I’ve been running this UGREEN 10-port gigabit switch for about a week now in my small office setup, and it’s one of those rare network devices that feels engineered for reliability above all else. It’s a 10-port model with 8 PoE+ ports (802.3at/af compliant) and 2 dedicated gigabit uplink ports. The switch supports a 60W total PoE power budget, which is plenty for powering multiple IP cameras, VoIP phones, and even an access point simultaneously.Physically, it’s built like a tank. The housing is solid metal, not plastic, with a fine matte gray finish and minimal branding. It measures about 8.7″ x 4″ x 1.1″ and weighs just under 2 pounds—heavier than you’d expect, but that’s a plus for stability and heat dissipation. There’s no internal fan, so it runs completely silent, even under load. After several hours of continuous operation powering three PoE cameras (roughly 9W each) and two IP phones, the chassis temperature hovered around 42°C—warm to the touch but well within safe range.Setup couldn’t be simpler: it’s fully plug-and-play. I connected it directly to a router, plugged in several powered devices, and every link auto-negotiated at 1 Gbps instantly. The PoE ports are clearly labeled, and the two uplink ports make it easy to cascade another switch or connect to a NAS without losing a PoE slot. There’s also a built-in PoE auto-recovery function that detects and resets unresponsive powered devices automatically, which I tested by intentionally freezing a camera; it rebooted within 20 seconds without manual intervention.Noise, heat, and power draw are minimal—my meter measured roughly 8 watts idle and about 43 watts under moderate PoE load. The included AC power adapter feels high-quality and stays cool. Mounting options are flexible: it sits securely on a desk with rubber feet or mounts easily to a wall via the two built-in keyhole slots.Packaging was clean and professional, with foam padding and clear labeling. another good ugreen product. Most network gear feels like a cheap toy, but this switch is a two-pound metal brick. It feels more like enterprise hardware, less like plastic consumer crud.I plugged in my cameras / nas / home server / ports routed to a couple laptop link spots, and every port just worked instantly at full speed. No setup, no app, no nonsense. Also– completely silent; there is no fan whirring away in the corner.I didn’t test some of the smart features, like the ‘extend mode’ for long camera runs and an auto-reboot for any of my PoE devices that freeze up; I don’t have those in my network setup. I wouldn’t be able to use the vlan feature as I need to cross communicate between some of the devices. The other aspects though were good that were tested (heat dissipation, sound, speed, build quality). Even the power brick feels meaty. Have not had a single problem with it.

Handy 10-port Switch with 8 POE ports
First and foremost, I love that this is an all-metal case on this UGREEN Ethernet Switch. 10-ports is also very nice. Many similar ones come with only 8-ports. The ports are fast, I clocked speeds I would expect for 1000mbps port – it comes in very close to the same speeds on my trusty D-Link and TP-Link devices. I like that you can select different modes such as to make the 8 POEs there on VLAN.My only real issue with this device is that it is difficult to see the port numbers on each individual port. A secondary, possibly minor issue is that they do not explain the “extend” functionality very well. It would be nice if this could be at least semi-managed, so that you might have some better control over the VLAN

I Like It
I didn’t need the PoE capability that this switch has, so that part of it is untested in my case. Still, it’s nice to know it is there if I need it in the future for cameras and such.As a normal switch, it is plug and play, dropping into the place where my smaller switch was, and working fine. It has some weight to it making me think that it’s a good, quality item. Only time will tell if it lasts, but I would expect to get years of service out of it.I also appreciated the fact that it has a normal power cord and not just another wall wart that I have to make room for. In fact, my old one had a wall wart, so this was able to free up some space on the power strip. All in all, I really like this switch and am glad that I have it, ready for anything that comes my way that might require the PoE capability.

A great POE switch that performs!
A great POE switch that performs! I was very impressed with this switch. I used it to power my Reolink cameras and had zero issues. This switch is heavy and feels very well built. This is not a cheap feeling switch like many other brands are. The performance was great also. My speed tests were what you’d expect. It was easy to install as this is a non managed switch.

Wow!
Let’s start with just WOW! This switch is heavy and built like a tank. It feels good in the hand and looks good for a switch. It gets better because it uses a standard C13 plug, no weird adapters or wall warts needed. For enterprise or datacenter use, it supports an input voltage range of 110V-220V, so it fits in the rack and feeds off the 220V PDUs just as easily as it goes on my desk! It would be nice if UGREEN made a rackmount kit for this switch. The POE works great, I’ve tested it with a bunch of Sangoma and Grandstream phones, some Cambium APs, Cisco APs, and Grandstream APs, all powered on and working without issue. It passes data at gig/full speeds. I’m getting about 980mbps with iperf, which is what I expect with my bench PC. Overall this is a nice POE switch at a good price.
