It is easy to use
Overall I love this thermostat. It is black all the time until you walk in front of it and then it lights up with the temperature you have set rather than the temperature of the room. It’s okay, but I’d rather have the temp of the room on it. It is quite easy to use and I pretty much set the temp on my phone. It is very easy to use.

I prefer this older design over the latest version
I’ve had nest thermostats for years. Always liked the style and functionality. Was annoyed when they discontinued remote operation for V2.0 and earlier models. So I had to replace my older Nest with a new one. I bought the latest V4.0 and didn’t care for its appearance or functionality. I prefer the original Nest app to the Google app. So I bought this version 3.0 Nest which has the appearance and functionality that I like and used to.

Slow learner. Everyday we set it to 70 when we get up, and at 9am it moves to 64. We are retired so we are home all day, so we have to manually turn it up to 68 for our daytime temp.

Working Good
My old thermostat has been keep working for over a decade and now it’s gonna retire. This one looks very fashion and my wife strongly recommend to use this. I thought it would be difficult to install because my AC system was old and complicated, but actually it didn’t. I spent 10 mins to remove the old thermostat and mark all color cables behind and use another 10 mins to install this one. It’s working good now!

Got someone’s return… Used, passed off as new
Update: it was 100% used. Just tried to connect the nest app and it said it was already connected to another account. Did a full reset and got it connected to my account/app but it won’t connect to my Internet… Maybe that’s why someone else returned it. -_-Definitely did NOT authorize a used or refurbished purchase, was under the belief that this item was new.

The nest thermostat battery just kept dying. I even wired a power source for continuous charge to no avail. I bought a replacement battery off Amazon and it just didn’t work. I don’t recommend changing it yourself as it’s very easy to damage. After trying different things, I ended up purchasing this new base hoping it would work. After setting it up with the system details, it worked! Plug and play! Got the app working as well! What a relief! Highly recommend if your nest 3rd generation thermostat battery gives out.

Google Nest probably the easiest one to install and took about 10 minutes.Worked out of the box with my radiant heat (floor) and no issues.
