Keyboard feels well put together and solid in operation. Happy again.!
Ok.. Finally. The keys feel so solid and amazing to me. They’re right where my fingers think they’re going to be.. which is always nice. I like that the colors are ..sorta muted.. And, the fact that when adjusting them the brightness starts about halfway up rather than at full tilt. So, the keyboard is very easy to use and fulfilling to deal with since everything is quietly powerful feeling. Now, truth be told.. the software feels kinda janky but after some fiddlin’ with it.. it’s ok. And, I don’t have to run it or have it auto-start so that’s a plus.Hoping this will be a long term relationship since I am pretty much fed up trying different keyboards since my k740 started being too far over the hill to continue using.Alright.. *Cheers to (of all things) an Alienware keyboard. (Never would’ve guessed I’d end up here again) Surprise.!

Great keyboard! Wired is the way to go for longevity
Previously had a wireless keyboard from a random brand that I liked, before it started crapping out on me. The aesthetic of it being wireless was nice, but it just wasn’t doing the job. Decided to spoil myself with this one and upgrade to wired so there wasn’t any connectivity issues. Love it so much and it is worth the money!

Awesome! Quiet, efficient, excellent responsiveness and volume control.
This keyboard is amazing! Love it to death. Prior to this purchase I had a rather nice and expensive Razer mechanical keyboard. Don’t get me wrong – Razer makes AWESOME products and all that but for my tastes A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD (NOT THIS KEYBOARD) IS TOO LOUD. FAR TOO LOUD.I type extremely fast and the clack clack clack of a mechanical keyboard sounds like tossing a ball bearing into a paper shredding. Don’t ask me how I know. THIS keyboard has a shorter key stroke, quietly operating key engagement, on-keyboard volume control with mute, well lit keys and the standard layout that I, as a gamer, have come to expect. BUY THIS KEYBOARD NOW!!!! OMG I love this thing and I’m not being paid or endorsed by anyone to leave this review. Seriously, I can type at 100+ wpm and still actually hear the video that I’m watching. LOVE IT. Soooo smooth and looks amazing to boot. The only downside to it is that it does not come with a padded wrist rest which I come to expect with a keyboard of this price but I already have one and I’m using it now. This does not take away from the rating of the keyboard itself, nor do I feel that it detracts from the value of this keyboard for the money. If you do not possess very good control of your typing (mainly in the form of intentional key strokes) then you will likely find this keyboard too sensitive. But I absolutely ADORE THIS KEYBOARD!!!

Cherry MX is still the winner
I used to miss my full size Corsair K70 with the volume scroll wheel and number pad after using it for nearly 10 years, so it was a bit of a learning curve to adjust to a TKL setup. For about 2 months prior to purchasing the AW420K, I was using the Logitech PRO X TKL RAPID, making all the necessary adjustments in the software and learning to adapt magnetic-analog switches on a smaller size keyboard. The issue I had with the switches was that unlike the Corsair K70, the W A S D didn’t have swappable textured keycaps and I had to keep checking my hand positioning when typing and gaming. Additionally I found that typing on the PRO X keyboard was difficult and the AW420K is much more comfortable and I make less keystroke errors. The keys are LOUD, but not MX BLUE loud. The keys also have a pinging sound is some of the larger keys although I really don’t mind this as the typing is much more natural due to the feedback and really, you can’t notice with headphones on.As you can see, I am using multiple Alienware products and the Command Center was very simple to operate and adjust- I thought this was worth mentioning because I read many reviews that stated it was confusing.

Fantastic clicky upgrade from Corsair
Finally replaced my aging Corsair K70 RGB. This keyboard is sleek and sounds amazing. Definitely worth it if you can find it on sale.Key highlights:• Low-profile Cherry MX Red switches (clicky variant): That crisp, audible click-clack is pure joy.• Lunar Light aesthetic: Clean white/silver with per-key RGB that syncs flawlessly via Alienware Command Center. Matches my monitor setup perfectly.• Ergonomics: Low-profile design reduced wrist strain during 8+ hour sessions.

First keyboard I received had a manufacturing defect on the enter key, making it feel like it was getting hitched on something when I pressed it. It happens, exchanged it for a new one which works perfect.Key presses are nice, doesn’t require a lot of pressure which makes them quite sensitive. Typing takes a big to get used coming from a membrane, and the keys are angled differently than my old keyboard, but I got a handle on it within a day.Semi-quiet sound when typing which makes a nice, soft tap noise if you press all the way down. I was worried that since I’m sound sensitive that it would bother me, but it’s been fine and I’ve grown to like the sound a lot. (It got stuck in my head when I was sleeping the other night, but it was enjoyable.) It has a mute key and a volume scroller on the top right, which is what I wanted as my old keyboard had it.The lighting is great, and I love that you can save profiles directly to the keyboard itself and cycle through them with the FN + F3 key, and change brightness with FN + F5/F6. I find myself sometimes watching my fingers instead of the monitor as I type to watch the lights dance across the keys as I currently have the raindrop effect. The thick cord is a touch annoying as it uses 2 usbs – one for keyboard, one for passthrough – making it quite thick, but otherwise it’s a nice braided cord. If I don’t use the passthrough I might just hack off the USB end in the future. For now they’re both plugged in so the one doesn’t hang freely. My only gripe isn’t with the keyboard, it’s with the program itself for lighting. It works well enough, but it has its issues and can be finicky. For example, I have the morph when the keyboard is idling, switching between blue and purple, but when I type, it does have the pink raindrop effect I selected, but the main background where the pink doesn’t hit turns rainbow instead of keeping the original effect I chose, or it’ll go with the original Alienware blue. It’s an odd quirk that I managed to get around the first time, but now I need to play with the software again to figure out how to fix it. Annoying, but not a deal breaker since they could easily fix the software.I’m glad I went with this keyboard, as my old Logitech gaming keyboard got stiff after 8+ years of service and made typing completely horrible. I did research, and while I loved their low-profile keyboard (tested it in store), I did not want to fork out $250+ for a keyboard. After more research into RBG low-profile keyboards I decided on this one, and I’m not disappointed in the least. $130 well spent, and hopefully it’ll service me for several years.I can’t vouch for it for gaming yet as I have a neck injury that makes it impossible to game with a mouse for long periods of time (pinched nerve leading down to right hand), but I imagine it’ll work nicely.TL;DR: Keyboard is solid, good typing experience, lighting is gorgeous. Software okay but has issues.

Its a nice keyboard. Highly recommended. The product seems new but old packed and teared.
