    Great Product.
Works very well, extremely accurate and meshes with Apple Home very well.

  2. BOX

    Pretty good!
Pros: Impressively high quality. Paired in seconds to homekit. Was programmed with automations within minutes.Cons: No kickstand, no backlight, can’t switch from C to F, QR code was under the battery plate and took hours to find that out.

Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for Smart Bathroom Automations
The Aqara W100 has been an awesome addition to my smart home setup. The humidity sensor is extremely responsive — it reacts almost instantly when I open the shower door, which makes it perfect for automating my bathroom exhaust fan. I’ve set it to trigger the fan when humidity rises above 65% and to keep it running for 10 minutes after it drops, and it’s been working flawlessly.Beyond humidity, I’m using the buttons on the W100 for smart scene control: single presses toggle vanity and tub lights, and double presses start different Apple Music playlists like BEATstrumentals, classical, or nature sounds through my HomePods. Long presses even trigger a HomePod intercom message saying someone needs help in the bathroom — incredibly handy and easy to set up.The build quality is excellent, and even though I’m not using the thermostat integration, this device has already paid off just through the humidity and automation capabilities alone. If you’re into HomeKit or smart home automation, this sensor is a no-brainer.

These are junk. Do not buy.
ive bought 2 of these units and both of them came messed up.The first one I got wouldn’t display the humidity levels and I couldn’t get it to connect to matter.Got the 2nd one in and tried setting it up. The 2nd one came in and I could see more on the display but the humidity display would only so half of the number. I also tried to connect it to matter and it wouldn’t connect. But I found a way to tell it to connect to Zigbee and it did connect. But I couldn’t link it to my HVAC to adjust the temp. It wouldn’t see the unit. It saw the hub but after I told it to connect to it. It showed not linked.

easy matter onboard, limited capabilities through matter.
Configures (partially) through matter. One of the easiest matter onboards I’ve done. Unfortunately it doesn’t _configure_ – I can’t even switch teh display from C to F. It will _report_ through matter. The instructions are written in 5 point type and I don’t have a magnifying glass large enough to read them. When I get time I’ll look to see if there is a manual online.

  6. Sir Consumer

    Excellent Hardware; Actual Real-Time Information
Hardware: Aqara has done it again. This hardware feels solid and, because it has buttons, it inspires confidence that it will last. The flexibly of having the option of using Zigbee or Thread is why I like Aqara. All smarthome hardware needs to be flexible because it changes so quickly. This is a very pro-consumer consideration and shouldn’t be overlooked.Displayed Content: The “real-time” updates of the temperature and humidity has really impressed me in the brief time I’ve been using it. It starts changing when I pick it up because my body-heat increases the temperature it is sensing. We’ll see how it affects battery but, so far, this seems to be very accurate at sensing and displaying the information.[HA] Home Assistant: I added the W100 via Zigbee to an M3 Hub which is linked via Matter to my HA machine. It correctly reports that it is a “Aqara Climate Sensor W100” and exposes the temperature, humidity, all-three buttons separately, and the battery info. Excellent!Compared: I’ve used similar displays from Switchbot and iHome. They’ve worked well enough but the iHome is pretty dated/bulky, requires external power, and uses wifi. The Switchbot works well but lacks buttons, slowly updates, and the battery life doesn’t seem great so far; for the price, it’s a good value.TIP: Switching from Celsius to Fahrenheit wasn’t intuitive so I wanted to mention it for my fellow US users: press [+] and [-] together (no need to hold but timing is important)

Has potential but not ready yet as a matter only device
******Updated Review******After talking to an Aqara rep they recommended that if I wanted to connect this device to its OWN Aqara app I should buy an Aqara hub. This defeats the purpose of matter and hence my rating has dropped down to a 2 because you essentially cannot configure the device outside of some select options available within Apple Home. So what I thought was maybe a bug was intended usage*****Original Review 3 stars*****Has potential as a matter device but some issues keep it from being goodSetting it up as a matter device in Apple Home was easy. It read the matter sticker and added it.The first problem I ran into was you have really no options to configure the device besides the button presses which is a big feature but I am unable to do things like calibration of that is even a thingThe second big issue is I was unable to add it to the Aqara app because the app did not recognize my Apple TV as a matter hub. So even if Apple Home was missing options I could always use the native app to make changes but not in this case. So as of now if you want to add it to the Aqara app you need an Aqara hub it seemsI did find that I could thankfully change the temperature form C to F by getting the + and – buttons together (was in the use manual)The third issue but this might be an Apple issue. HomeKit does so the temperature of the device and I can even display it on my lock screen but I cannot show it on like a widget on my main screen or widgets menu. So it makes it less useful if I wanted a quick glance at the temperatures in the rooms if I have to open the Apple Home app every time.

  8. Paul

    Great device.
This is a great little device, but would benefit having a backlight when pushing the buttons. I use it to control my heat pump and also turn on/off my Aqara security system. Works like a champ!

  9. Ritsa

    Easy to connect.

  10. iPat

Can’t use two of those in the same home. First one works great and very responsive. Second one can never save any actions. Tried reinstalling everything multiple times, including switching them to Zigbee mode. All fails for two of them.

  11. Courtney

fyi this version does not come with the wall mount
