Good over all
I am not a sever administrator, so I was skeptical about how setting this up would be. It was very easy to set up as a NAS. The lack of one star is because about four days after I got it up and running, it would not accept my password. I use BitWarden to keep all of my passwords, and I am VERY diligent at taking notes when doing a setup as tricky as this. After trying multiple things to get it to let me access it, I finally just did a factory reset. Unfortunately, I put too much confidence in this thing and did not make a backup of hundreds of movies that I moved onto the drive. ALL of the movies are gone for good. (My bad)In addition, I tried numerous times to use it as a web server, but no matter how many times I tried, it is still just a local NAS. The instructions were for a previous version of the software as well.All in all, it does what it should as a NAS.

Great entry level NAS
Great entry level NAS. This is my first home NAS system, and it has great documentation, and was easier to set up than I was expecting. While there is a bit of a learning curve in my case, since this was my first NAS, and still had it up and running in one day, with ongoing fine tuning and configuring over the next few days. Works great, and enjoy the user interface and App Store. Definitely enjoy having my own in home cloud storage. Also love the MyArchive feature. I ordered 2 more disk trays, so I can hot swap disks in Bay 4 with extra disks I had. Love this flexible feature that allows you to archive more data, than if you only had 4 static bays. I definitely would recommend this product to friends.

Works great, easy setup, comes with handy software
This NAS was easy to set up. I installed two Seagate 20TB drives. It recognized the drives with no problem, and announced itself on my LAN by plugging it in.It comes with a bunch of apps. If you have your own backup software, you can use it, but if you don’t it comes with simple software you can install on a PC. It also comes with all kind of apps that reside on the drive and are accessible via brosser, such as cloud sync that lets me back up this NAS to the cloud, like Amazon S3, Azure, Google, etc. You can sync it with dropbox, there is a photo gallery app, music sharing app (across the network, utilities, etc. You can configure different RAID setups, from RAID 0-5.There are a bunch of other apps too, but I haven’t explored them.Writing this review, I realized that once I had the device set up and working the way I want, I haven’t had to give it any attention in the past few months, so really happy with the purchase. It does exactly what I want. I back up all my home PCs to the device, also use the device as a mapped network storage resource, and I back up my backup to the cloud.

Replaced my 10 year old NAS. Highly worth it. I was worried plex wasn’t going to work well based off some reviews. Glad I ignored them. Plex works beautifully. I recommend this NAS.Pros:NAS was simple to setupPlex is simple to install and setupmuch quieter than my old NAS (Zyxel 326)Interface is clean and easy to navigateFast speeds.Cons:Gun to my head if I have to think of any….Plex app updates arn’t automatic. Updates have to be manually downloaded and applied. not hard but wish it was auto especially since app was in the app store)

Not as simple as I hoped
This is a great idea, stop paying subscriptions and take back your privacy. I got this system for me and my family after watching a bunch of videos on all brands and models including this one. The software that they offer at first seems simple but I ran into several issues including times I had to reset the device to recover. I also assumed that resetting the device would make the data unrecoverable but after at least one reset I was still able to access the data. Now that I have it set up it backs up everything. The size and appearance is nice. It’s quiet and the price was right for me.

Excellent NAS for the price
It was an easy setup once I turned off my VPN client. It was just me guessing at things until I hit on the solution. The only option is a mirrored drive, so my two 4 TB drives resulted in 4 TB of space. Plex installed without a problem and is running perfectly on the network. Was able to map directly to the shares, so adding files is for the Plex. My WD MyCloud had died, so I needed a fast and cheap replacement, so this was perfect.

He pasado de un Synology a este Asustor dado que Synology tiene bastantes incompatibilidades con algunos HDD como era mi caso.Al principio es un tanto diferente en concepto de ajustes pero luego es fácil de adaptarse, es más fácil de configurar el Synology pero tampoco es que sea un problema con el Asustor.Este NAS Supera al Synology en versatilidad y sobretodo velocidades de conexión que con sus 2,5Gb de velocidad y si el pc dispone de igual velocidad se alcanzan puntas de 280MB/S.En general muy bueno y mucho mejor de lo que me esperaba.

Ottima soluzione e facile da configurare come archivio di rete per uso domestico.Con W11 avevo problemi ad accedere ai miei file su dischi SSD USB di rete anche rimuovendo alcune protezioni come suggerito da esperti.Con questo NAS superati tutti i problemi.
