I installed them inside my Shop to detect if anyone comes threw Garage door or man door. Ringer is loud that I can hear it threw out the house. Now for the motion sensors, the range on mine are anything within 8 feet when they work.Placed 1 next to front entrance (regular door) and it activates around 6 feet away. the light comes on but sometimes the ringer doesn’t activate. I have walked in and past it within 1 foot of it and nothing. Found the best way to get this 1 to work is to make tons of movement directly in front of it. Had a few times it went off after door was closed and was walking back to house. This room has my large CNC and supplies (metals and wood) the sensor is not facing anything and is in clear sight of the door. Only thing close to it is my dual dust collection system.Originally placed the second 1 exactly 17 feet away from Garage door. I do have tons of larger wood working tools but sensor was above everything and in clear sight of door. I had to actually place a 2×4 from the ceiling down to get it closer to door just to get it working. This one seems to work fine but nothing over 8 feet away. I can come in from door side and it doesn’t go off anywhere near the 23 feet in description.The angle of the sensor is not very good I would say maybe a 15 degree arch. I can walk 1 foot on the outside of door and it won’t go off. I have just a single garage door in shop to take in and out materials and furniture.I guess I will just have to be happy with my cameras inside my shop. wanted something to alert my if anyone opened the garage door since it’s facing a alley way that has lots of traffic and cars. Wouldn’t like my thousands of dollars of tools come up missing.I went down to big box store and replaced these and they work perfect. I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone unless you have them super close to what you have them facing and not needing a reliable sensor.

Just installed very easy. Works great so far!
