    Great value NAS drives
These have worked perfectly in my NAS set up a raid configuration. These are designed for that use.And I do believe they are going to hold up well.

    Great value
Got these for my UGreen Nas. So far so good. Great price.

  3. Ron H

    Good 4tb works for me.
Good decent spindle drive. Use this with a Sabrient dock for off loading data to archive. Granted data is split across multiple drives and have no issues to date.

works but has tampered S.M.A.R.T. values
I fear that some body has tinkered with the S.M.A.R.T. values. It’s showing as zero hours run, which I find hard to believe in a renewed HDD. Though it works as expected, it may not have the lifespan I expect out of it.

    Excelente
    Funcionando sin problemas

  6. R. Herring

    solid
In 10 years I had one drive fail in a 5 bay NAS. They are super solid and I continue to use them in my newest NAS.

  7. Kindle Customer

    Renewed, but still good
These are certified renewed, but the 2 I received showed very little usage in chrystaldisk. No errors, no warnings. Granted, I’m using these in a lab machine, that if they die, I’m not too worried, but so far they seem like a pretty good deal.

  8. TONY M C

    Good but some concern
Pros: Surface scan with Linux “badblocks” command showed no error.Cons: These are claimed to be “renewed”, but the S.M.A.R.T data shows Power_On_Hours is 0. This sounds to good to be true. Concern that the data might be hacked.

This is the 4th WD red in my NAS and, as usual, it does not disappoint. I love these hard drives, they are work horses and, in my opinion, the best NAS drive for the price.

The hard drive I bought on February 4 from WD Red is defective and no longer works. Normally Western Digital WD Red drives come with a 3-year warranty. Is it still guaranteed? The disc had a 1 year warranty for a refurbished one and was exchanged but you just have to be patient. Thanks a lot
