Easy connection to SmartThings, works great
Works really well, I had no problem connecting to SmartThings using the QR code on the back of the unit. Make sure to plug it in close to the ST hub first, after it’s set up you can move it. I was then able to use ST to sound an alert on my phone and also send a text to me and others in my household. I’m using it for a small utility pump to drain my pool remotely by a few inches when a hurricane is approaching or the level is too high, so the ST integration was important, and seamless. I’d initially tried an Enbrighten smart plug but couldn’t get it to connect to ST after numerous attempts, but this model is much easier to connect.

Performs as advertised
I have a Vera Plus controlled Z-Wave based smart home. I am building a large deck with bench seating in lieu of railings and I installed down-casting rope lighting in the benches. I tested all components and everything worked great. While doing the finishing work I zipped a screw through the rope lighting and short circuited everything. I blew a fuse in the rope light and tripped the GFCI breaker. What didn’t blow was this switch. I had to replace a section of the rope lighting, a fuse in the rope lighting, and reset the breaker. But this switch never complained and survived my stupidity unscathed. So, it’s a smart switch that’s smarter than me. LOL. But seriously, it paired with my system quickly and easily and now reliably performs its desired task regularly. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Reliability is an issue
I purchased this to control my exterior Christmas lights. At first I was impressed with how easily it connected to my smartthings controller. Timers and automation was easy to setup and being able to control both outlets individually was fantastic. There is only one button to physically control the outlets and it turns both on and off at the same time.The reason for the low star rating is simply reliability. One of the outlets stopped functioning only 5 days after setup. The outlet does not pass power at all anymore. I don’t know how long the second outlet will function before it dies.

Easy inclusion in SmartThings. Works great so far!
I bought multiple of these to have one outdoor temp sensor be able to activate (through SmartThings) multiple heat-tape locations on our roof in winter to prevent ice dams. I recently added exterior outlets around the house to accommodate this.Inclusion of these outdoor-rated switches (with an operating temp range down below freezing) was easy and straight forward in SmartThings (ST). I was able to easily change the parameters manually (using the lighted button on the front of the device, not through the ST app) to: 1. Have the light on the device be “on” when the device was “on”, and “off” when the switch was “off”. This will give me visual feedback that the heat tape is operating outside when it needs to be. 2. Secondly, I was able to set the parameter where the switch comes back on in the same state that it was at the time of a power failure. This was important to me because we have frequent power failures in winter, and when the power comes back on, I need the heat tape to come back on if it was in before the power outage.Bottom line, the device was ready to install, easy to program the parameters that I wanted, and seems to work reliably in my testing so far. Can’t wait for winter now.

Works with SmartThings – two individually controllable outlets.
***** October 2020 (10 month update) ******This product is still working great. I have not noticed it missing any commands or suffering any degradation. I have mine completely exposed to the elements, plugged into an outdoor outlet and mounted on a fence. It appears as new as the day it was installed. I continue to be more than satisfied given that this provides two outlets and ZWave at a great price.****** February 2020 *****My original review is below. The vendor (EvaLogik) did update the device handler for this product and it now works as expected. I am able to control the two outlets as separate items inside the SmartThings application. I appreciate that they provided quick and accurate responses to my questions and followed through with the promised update. I am using this to turn on a set of outdoor lights and an outdoor fountain on different schedules and when triggered from a motion detector. I wanted two outlets so I can turn the lights on after dark but turn the fountain on at all times of day. I am happy with the way this now working. I will update the review with additional info as the product ages.****** Original Review ******I’m a SmartThings user and prefer to add Z-Wave devices to my network instead of the more common WiFi only devices. The EVA-LOGIK two outlet, outdoor plug looked like a great alternative to the GE Z-Wave single outlet device (https://www.amazon.com/GE-Weather-Resistant-Required-Works-SmartThings-14284/dp/B06W9NWFM3) that I also own.Unfortunately I cannot get more than one outlet to show up in SmartThings when I install the device. I have added and removed the device multiple times without luck. SmartThings does list two EVA LOGIK device handlers (one for ‘Single Outlet’ and one for ‘Dual Outlet’) but installing either results in just a single outlet being controllable.I will say that packaging, build quality and installation were all great. I have no complaints about the product other than the fact that it doesn’t do the one thing that makes it special. I am able to control a single outlet and the response time is fast. The range seems to be about average for Z-Wave which works for me.I did contact the seller and they responded that they will be able to solve this problem in the next couple weeks. I will update my review if they come through with a fix. For now I cannot recommend this product.

Works Great With VIVINT
Works great with Vivint Hub.When adding it as a Z-Wave device, make sure to “exclude” the node first before “including.” In the hub, after calling Vivint to unlock the installer settings, click “remove node.” Then run outside and click the button on the smart plug 3 times quickly – your panel should make a noise. Go back to the panel and click “add node.” Go to the smart plug again and click the button 3 times. You will again hear a noise from the Vivint panel. The panel will show the plug (it takes a few moments for it to load). It will then appear under the lights/bulbs tab. Use Vivint “rules” on the phone app to create schedules, etc.
