What type of water should I use on my steamer?
We highly recommend using distilled water to prolong the life of your steamer and to prevent mineral build-up caused by hard water (tap water).
The steam is weak
SALAV Standing Garment Steamer with Smart Auto-Off has 1500 watts of powerful steam. Please make sure to connect it to an outlet by itself with no other appliances. Make sure that the outlet can support 1500 watts.
I just got my steamer and the steam hose is really stiff.
The hose is made with dual-insulated material to regulate temperature and once you start using your steamer, the hose will become softer.
The water leaks from the steamer.
Please make sure that the water tank cap is securely attached to the water tank. If it’s not attached correctly, the water will not drain properly and would leak.

A Must-Have for Costumers and Crafters — Powerful and Easy to Store
I got this garment steamer to help with sewing large costumes, and it’s been a total game-changer. The steam output is powerful and consistent, and it works so much faster than pulling out the iron and full-size board every time I need to de-wrinkle or shape fabric. The XL comfort board is especially helpful when working with long hems, layered skirts, and wide panels of fabric—it gives just enough structure to steam things flat without being too bulky.Setup is quick, and the smart auto-off feature gives me peace of mind when I’m multitasking in the craft room. I’ve forgotten it was on more than once, and thankfully, it shuts itself down if left idle. It heats up fast and the water tank is large enough to get through a full costume session without needing constant refills.I also love how it stores. The entire thing folds down in a way that actually fits in the corner of my craft room closet, which is rare for anything this size. If you’re a home sewist, crafter, or costumer, this is one of those tools that makes a big difference without taking over your whole space. Definitely worth it!

Not for me.
First and foremost, this machine works. However, you must be careful of the steam. It will burn you, so please keep that in mind. I just think it could have been made a little bit better. Some can work with this easy, but respectfully this is not for me. It does work and will steam your clothes. However, it’s entirely too big. Has a cheap feel to it.

Does a Good Job and Easy to Use
This easy to use standing garment steamer does a good job of quickly removing wrinkles from fabrics in seconds. The 1500 watt steamer has an auto on/off function with 6 fabric settings (linen, cotton, silk, wool, blend, & jersey). From top to bottom the steamer is approximately 5’ tall when the adjustable pole is fully expanded. The pole holds the backboard, and the steamer nozzle and slides up and down. The steamer sits on a plastic base that does a good job of providing stability. The removable water tank holds just under ½ gallon (1.8 liters) of water and has a drain hole at the base. The ironing backboard can swivel vertically or horizontally. It has a hanger holder attached which is convenient to hold garments while steaming. The adjustable holder for the steamer nozzle sits behind the backboard. The quality of the steamer is good and given that the steamer does a very good job, I recommend it to anyone giving it consideration.

good but not quite perfect
took a chance on this one since most reviews were for a free product. so far so good! arrived yesterday, used it twice. the hose arrived frayed in one part 🙁 but still works fine. the steam output is great, with a handful of different fabric settings to choose from. i was sold on the capability to use the steamer upright with clothes on a hanger or flat like an iron. steaming in both settings performed well. assembly was easy enough and the general design and concept of the unit is good but not perfect. the hose is a bit short to the point that you can’t hang it in the holder when the pole is fully extended to its highest height. the pole is also a bit wobbly, which isn’t too surprising given most of the unit is cheap plastic. fingers crossed this holds up for a while!

Love this steamer! It’s amazing.
I was initially taken back by the size of the box when it arrived. I thought oh no what have I done but after removing it from the box and assembling it which took about 5 minutes it should fit nicely in my closet.This little steamer has it all. Options to steam various garments including silk, cotton, jersey, wool, linen!!! 🤯 It’s got a attachable small ironing board and a hook for a hanger to make the atemsing process easier.It also gives you instructions on how to clean it out and the reserve tank so that your not using stale water each time.Most of it is made of plastic with the steam hose being made of a thick sturdy fabric weave. The nozzle where the steam comes out is metal I’m assuming aluminum or a plated steal so it doesn’t rust.There are so many options and customizations that this little steamer can pretty much tackle any task. I have a small hand steamer but this one is definitely 1000% better. It’s not super loud about as loud as you’d expect a steamer to be which is to say not very. Once assembled it stand about four feet tall with the iron board and hanger attachment which are option to keep on. Although it does make the steaming easier. Without those attachments it’s about 2 feet tall since the rod for the attachments can expand and shrink down but only down to about 12 inches.Overall I love this and I think it’s going to be a staple in my house.
