I bought this to replace the doorbell at my elderly mom’s house. It has an app that allows me to see who is at her door and gives me peace of mind on her safety. The only drawback is it does need to be taken off every 3 months or so to charge the device. Super easy to install, stays connected consistently, pictures quality is pretty good. Had to email the app’s customer service team for something that didn’t work (which I don’t remember what it was) and they were super responsive and sent instructions that took care of the issue. Clear color picture and good cost effective option to some of the more expensive competitors. Overall, I’m pleased with this purchase.

Great Doorbell Cam.
The IeGeek Bell J9 plus doorbell cam is a great and affordable working doorbell, Camera option. A lot of pros with this one. The app works very seamless. Connectivity was easy with the Wi-Fi network I have and and the battery life is pretty good and the pictures are actually really good for a 5 megapixel door cam and the videos are even pretty smooth. There were only three cons that I would say I wish the camera would do different one is. I wish there was a zoom out or zoom in function. The camera tends to point very high so when you’re trying to mount it, you might not get a full picture of the lower half. If you look at the picture I posted you can’t really see the steps because there’s no function to adjust the camera remotely or other otherwise ,also the battery while strong has to be recharged so to remove it you have to use a small pin or paper clip & a push hole on the bottom to get the camera out. I understand this is a security thing, but if it’s mounted to the front of your house, it’s not the easiest thing to do, especially if you live in a cold area and your hands are freezing and shaking. Overall, the app and the camera itself for the price point are definitely worth a look and I would highly recommend it. I really hope in the future yourable to adjust the lens. In an update or in the next model.

This ieGeek wireless doorbell works great. The 1080P video is clear, night vision performs well, and the motion alerts are fast and reliable. The two-way audio and the voice changer are very useful features, and installation was quick and simple. Just keep in mind it only works on 2.4 GHz WiFi. Overall, a solid and dependable doorbell camera.

This piece of technology is fantastic. I have a clear image of the front of my property and it has a really good motion detector that will alert my phone any time there is movement. It does have a setting in the app to adjust the motion detector so that leaves won’t trigger it lol. This was a very straight forward set up, clear instructions on how to and it even paired with my Alexa echo 5. Great product so far. I’ll let you all know how it does in Oklahoma weather later on.

I can’t call any of the following things dislikes, only, things to know. If you want to record more than 10 seconds to the cloud, then either pay the extremely reasonable fee for upgraded digital storage (which is what I did) or be sure to have a compatible SD card ( which I have also added as a back up and to check functionality). When I received the device, it did require an initial charging period, which was not surprising.Pros: (so far there are quite a few)Let me start by saying that my experience with these doorbell cameras extends to Arlo and Ring units that I have had or that my significant other has. The app is easy to use and very similar to Ring so an easy adjustment. The connection to the camera is pretty quick if I just want to check on things and the alert for motion detection comes within a couple of seconds of someone walking through the trigger area that I was able to set up. You can set it’s sensitivity to motion, types of shapes such as animals or people, and the area that will cause the camera to engage. So, the free web backup and SD card are a great option if you don’t want to have another monthly or annual subscription. It is pretty simple to unmount the camera and pull the SD card for review but it can’t be at instant access and, with the service there is no chance for the memory card to fail. My girlfriend pays over 40% more for the same service and, so far, I cannot see much difference in picture quality, replay access, or function. It is a bit big but, for me, that tells someone that there is a camera watching and so I don’t mind the bigger size. Durability… I dropped it in hardwood and nothing came apart and it still functions so, accidental drop test, lol. This unit is solid and, since it can be mounted with either screws or double sided tape, I was able to mount his on the doorframe to my apartment with no problems from management. The intercom functions well although, I had to figure out the access after someone rang the doorbell but that is just learning different software and not a problem. As my breezeway is well lit, I can’t speak on thight vision but I am at the end of the corridor and I can clearly see the 40 feet to the end. You can change your voice which is pretty cool if you want to pretend to be a man to fool a stranger or to be a clown to mess with the neighbor kids. Wireless indoor bell is easy to get up and works as it should.Great product, more affordable than Ring from the product to the video service cost, equal quality in my opinion as far as function, and less expensive bit of peace of mind… Thanks!

Had a previous model – so was more than happy when needed to go with the update.Item comes well packed and very professionally put together.Having had the last model, the IEGeek app worked quickly and connected via the scan method and QR code.This one comes with a battery powered door bell, which might be an improvement from the usb version as I was always struggling to find a usb.Video quality is high, triggering automatic settings to account for bandwidth. Once adding the Iegeek app to alexa I was able to view the video via my echo show in the kitchen, which is a great addition.Settings are easy to manage and am not disappointed with the flexibility to adjust settings. I’ve added a micro sd card to store the data, but you can have a subscription, seems to be the go to thing now.Setting up and securing it in position was easy, used previous holes, and like that it can be charged on site via the opening.Very happy with this updated model, and would recommend this within the price range.

Had this J9 doorbell for a couple of weeks and impressed with it so far.The doorbell hardware looks substantial and is super easy to install, the supplied chime unit perhaps less substantial in design – it can however be set to a surprisingly loud level.Activations/doorbell pushes are quickly detected and notifications appear on the ieGeek app in a timely fashion – video playback quality is very good.One gripe may be the battery life – it doesn’t appear to be as fulfilling as the manufacturer may indicate.I intend to let the battery almost fully discharge and then monitor after re-charge to see if there is an improvement.Other than that I’m happy with the quality, performance and affordability of this J9 doorbell and would recommend it wholeheartedly.
