    Amazing Tool
This drill sounds like a jet engine. So smooth. Really incredible. Came with a carrying bag, which was an unexpected surprise gift. How many DeWalt drills and impact wrenches have I owned ? This drill is by far the best thing I have ever bought from DeWalt. And I have everything DeWalt sells, including shirts. I’m a Hurricane Florence survivor. My house was a stud gut. It sucked. But I rebuilt it. 62% alone all by myself. When you have that much work to do the DeWalt stuff really makes it easier. Wish I had this drill but I would have killed it just like I did the old one. Unless I get another hurricane house to rebuild, I expect to have this drill for a long time. Did I mention it sounds like a jet?

    solid power drill.
I am a big fan of Dewalt drills. it works great and I have been using it for a while with no issues. It allowed me to drill holes in my tile shower to mount the shower door. It has enough power to get through most obstacles and it wasn’t too expensive, so it won’t break the bank.

    Great Bathroom Cleaning Drill
My husband has a bunch of Dewalt tools. I had a Black n Decker drill that I use to clean the bathroom and other areas of our home. But one time I used one of my husband’s Dewalt drills to clean the bathroom and loved it. HOWEVER, since the bathroom is wet and I didn’t want to ruin my husband’s drill, he encouraged me to get my own drill to use for things like this, so I won’t feel bad if I ruin it (accidentally). However, a $100 drill is a lot more expensive than a $35 drill if you ruin it.But I was tired of the chuck locking up and unlocking it was close to impossible where I have to pray over it. This DeWalt drill’s chuck is much more user-friendly and easy to use. So far, I’m glad I bought it. The battery is a bit skimpy, though. I would say the normal DeWalt batteries are better and last longer, well, it’s bigger, too.

    10/10 recommend
Husband uses it everyday. He was thrilled with his Christmas presents. Drill is great sized light weight but durable. Battery life is long, charges fast. Has strong power and works amazing. Greta value for the money.

    Hubby Present!
I bought this as a surprise gift for hubby. He LOVES it. Easy to use, nice storage case. Has a great grip, well balanced. Light weight, no matter what angle he has to use it, it never feels cumbersome.

    NEVER disassemble
This is my third DeWalt hand drill in, oh, 15 years? Longer, counting the ones that had the YUGE battery packs with the posts in the middle you shoved into the grip I’ve probably owned five.Thing is, they DO wear out, pretty much reliably AFTER the 3 year warranty. But there are small changes, better lighting, shorter, lighter, etc., over time so, planned obsolescence isn’t always a bad thing but…This started “slipping,” losing its grip on drills some time ago, even the ones with the hex base on them – I thought maybe the drill was coming loose in the hex hub but, no. The clutch was messed up.Unfortunately, this one never got registered – I have the receipt and it’s about four years old.I tend to beat the heck out of drill motors. I USE them a LOT for household/farm construction projects and, for the most part, get my money’s worth.I’m an inveterate tinkerer, amateur gunsmith among other hobbies and I’m not averse to opening up gadgets before I buy a new one to see if I can fix it.So I did.BANG! parts everywhere. gears, ring gears, pinion(s)?, greasy parts just fell out and, try as I could I couldn’t get any of it to reassemble completely, finally said, well, into the recycling bucket, and ordered a new one. $100. That’s 25 dollars a year on average and I own a half dozen-plus 2 to 5 amp batteries for them (and all the other DeWalt cordless tools I own) so it’s not that much of a loss, considering.Today, poking around for something under my trailer – parked close to my garage workbench – I found not one, not two, but three “extra” gears. There’s probably more around somewhere I’ll come across.I’m sure there’s a trick to reassembly. I still didn’t buy the extended warranty. I never use them. These things always seem to last JUST AS LONG AS THE WARRANTY plus a few days or months just to rub it in.I have a friend who SWEARS by the “RED BRAND” of power and hand tools; gave me a really hard time about DeWalt about five years ago. Then the chuck in his “RED BRAND” hoity-toity pricey cordless hand drill locked up so tight we couldn’t open it even clamped in a 4” Wilton vise; company made good on the warranty though, it was ONLY a few months old.Like they say, you pays your money and takes your chances.

Very good product, the battery lasts long enough, and works well, I recommend this brand

  8. John Corbett

    Very happy with this purchase
After year of using cheaper drills, I decided to go for a high end drill and I am glad I did. Plenty of power for a cordless drill. Easy to switch bits.
