Finally, a Robot Mop That Cleans Itself and Does It Well
I’ve been using the DREAME X50 Ultra for about two weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed. Setup was super simple — the app mapped my house in one run, and I can now send it to clean specific rooms.Vacuuming performance is excellent. It easily picks up dog hair, crumbs, and dust from both hardwood and carpets. The mop is even better — it actually scrubs and leaves the floor spotless. The best part is the base station: it empties the dust bin, washes and dries the mop pads automatically, and even refills clean water. I barely have to touch anything. It’s smart too — avoids shoes, cables, and doesn’t bump into furniture. Noise is reasonable, and my dog is no longer scared of it. After two weeks, I only had to refill the water tank and replace one dust bag.Downsides? It’s a bit bulky and can’t get under very low furniture, and the dock takes up some space. But honestly, the convenience outweighs that.If you want a powerful, hands-off vacuum and mop combo that actually works, the DREAME X50 Ultra is worth every penny.

Excellent Cleaning Power with Smart Features!
Firstly, the vacuum came really well packaged! It feels really well built and only took about 20 minutes for unpacking, putting it together, and having to run a quick software update for this beautiful piece of technology to be ready to use. After a few days of use, I can say this has been a big upgrade over my previous robot vacuums. With a dog in the house, the daily fur and paw prints are a constant battle, but this unit tackles both vacuuming and mopping really well. It took about an hour to handle two rooms, the kitchen, living room, dining room, and hallways, leaving the floors spotless. The self-emptying dock and mop-cleaning feature are a game changer; I don’t have to think about it much beyond draining the dirty water after a mop cycle. I also love the AI features, obstacle detection, and custom mapping to target specific areas when they need extra cleaning.I also love the AI features, obstacle detection, and custom mapping to target specific areas when they need extra cleaning. The only thing I’d change is the vacuum bags (since you’ll need to replace them), but it hasn’t filled one yet and seems manageable. After about an hour and 20 minutes of cleaning, it used about 40% of battery with both mopping and vacuuming, more than enough for most people’s homes. Overall, very happy with this purchase.Update: 10/10/2025It’s been two weeks now and it’s working great. I generally let it run at night so no one’s walking around. I suggest emptying the dirty water tank after every use and letting it air dry before reinstalling. I’m impressed with how dirty the water is after running the vacuum / mop cycle. Or better yet, how well it does cleaning the floors. No issues so far and it has a cool feature where if it recognizes someone is in the room, it’ll go back at the end of the cleaning cycle.

    Amazing houselhold helper
I was tired of cleaning and saw some Instagram videos with the Dreame vacuum robot that were very promising. I can confirm that the robot is a little genius and does an amazing job. At the very beginning it drove around and created a map of my apartment with the laser and camera technology it has. The map is pretty accurate and I can even pick designated areas or rooms to clean and lock off others. The Dreame app it comes with works perfectly and you can choose between different cleaning modes (mopping only, vacuuming only or both). It’s also amazing that you can choose the suction power for the vacuuming and decide so on the current noise level you want to have. The mopping mode you can’t even hear and you can pick the moist level so it’s ideal even for wooden floors. The battery life is sufficient for my 2 bedroom apartment and it goes back to the charging station automatically before running out of battery. The sensor is working great, it even makes sure it cleans around furniture legs in circles to make sure to not miss a spot. I can highly recommend the vacuum cleaner, it takes a lot of work from me.

    Good machine
Packaging:The product arrived undamaged and well packaged.Ease of Use:Connecting to the internet was difficult. I tried everything the app and customer service suggested. We have a TP link Deco Mesh system set to 2.4GHZ only. Never had any issues connecting any other smart devices but this one would get “stuck” at the third stage of the robot connecting to network. After 3-4 hours of messing with it, eventually I placed the router 1 foot away from the robot and it connected. I’m not sure why this would matter since we have full bars of wifi reception throughout the house with our 5 Decos. The app itself otherwise seems well designed, although there are some typos here and there. There are a plethora of function adjustments available with decent explanations of each.Cleaning:I’ve ran 3 cycles thus far of vacuuming and mopping. We have a large dog at home so lots of hair. So far it seems to outperform a roomba J8+ combo that we are replacing it with on carpet vacuuming. The mopping is very good so far as well with better results than the roomba. It does all this relatively quietly too compared to the roomba. It is using approximately half the container of clean water per mop cycle for our 800 square foot home.Battery:Battery life is actually not too bad. Some have complained that it drains too quickly. I find that on vacuum mode it does go down quick, but it can usually complete the mopping with a lot less power afterwards. For our 800 square foot level, it will need to charge once to complete a complete clean cycle with vacuuming 2 large area rugs, tiles/hardwood and mopping our floors.Build Quality:The robot and the base station do seem very well built. Nothing squeaks and everything seems very solid. I do with the mechanism to open and close the dust bin compartment and detergent compartment had a hinge so you do not have to remove the entire cover.Cons:The only potential downside I see is that the maintenance supplies (filter, brushes and detergent) seems to be priced quite high relative to what we paid with roomba. Perhaps this is due to the lack of non OEM parts since this is a new model. We will see how the components hold up and I will update this review.Overall taking off 1 star for initial connectivity issues and prices for accessories.Update to this review, we have now had it for 2 months. It does a good job mopping and vacuuming. Seems to use a small amount of detergent per mop session as the full fill that I did is about 1/3 depleted. The battery life has not gotten any better. Still taking about 4 hours to do a full vac and clean of our home. I also notice if you want to use the side reach function for either the mop or side brush, this needs to be set to frequent. The brushes and mop pads are holding up well. I’ve been replacing the pads every 3 weeks with a backup pair for a deep clean.
