Anti-Deflection Double Lock Design: One end is designed with 1/4″-20 screw and telescopic pin, knurled hand screw, can be manually tightened, and a wrench reinforcement hole is reserved, which can be tightened twice with a wrench. Nice and strong magic arm that can handle everything that I throw at it. It feels better made and more sturdy than your typical magic arm. I am happy with having it, but I do wish it had more mounting options on the clamp. Having Arri pins is so important and I am happy that they included them in their build.

I was looking for a solution to attach my DJI action camera to my bike. This thing is super stable, easily adjustable, and is built like a tank for what it is. Its strong enough that I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable connecting it to an APS-C camera with a small lens. Super versatile and well done, highly recommended!

Perfect for securely mounting accessories
The machining and fit/finish on this are fantastic. The clamp on the magic arm allows you to adjust between different diameters and even flat (non circular) surfaces like railings, desks, the back of chair, as well as a variety of circular options like pipes, dowels, and other circular items.The magic arm doesn’t move once tightened down and can easily support a half a pound or so. This allows me to mount my monitor to my tripod. It allows me to mount my flash receiver to a light stand. It also allows me to mount my DJI OSMO Pocket 3 camera onto nearly anything.If you want to get unique camera angle or mount accessories onto something that itself isn’t a treaded mount then this is the move

My favorite magic arm/clamp combo
My new favorite clamp and magic arm. Love this thing. The clam is the best i’ve ever used. I have a friction arm from SmallRig that has the same anti-rotation pins on it, and really love it. This is even better because the clamp is permanently installed on the arm, so it’s not going to come loose. Really great product.

Smallrigs are the go-to for these articulated camera arms and this model 5312 is once of the very well crafted ones. It has a nice solid weight to it and the arm are really strong and rigid once locked in.What’s super nice is the crafting of the thread to lock the camera and the main clamp which is really nicely machines. It has extra threads and pivoting metal end clips that have rubber feet. Overall another well made Smallrig product with well implemented features

Die Magic Arm von SmallRig hat eine hochwertige Verarbeitung – alles aus stabilem Metall, nichts wackelt oder wirkt billig. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Anti-Deflection-Pins, die verhindern, dass sich die Kamera beim Festziehen verdreht. Das ist ein echtes Plus im Vergleich zu anderen Halterungen, die ich vorher hatte. Die Crab Claw Clamp ist unglaublich flexibel – egal ob am Tisch, Stativbein oder Geländer, sie hält bombenfest. Die Tragkraft von 1,5 kg reicht für meine Noten vollkommen aus. Der Arm lässt sich leicht justieren und fixieren, und durch die vielen Gelenke bekommt man jede Perspektive hin. Die Schrauben sind griffig und lassen sich auch ohne Werkzeug festziehen. Für absolute Stabilität kann man aber noch mit dem beiliegenden Inbusschlüssel nachziehen.Kurz gesagt: ein vielseitiges, extrem stabiles Tool, das ich sowohl für Videoaufnahmen als auch im Fotostudio nicht mehr missen möchte.
