because after surgery I am unable to go downstairs and use my regular washing machine. I have a laundry service doing the bulk of my laundry but I didn’t want to send my underthings. The machine does do a decent job of cleaning, but it is loud and the lid does not fit tight so water splashes out a little. Also, it came with ZERO instructions. I also don’t use the drying basket as it is so tiny. Not worth it. I just ring out the fabric and hang to air dry. I’m glad I have it, but I would not have bought it if I was not in these circumstances.

Works better then expected, however the components do not nest.
I picked this unit up with the idea of using it for weekend boat trips, camping and maybe 2 week cruises.First off, the unit arrived with the drain plug popped out of its socket hence the 4 stars. The plastic tabs were a little stressed, I managed to pop it back in and it has held for about 30 minutes of operation and I don’t see where it’s going to pop back out any time soon.As far as how it works I give it 5 stars, as seen in the pictures I took a pair of work gloves that hasn’t been washed in about 8 months of working day to day as a truck driver which includes a fair amount of grease and oil lol.I ran the gloves with a out a 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap for 5 minutes and then 2, 5 minutes rinse cycles, and then a spin dry cycle. Even with the synthetic leather palms on the gloves I wasn’t able to bring any more water out of them after the spin cycle. As far as air travel with the unit, I would say it’ll take up about half of a carry on bag, unfortunately the basket can’t fit inside while it’s packed down, however there isn’t any internal batteries in it so as long as it is dry TSA shouldn’t have a issue with it, laundry can get expensive on cruise ships so it might be worth it depending on your needs.Overall I’m impressed with the unit. If you want to wash small items in about 10 minutes or if there’s no normal size units convenient, or maybe the item is just to dirty or greasy to go into your home washer then this is perfect.

does the jobs its intended to do .. small load washing king
Ok, this is definitely a product with its unique use case and thus can not be judged with regular options. This portable mini washer basically upgrades your hand-washing experience, if you have a small load of laundry this can be the goto thing to get the job done.It lacks in various aspects, power, speed load capacity ….. my use-case for this product is the daily washing of new-born clothes (burp towels, cleaning rags, clothes etc) .. this washer is an ideal match for it… For a quick wash here and there, or washing cleaning towels batch is a perfect candidate for this machine.

Not very practical
This was my first time using a portable mini washing machine. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but in general this machine is a bit impractical with limited functionality.Firstly, the only instructions that were included were to show how to pull up and extend the machine from its compacted position. It’s nice that you can make it compact to save space. It’s also light and easy to move. I ended up needing to go here to their product page where there are instructions. It is pretty common sensical to operate, but it’s nice to have instructions.Another issue I had was not being able to remove the spin cycle cart once I snapped it into place. It’s especially frustrating since the spin cycle is useless. More on that in a moment.Operation: since it needs to be both plugged in and filled with water, which then needs to be drained, you’ll need to find the right spot, whether that’s a bathroom, kitchen, etc. Then you add hot water about 2/3 of the way up, a little detergent, and a *small* number of delicate clothes. Then plug in and close the lid before turning on and selecting the cycle. That’s important, because it will bounce around and splash water. After I ran a cycle I noticed the clothes were a bit soapy, so I ran another cycle using just water, which helped. I may have used too much detergent to be fair. Then I drained the water and ran the spin cycle. The spin cycle predictably doesn’t do much. Water will drain out using it, but it’s really just a waste of electricity since it’s much less effective than just hand-wringing the clothes, which is what you’ll have to do anyway even after using the spin. It’s best to just wash the clothes, wring them out, then hang dry them. The clothes did come out clean at least. As far as the clothes, this mini washer is really only for underwear and other small delicates. Pants? Not a chance. Sweatshirt? Nope. A shirt? Maybe, depending on how thick or thin. I just use it for socks and underwear, and would only recommend it for that. But leave out the spin basket as it is useless and difficult to remove.Overall it’s effective on a very limited basis if you know what to expect and only need something on occasion for clean underwear in a pinch basically.

finally
after being super lukewarm about the prior portable washer that i reviewed, i was extremely reluctant to review another, but i’m glad i took the opportunity nonetheless. the main benefit of this washer, aside from slightly larger physical sizes, is the fact that the basket locks in in 3 places as a clip-on feature for no basket-flying-away-and-rinsing-being-completely-useless. that alone bumps up the unit a star. the blue light appears to be for show; i’m not sure if it’s really UV. yes, due to the design, and the fact that home and commercial washers are much higher powered — the spin cycle as per the design is rather anemic, but it will get you a tad started after draining the bucket. add about 5 minutes of hand-wringing for the items before drying and you’re all set. the 4 test items came out nicely clean afterwards. 5 stars!
