Good, Wide Coverage
I had two separate access points in my house. One was on the top-right of my house, the other on the bottom-left. I setup the same SSID name and password on each, so that my devices could move around the house and connect to either one automatically. However, if you were on your mobile device and the signal handed off to the other access point, there would be a momentary drop. Sometimes that’s not a big deal, sometimes it could mean dropping calls. Plus, even with two of them, I didn’t have a strong signal in all areas, and had no signal in some spots.I still want to continue using my exiting firewall/router, so I setup these in access point mode, and then positioned one in the top-right of my house, the other on the top-left of my house, and the third one centered on the first floor. The coverage is now strong just about everywhere, and roaming around with your mobile device hands off seamlessly to each tower as the signal strength dictates.A couple things to note: I have Ethernet wires in each one of those positions, so I’m using a wired backhaul. I can’t speak to the effectiveness wireless backhaul. The other thing, which I didn’t know when I made the purchase, is that there is no “Guest” network when you use it in the access point mode. That’s unfortunate, but I worked around it. Considering the very reasonable price, that’s not worth deducting a star. Maybe that will change in a future firmware update (hint, hint).

underrated
I like this router, it is a box of three which are individually wrapped “each in a box”. easy installation but app must be worked on

Does its job right
The company just added the mobile app along with a firmware upgrade and it seems working fine. The mesh units do their job which is supposed to do. Pretty satisfied so far.

Once properly setup the speeds and coverage are amazing.
I was really tossing up on giving 4 or 5 stars for this Mesh set.Let me start with the negative I found and why I considered lowering the rating by a star. I pulled these three units out of the box and setup the first one. I then added the other two to the network and they seemed to auto set themselves up using that first one like a master and the other two like slaves. I was initially very impressed with how easy that was. Then came the issue I found. After adding this mesh network I started seeing dropped network packets within my network. Even between devices not related to these wifi points. Immediately the question came up of was this because of the new things added to my network or do I have a dying switch or something else impacting my home network. I had an unmanaged switch and no way to easily troubleshoot what could be causing such an issue. With these being new I started with them. I went into each unit and took out all settings to have them mesh or talk together. My home router is handling DHCP and I really don’t need them doing anything other than offering an access point. With changing that configuration all dropped packets in my network immediately stopped. This tells me that something about these units trying to mesh was doing some kind of flood or something on my network that was causing lost packets. With the lost packet problem resolved I’m happy and these work perfectly in my home setup. If I had a managed switch I would try to narrow down what these units trying to talk to each other was doing. After changing how these are setup I realized they had a firmware update I did not have run. I did run the firmware but not sure if it would have resolved the prior issue I had seen. The fact that they can be updated give the maker the benefit of the doubt that they could improve on the mesh communications(if they didn’t already). Now if you are just using internet for streaming type use and browsing you may never even notice this issue. I work from home and the packet loss was noticeable on VOIP calls and input lag in remote systems. Now on to the positives. These offer a very good signal and putting 3 around my house has eliminated any even low signal spots. Every light and many other devices in my house are smart and I have lots of interference because of it. These points have made many smart devices respond much faster than before with having strong signal strength. I’m so blown away with how well these work that in spite of my traffic concerns around meshing I’m still keeping this at a 5 star review. For just using them as access points and not relying on their meshing these are amazing with adding coverage even in a signal saturated environment. One thing of note these are wi-fi 6 and that is not wi-fi 6E. I didn’t realize the difference until I was comparing these to my Asus AXE11000 that I use as my main router. Wi-fi 6 is the latest for using the 2.4ghz and 5ghz spectrums while 6E also adds support for the 6ghz spectrum. For me this is not a concern as I have zero application at home that needs more than the capacity afforded by the 5ghz spectrum with amazing signal strength. Until 10GB home internet is a thing I don’t see an immediate need for the 6ghz spectrum. I’m only noting this as I didn’t realize the differences between 6 and 6E until comparing.I have these rebooting nightly at the same time as my main router and everything has been flawless.I’m very happy with this set.

Awesome coverage and performance!
The Cudy AX3000 2.5G Whole Home Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System has exceeded my expectations in terms of coverage, performance, and overall network stability, warranting an emphatic 5-star review. This comprehensive 3-pack mesh system has seamlessly replaced my previous 3 x RT-AC66U Routers in mesh configuration, and the results are nothing short of phenomenal. The standout feature of the AX3000 system is its remarkable improvement in Wifi download speeds. In my Master Bedroom, the Cudy system consistently delivers an impressive average of 700 Mbps, marking a substantial doubling of the speed compared to my previous mesh system, which hovered around 330 Mbps. Throughout the house, the average 5GHz Wifi speed maintains an impressive 500 Mbps, showcasing the robust capabilities of the Cudy AX3000.The primary motivation behind this upgrade was the need for enhanced network stability, particularly considering the extensive number of devices connected to my 6,000 sq ft smart home. The old system, under the strain of over 40 devices, often exhibited lag, temporary lockups, and necessitated daily reboots. As depicted in the connected devices screenshot, the Cudy system has seamlessly accommodated 40 devices without any noticeable impact on performance. However, it’s worth noting a minor reporting discrepancy where devices connected via Wifi are inaccurately labeled as wired connections. While this doesn’t affect functionality, I anticipate that this minor issue may be addressed in future firmware updates.Since implementing the Cudy mesh system, I can now fully leverage my 1 GB internet speed. The installation process is straightforward when following the provided instructions. Configuring one unit as the primary router connected to the modem, with the other two units serving as nodes connected via Ethernet cables, ensures optimal performance. Given that each device only has two Ethernet ports (a 2.5 GB port and a 1 GB port), an Ethernet switch is recommended for multiple connections. While the system also accommodates Wifi backhaul, connecting via Ethernet yields superior speeds, especially when considering the increased load during the holiday season. This mesh system doesn’t merely resolve previous stability issues; it elevates the performance to unprecedented levels. As family members visit for the holidays, bringing along numerous devices, the Cudy AX3000 ensures a seamless and uninterrupted online experience for all. In conclusion, for anyone seeking a reliable, high-performance home network solution, the Cudy AX3000 2.5G Whole Home Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System is an exceptional choice that delivers on its promises and then some.
