    Very Happy with my investment!
I’m so happy with my new Sensi!First one didn’t work, but I didn’t know my existing C wire was not on the correct terminal on the control panel in the furnace. While awaiting my replacement to come and had already dropped off the (not)defective one to the UPS Store I was messing with the furnace for a new problem. That’s when I realized it.Anyway, the new one arrived a couple days ago so I installed it and works perfectly!Way adjustable, I can see it paying for itself quickly and ensuring my old furnace runs as efficiently as possible while helping it live longer. And the WiFi app is very easy to use.The fan control is awesome. You can set the fan to circulate on low for certain percentage of time per hour when the heat isn’t running. So when I leave for the office and the temp drops down, it circulates throughout the day to keep the temps equalized (and takes advantage of the free warmer air from the sunny side of my house. Same with overnight.Overall, I used to think WiFi thermostats were gimmicky, before I understood how cool they really are. I personally despise the company that makes the Nest, after reading about the Sensi and better understanding things I decided to go for it.Very happy I did. Just make sure you have a C wire and it works! With a voltmeter touching the RH (red) and C (blue), it needs to read between 24-28v. Mine read 27.5v so I was good to go. Works perfectly!

    Better than expected
This works great! I have a family member that can’t see. We setup the thermostat to automatically change from heating to cooling depending on the temperature. We can change the settings from our phones and monitor the temperature and usage.Easy to use. The app is needed to setup the unit. It ask for the wire colors and lets you know that the thermostat will work with your heat pump. It give you the wiring diagram and stickers.Great product

    The perfect temperature control
Several of my customers have bought this setup, and they all love it! The sensors make a huge difference—people enjoy being able to control everything right from their phones and make sure the room they’re actually using stays at the perfect temperature. Most homes have thermostats placed near a warm hallway or doorway, so the reading is off and other rooms get too hot. This system fixes that completely!

    works great
Works great, added a sensor for our back room, now the AC stays on till that room is cool, you can also disable and enable the sensor on the Sensi itself or enable/disable the added sensor, so it will ignore one or the other.

Poor customer service (none) , don’t hookup to internet
I bought 2 of these for my house. Installed one so far and it seems to work so far (about an hour runtime so far. Here is what you need to know:  1) No way to contact SENSI unless you have the app, maybe. ( On perpetual hold with the phone number on the web site)  2) no way to register the product without the app. 3) If you happen to not use a smart phone, and use the thermostat as a stand alone thermostat, it seems the company doesn’t want to know about you, your purchase, or questions. 4) The instructions that come in the box with the stat are limited and pretty much require you to download the manuals from their web site to complete the setup after installation. That said, the stat looks nice, is pretty hefty for a stat which imply to me good build quality. There are a lot of different setups which is nice, once you download the manual. Might be easier and/or more settings with the app, but my primary reason for this stat was for the remote sensor ability. The stat is workable without the smartphone app, which I like, but the inability to register the stat, and not be able to chat or email the company for any questions is sad. Most people probably have smartphones, or want the features and convenience(?) of running the stat with their smartphones, and this would work better for them. But it leaves us old school folks, and people in poor or no cell service areas in the dark.7/9 UPDATE…cannot connect to internet despite following troubleshooting instructions given on app. (BORROWED A SMARTPHONE) after about 6 attempts, rebooting the stat, rebooting the router etc. each time, I get no signal what-so-ever. Starting to think these will go back since it doesn’t function with a smart phone, and you can’t get to all the needed features without a smartphone.AGAIN NO CUSTOMER SERVICEMoving to a 1 star unless I get some satisfaction from SENSI. Will try and get customer service once again…UPDATE 7-10After another day of trying to get the SENSI to connect to the internet, and making several attempts to contact SENSI (wait on the phone with no response), Going through the troubleshooting and rebooting routine with no positive result, I had to return due to what I consider defective equipment. There is a total lack of any customer service so if you get one ( I bought 2 and neither would connect) that works you’re probably good to go, if not, you are unable to get to certain settings that are only available through the smartphone app.A shame too as I liked the look of the stat, and it seemed like a well made unit.I did AC work for 30 years and was moved to the original purchase by their Copeland brand…who also make great AC compressors. Their stats are no-go in my experience.UPDATE 7-17Bought and installed a brand starting with an E, hooked right up to internet, easy to setup, remote sensors worked with no hassle. So far the new stats work as I had hoped a smart stat with remote sensors would. The app works well and has a lot more programmable options than the Sensi. And they answer the phone.

Très bon produit de très haute qualité, l’application est une vrai merveille. J’aime bien suivre la consommation d’énergie dans l’application.

I would not recommend it .I had a sensi touch smart thermostat installed a few weeks back with new heat pump and I was not happy with it because my Aux gas heat was used every morning to supplement heat when the heat pump was able to manage the temp with no issues .I decided to change it to Sensi touch 2. The key for me was to be able to access Aux lockout and balance point .To my surprise the settings are -4°C and -5°C and can not go any lower than that.My heat pump is build for very low temperatures down to -25°C I need to set it lower as I want to limit my gas usage. Maybe a software update can fix it?In addition I would like to suggest adding outside temp showing on the main screen of thermostat not only on phone app. After talking to tech support that is next to impossible to reach he also pointed out that my outside temperature was not available (on the termostat) but my internet connection is good . I’m in the process of replacing the thermostat as suggested by tech support but I have seen the same issue in comments and I think this is the problem with all of them . I will get replacement and check .If it does not work I will go with different brand name.UPDATE: second unit was the same. I got instructions to modify settings port forwarding in my router and this is a bit to much for me. Decided to go with ecobee instead and ….BOOM is fantastic . No issues and great settings . My gas never starts and I see weather on my main screen. Really no contest.

The wifi circuits have failed already. The thermostat requires an Internet connection to control this. No local API is available. The thermostat is only a couple months old.
