Great purchase
I had a Lasco 16″ white fan that has been flawless for roughly 9 years. I needed to replace my old white fan after I noticed a crack on the blade. Instead of replacing the blade I decided to get this newer, larger 18″ fan. This fan is quiet, definitely bigger, and this fan on low setting moves the air more than my old one did on the medium setting. I haven’t used the remote yet, but I’m sure it will be useful, but you don’t need the remote to use this fan.

Best Sleep!
I actually bought this for my 13 year old son because our new build doesn’t come with ceiling fans. We are in Texas where it’s always hot and humid 😮💨 so it was the first thing he asked me for. He went to his dads and I borrowed it…I’m impressed to say the least. The quality is good and durable! Like other reviewer said, it is loud. However! I am one of those ppl that play box fan noises for sleeping on YouTube. lol it’s the perfect sound honestly. The air flow is amazing! The highest level is 🤌🏻 💋

Works well in small space
This has worked well all summer for my small space without AC. I would have liked if the remote had worked so I didn’t have to get up in the wee hours to turn it off. It’s also a bit noisy.

Great fan with mid base
Ok so lets get the bad out of the way and the reason for the 4 stars. I will be comparing this to my broken Honeywell’s experience. So far I’m loving this fan but i really didn’t like the fact the whole fan is pretty much made out of plastic and the base is big, like twice the size of my Honeywell base. so if you have very limited space in your bedroom like me, make sure you have room for it. So I just took my old Honeywell base from my fan that broke and slapped it on the Lasko. Take notes Lasko if you are going to charge more than Honeywell at least make the base metal, the Honeywell base and construction for the most part is made of metal, feels very solid and not only is it made of metal but at the bottom it screws in to make sure the metal rod doesn’t move. with the slight modification this fan is the best thing ever. I wish the whole thing wasn’t made out of plastic. Like the fan grills I’m used to having fans that have a metal construction but i decided to take a chance on this anyway but it seems to hold up well so far. Don’t bother with the Velcro that comes with the remote, its cheap and it loses its adhesive after 24 hours so get your own Velcro if you need it. Also the remote strength isn’t that strong, I tested it by pointing the remote in the opposite direction of the fan and it would not work unless I pointed it directly at the fan but its still nice to have for those days you’re feeling extra lazy. lol Also why cheap out and not make the oscillation on the fan a button instead of the old way of waiting for it to move to the right spot and pull the switch on the back, my Honeywell had a button you could just press real quick instead, minor inconvenience to me, maybe I’m just spoiled, its just kind of confusing to come from a fan that was cheaper and used better materials and function for its design. Stay with me though these are just my personal critiques others may not care about at all.Now for the Good.Fan is strong and at setting one it has enough power for my needs, but this thing can go full force and blow a lot of air if you need it too, its much stronger than my old Honeywell and from what I heard Lasko makes really good long lasting fan motors. I like the fact that it has a built in timer for the fan, the Lasko logo looks great. Easy to assemble in a few minutes, I like the larger grill I feel like it pushes more air out due to its design better than my Honeywell. Also if the fan is making weird noise like clicking in the beginning, you might have made the same mistake as me and not put on the center hub that holds the fan blade in place tighter, I had to tighten it as hard as I could to make the noise go away so make sure you don’t tighten it too loosely I wont hold that against them though it was user error. If Lasko took some construction cues from Honeywell in the future and opted for more of a metal build their fans would be the best in my opinion but I’m guessing the cost of a reliable motor makes them want to cheap out on the construction of the fan a bit, BUT overall its a good fan and I’m happy with it for the most part. This is my first Lasko fan so I’m hoping it lasts a long time. If you are looking for a fan that blows a lot of air this is for you. Despite my criticisms I’m happy with this fan so far. I hope it holds up well. If you don’t mind a big base and the plastic construction you should get this fan.

Easy to assemble.
This fan, imo, is by far the best one being offered for the price. All other comparables are ranging from $80.00 to $120.00. 3 speeds and reminds me of an industrial fan. I highly recommend anyone looking for a silent, smooth, industrialish fan should look no further.

Great Fan! Love Lasko Fans!
Love Lasko fans!Whenever I visit my in-laws’ house, it’s SO STUFFY and hot in their living room. Yet they area always turning on their A/C but never successfully cooling down a 2-story home.I finally told them I would buy them a standing fan so at least they could have some air circulation. Came on Amazon to look for a Lasko fan and this one was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to put together and clean. Great height. Now the room is so much more pleasant to be in. My mother in law says she doesn’t have to turn on the A/C anymore, because the fan makes it so much cooler. She even remarked that their electricity bills should be much lower now, since the fan does the cooling down instead of their HVAC unit! HIghly recommend this brand and model!

Fan blade or tinnitus?… fan blade!
I needed to replace my fan that was an older model of this one when the motor finally stopped working after 5+ years. I put together this new one, plugged it in, and there was a high pitched whine coming from it not easily heard of you have tinnitus. After some troubleshooting it turns out it was the new flimsy plastic fan blade. I swapped the new fan blade out with the beefier plastic fan blade from the old one and it works perfectly. There is plenty of power, plenty of air movement to help cool the room, and the noise is equivalent to the older model. The speed indicator lighting on it is a little bright in a darkened room, but it’s easily covered up by electrical tape or other solution.

Fan is large and powerful. Kinda loud buy I don’t mind. Remote is nice but it doesn’t have the turning function on the remote. Still a great fan, keeps you very cool

The power on this fan is an understatement. The air it blows will make anyone want to use a comforter in the middle of summer. Not to mention that’s just on the first speed….Yes it has higher speed options. Careful when setting up as I broke the component that makes it swivel. The fan also is quite loud because of the amount of air it blows. Also the fan is big. 10/10 highly recommend.

This fan is AMAZING! It really delivers everything it promises, very powerful fan. I use it in smaller room so the medium setting is perfect, on high it’ll blow the paint off the walls, and I mean that in the best way possible! Also high setting is a bit loud for a small room, but it’s really not needed anyway. It’s on 24/7 in the middle of an excruciatingly hot heat wave, and cools enough for me to sleep well .

Why you asking me about a fan’s thickness? WTH is that? Daaaaaaaaamn that fan is thicccccccc…said NO ONE EVER.Anyway, about the actual useful elements to the fan. This fan is super easy to assemble if you’re a female. Likely not so much for the men in the crowd who are too manly to bother reading instructions and will probably end up assembling it into a toaster. This fan is POWERFUL. On it’s lowest setting, you could use it as a hair dryer. On it’s highest setting, it’ll blow you right into next year.Which lets be honest, with the way 2020 is going, sounds like a pretty good option right now.Gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it also sounds like a small aircraft, so if you’re hoping for something that is powerful yet quiet, this one checks the “nope” box on that front.

I had a Seville tower fan that needed to be replaced. The Seville fan was disgustingly dirty. After a couple of years, I couldn’t figure out, or be bothered, to take it apart to clean it. Finding a fan easy to clean was a priority for me, this definitely met the criteria.I been battling some pretty intense PTSD for the last couple of years, nightmares and running hot is protocol when I sleep now. I really thought the Seville fan was amazing, but by comparison, this thing will blow that pigs straw house right down! I really do love how strong the fan is. Thus far, I’ve only had to keep the fan on the second level. There’s still one whole level of cool I’ve yet to experience. The sound is pretty drowning, which for me, after a week or so, worked in my favour. I live in a quiet neighborhood, but I startle easily. So like, leaves blowing will wake me up. With the fan on, I can open the window and not be bothered anymore. It did take a bit to get used to the sound of the fan, but it was totally worth it for me. I’m very happy with my purchase.
