Easy Plug and Play Gigabit Switch
Easy 5 minute plug & play swap-out of the old 8 port Gigabit switch with this new 16 port Gigabit switch. Appears to be performing well. No complaints a week later. Now we have a few extra RJ-45 ports for future expansion.Speed test:In regard to the speed test I posted, this unit does not slow down the network. My issue is actually with the Internet service provider not providing the full 500 mbps…ughhh.Size:I was expecting this 16 port unit to be double the size of the 8 port unit but it turned out to be triple the size. We made it work in this cramped setting.The replacement of this Gigabit switch is part of an ongoing effort to improve our network speed and reliability/consistency.
