Why is my doorbell not working properly after binding?
Ensure you have the latest app (version 5.0.22 or above) and check if the doorbell has received the latest software update.
Will Video Doorbell C31 support pre-record and 24/7 recording? Will my existing chime still work?
Yes, C31 supports pre-record and 24/7 recording functions when powered by a 16-24V transformer (bypass chime). 24/7 recording is unavailable with HB2/Minibase, so use Solo or connect it to HB3 to enable this feature.
Why does my doorbell still show low battery or a decrease in battery level even after being wired?
Using Existing Chime charges the doorbell slowly (6-7 days). High foot or vehicle traffic may still drain the battery. We recommend switching to “Bypass Existing Chime” mode.

I have bought several of these now and they work great on my shops, house, and storage buildings. they notify my phone, and i have a method set up to pull the videos and save them so if someone steals the cameras i still have recordings of them being on site.

Pretty good doorbell for my needs
Works great with my existing doorbell hard wiring and chime. Easy install with great video and pictures. I wish the notifications would appear quicker that someone rang the doorbell or triggered a photo. Video playback can be very slow from the saved video on the SD card. App needs a little work, but overall and good no fee doorbell.

Good Doorbell Camera (with some caveats)
Overall this seems like a good doorbell camera and system to invest in if you don’t want another monthly subscription to deal with.Instructions are somewhat vague and not entirely correct. The storage device is not an SD card but a micro SD card. This important information is lacking in a few areas. Initial setup failed 3 times. After moving the unit next to a router things went well. Installation was fairly straightforward, I wired directly to the existing doorbell wiring.The app is easy to navigate and tailor to your preference. Adding another user is somewhat clunky – you can send an invite but they apparently need to setup their own “home” and then add the shared device.Picture quality is decent, even in low light situations. Field of view is also decent at 4’ above doorway, though I might add a small wedge to angle the unit down. I’ve not yet had any false positive alerts, which is nice.

I love my Eufy doorbell. You don’t have to purchase a subscription to store your videos, which has been deal breaker when looking at other doorbell options. This my 2nd Eufy doorbell and l’m impressed with this newer model. I highly recommend Eufy for it’s easy installation and high quality products.

DO NOT PURCHASE: Worst security system with various flaws
Think about this: There are a lot of one star reviews for a reason. . .UPDATE (10/04/2022):Customer service response to the current issues:”Unfortunately, if your order has expired its 12-month warranty, and if the device is defective, we are sorry that we are not able to arrange a replacement for you according to our warranty policy. However, we register all defects and evaluate them statistically. These statistics enable us to identify any increased defect rates or concentrated product problems, so thank you very much for letting us know about your product.”Be warned, small issues from the start with the entire eufy system only to have it breakdown after 2 years. And nothing can be done about it with customer service.DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM!UPDATE (09/29/2022):This eufy system has gone from bad to worse. Battery low, so cam 2c charged. Last charge hardly lasted long at all. Now camera, after fully charged, unable to play live video.Deleted device. Added device. Restarted homebase. Still no work! Restarted wifi. Deleted device. Added device. Restarted homebase. Still no work! Deleted device. Now UNABLE TO ADD DEVICE! After multiple tries Still unable to add device. Restarted everything. Thought that it could possibly be the 2C cameras that were defective and, in one email, offered to send replacements. Then, in another reply, offered to send a Pan/Tilt indoor camera as a replacement. It was a nice offer, but the issues are with the outdoor 2C cameras and not with the indoor cameras at all. In one reply, customer support offered a $25 refund for the unsolved issues. $25?! That was insulting.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM!I cannot stress that enough. Poor system. Multiple false alarm issues. Dysfunctional Zone feature. Inconsistent notifications (sometimes it will capture a person, sometimes it won’t). Faulty AI. Horrible customer support.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM!‐————————————–THE GOOD:Camera has decent image quality. Set up fairly simple.Battery powered 2C camera will last a few months as long as AI does not filter out too many events.Will record and store events locally (no subscription fees).THE BAD:AI will detect numerous false detections (ex: shadows detected as human faces). No matter how you adjust the sensitivity or activity zones the system will give frequent false alarms of shadows presenting as a human. Very distracting. Also, how would you pay attention to a REAL alert when you are constantly bombarded with false alarms. The eufy system cries wolf a lot. So much, that you become reluctant to have the siren on at all.Activities Zones that are set up are useless. Basically, you get a set of colored rectangles on your app while eufy still detects outside of those zones (which also drains the battery). And the zones that are set up are inconsistent when detecting movement (same problem as other reviews). Sometimes you will get a notification and sometimes you won’t. Adjusting the sensitivity level higher does not help with the inconsistent notifications. It does, however, help with catching more activity outside the established zone.Indoor cams require a micro SD card to record events. Otherwise it is just a camera. Would be better if the indoor cam could link up with the Homebase2 and store recordings there. Would also be better if the Homebase2 had a micro SD storage slot instead.Geofencing does not work at all for multiple users. Even with one person in the zone while one is out of the zone eufy will change the security system to “Away”. Geofencing will also place a family member “out of the zone” even if that person hasn’t left the zone all day. Geofencing is also inconsistent across different units. One indoor camera will report a different status than the home system (Homebase2). Have reported issue to eufy support. They have responded fairly quickly, however the system updates that were provided did not solve the problem. After reading the eufy forums, the Geofencing issue has been a problem for a long time and it has not been resolved.After weighing the GOOD vs the BAD, the eufy system does not perform well as a home security system and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SYSTEM. It will not provide adequate security protection.

For some reason one camera disconnected with network router and while attempting to reconnected it would not HOWEVER reconnecting issue occurred only to find it was me and the router PW issue. YES both cameras are up and working and I’m attempting to cancel refund request. Oh, batteries are working longer than I thought and camera will accept Solar chargers I had in my catch-all room and keep batteries up and running. Lastly, I truly love the free storage unlike purchasing from others. Amazon please disregard return request. I would love to afford another two-pack but finances won’t permit. I’m finished.

Eufy doorbell camera is an excellent purchase
I used to have a ring doorbell, but it stop recording and notifying me of movement or anyone ringing my doorbell. It wouldn’t ring. I replaced it with this product. The size is perfect. The camera quality is excellent. I hardwired it so I don’t have to worry about a battery and I love the fact that it notifies me immediately if someone is on my porch. It was super easy to install as well as set up on my Wi-Fi. I love the fact that I’m able to go back and see notifications that I have missed without paying for a subscription.

The doorbell camera failed following heavy rain, becoming completely unusable due to severe condensation that blurred the lens. After returning the faulty device, the customer service was appalling14 days later, I have received no refund, no replacement, and am still without a working doorbell camera, on top of that the app consistently crashing/freezing!!! The customer experience was unacceptable. Avoid this product and company at all costs!!!!!

Camera is a great add on to my eufy system. I wired into my existing doorbell wires as I wanted constant charging and to use my original chime. Installed quickly, I had plenty of wire from the original doorbell so didn’t use the Included extensions as is said not required. Camera paired to my homebase 2 quickly and added to the app no problem. When I turned the power back on, there was a constant buzzing from the original chime which also didn’t ring with the new doorbell cam, and Camera wasn’t charging. I confirmed my transformer was within the required range. I popped the Camera off and noticed the metal contact under the wire screws was very small so I’d try the wire extensions as they have a spade type attachment on the end. Hooked them up and both issues gone. Camera now constantly powered, chime isn’t buzzing and also works when doorbell is pressed. My only wish is if they had a larger wedge than 15°, there are 30-45° 3rd party wedges which I may get. I’ve had eufy products for 5 months now and I am very impressed with them, the no monthly/annual fees makes it event better!
