Works great – Solid purchase
I used this device for 2 solar panels i added.They read power generation in Amps and keep track in Smart Life App in kWh for the day, week, year is max. Pairing was very easy, just power it up and scan in the App. If you want to delete the historical data then choose edit in the app inside the device itself. Select Remove Device, it will then ask if you want to disconnect or disconnect and wipe data. Simply unplug it the power it up again.Scan in the app for new device, add it. It does not come with a power cord, so I cut an old 2 prong extension cord to use. It is mounted in a breaker box outside on a brick wall on the other side of the house furthest point away from my wifi router and it picks up wifi no problem. Extremely happy with this. Just bought the next size up so I can read my total produced and my total used from the power company this will include my other 18 solar roof panels. I purchased this one to monitor the production of the 2 newly added panels only, in case one of the panels or a microinverter goes out too.

Accurate and excellent customer service
I would have given a five-star rating but I only gave it four stars because the app is a little bit lacking in information that would have liked to have seen. Mainly, it would be great if they could add the functionality to put in your billing dates or pick the date range you’d like to see usage for so that the report can be matched against the electric bill. As it is now, it’s done by day week and calendar month which doesn’t coincide with the electric bill. I don’t know if the other monitors out there allow you to set a custom range or not but this one doesn’t.The company’s customer service was excellent. I had ordered the 80 amp monitor but the coils were a little too small. I reached out to the company to ask if they had the larger current transformers. They did but said they didn’t advertise them on Amazon. I asked them if I could purchase the larger coils for this unit, and they sent me the replacement coils free of charge! It took a few weeks for them to get here, but I was happy to hear they were replacing them at no charge considering that there was nothing wrong with the coils I had, they just didn’t quite fit around the wire. The coils that came with the monitor had the right size opening when compared to the size of the wire, but the wire wasn’t a completely round shape and so they didn’t snap around it completely.As to the functionality, I compared the readings from the monitor against the electric company’s meter, and it is more accurate than I expected. The readings were only off by a few kilowatt hours which is negligible as it still provides an almost exact estimate of my energy usage.Overall, I’m happy with both the monitor and the customer service!

It is precise, and internet connectivity is very reliable
This is an excellent product, it helped to identify bad actors contributing to my high bills. I installed on the service side, measurement match results from both TXU, and SmartMeterTexas. If you get generation values, when you don’t have any, just revert the CT, or switch the wires at the transmitter

DO NOT BUY – NOT ACCURATE!!!
The only thing worse that no data is bad data… For 220V split phase circuits, it’ll provide readings, but they aren’t correct; they’re reading high, as much as 60% high. Returned the unit and used the Emporia Vue 3 – very happy with that device.

Great value. Requires continual Wifi for continual energy consumption monitoring.
This is a great value, but it requires an environment with continuous WiFi. I thought I could run it at a remote site with no Wifi and just check it occasionally with my cell as a Wifi hotspot, but it saves incremental energy usage in the cloud so without continuous Wifi it can create a energy use record. Not a problem for many or most use cases but not mine.

fails in several ways
I put this in to monitor energy consumption on a heater. The device will not stay connected to the WiFi and has to be rebooted every day or so. No data will be stored if its not connected. The software to view the data stores it in a way I cant make heads or tails of what its doing. This heater is either on or off, but the meter shows my power being used at different levels at different times. In this situation, that is impossible. I wish I had put it in soon enough that I could return it still. Maybe I got a bad one. I wont be buying a second one.

Seems like good product sucky app
Very easy to install. My purpose in using this was to monitor for heavy water usage/broken pipe as well as a failing pump.Since i have two-wire and NOT split phase (i.e. no neutral) in order to get total usage, i connected both CTs per diagram except I reversed the direction of one CT.The app is very bare bones only by paying extra can one get more useful data. But, just having KWH trended should be sufficient for me.
