Great wall plate for Ecobee
This wall plate works great for the Ecobee smart thermostats. Our old thermostat was more rectangular than Ecobee, so there was a portion of unpainted wall when we tried to put up the new thermostat. This wall plate was perfect for covering the unpainted portion of the wall. It was very easy to install and works really well.

Seems cheap. I bought this if I need it for the future installation at a remote site. I’ll return it if it’s not absolutely required.

Does the Job
This wall plate works well if the one included with the thermostat isn’t quite big enough. It does not look quite as premium as the original, but it looks better than an unpainted section of wall peaking out the sides. If you had one of the old, huge, beige thermostats originally then you may still see just a tiny bit of ugly wall peaking out. For me there is maybe 1/16″ of an inch of unpainted wall on one side, but it is not noticeable.This is one of those products that you should only buy if you really need it. If the wall plate included with the thermostat is bit enough you would probably prefer to just use it.
