【One-click switching interface】Choosing from 5 button to quick access different parameters. Press M to display KWH and electricity cost. Press + to display Watt (active power) and VA (apparent Power). Press OK to display true RMS voltage Vrms and true RMS current Arms. Press – to display Hz ( frequency) and PF (power factor). Press ↺ to display the maximum and minimum power. Press OK for 3s to display the complete accumulated time.
【Monitor home appliances】Insert the watt meter between the appliance and the power outlet. This energy meter will measure the power consumption of the appliance and automatically calculate the electricity bill, only being calculated if the appliance is running at a power greater than 2 watts. Suitable for computers, games consoles, printers, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, routers, etc.
【Multiple protection】When the load power exceed the overload setting value, power consumption exceed KWH alarm setting value, electricity cost exceed cost alarm setting value, LCD displays “Overload”, “KWh ALARM” or “COST ALARM” and LED light flashes continuously to warn user. The default overload power is 3680W ( 0~3680W adjustable ). In general, you need to set the overload power to 1800W before using. Ideal for monitoring the energy consumption of household appliances.
【Data storage】The power consumption monitor plug has a built-in high-precision chip that stores data in the event of a power failure. It has a reset function and a function to delete measurement data but retain setting parameters for switching between multiple appliances. It can effectively monitor the electricity consumption, reduce electricity bills and save energy.
【Upgraded LCD display】Wide viewing angles is great for reading and recording the data in any angles. No need to stand on the front of the display and bend over to read the numbers, especially if the energy meter is not at eye level, or is only viewable from an angle.

More than meets the eye, great deal, great product.
I used this while running electric appliances while my kitchen was being rewired. Since they were all running on the same circuit, I had to be sure not to overload the circuit and this made monitoring the total amps being draw a cinch. And this seemed to fit the bill, it was cheap and looked good in the ad.It worked very well and was very convenient and as accurate as I could easily test it to be with my other meters. It would let me know if I was about to overload the circuit running the hotplate and the toaster oven at the same time, which saved me a bunch of walks out to the fuse box in the night. But, and this is a big one, it taught me a lot about the changing power usages of appliances as well as the rather poor power factor of some of my devices. I wound up learning a lot about the power usage of my kitchen gadgets. It gives some pretty technical information you might not understand if you don’t have an electronics degree, but there’s still lots of info there to let you know your power usage and costs of running an appliance.Highly recommended.

I use this to help putting up Christmas decorations, not to overload a circuit.
Bought this to help me calculate actual wattage for running Christmas decorations and not to overload circuit power. It measures incoming 110-120 ac power.Actual amperage being used by device plugged into it and other electrical information that you may need.I find that the wattage being specified by the manufacture is not always correct as stated on the box/item you are buying.

Just as described
Easy to understand and use. It showed me my 30 year old refrigerator was just as efficient as a new one.

Very useful cool device, would highly recommend.
I am trying to understand how much emergency power I need for my father’s C-PAP machine so I purchased this unit and tested it last night on my window air conditioner. It was fun to see the statistics on the unit and mainly the max watts, kilowatt hours, and the cost is cool. Very interesting to know my window AC only costs 33 cents a day to run. I usually run it about 10 hours. I plan to take this to my dads and plug his C-PAP into it and then monitor it for a few days so we can order a battery backup that will last a couple days for this year’s hurricane season.

Seems to work just fine, wish the display was backlit.
I bought this to monitor the energy use/duty cycle of a small space heater I use for supplemental heat. It seems to work fine and the wattage draw appears consistent with what I’d expect to see.I like that, with a little bit of fiddling, you can put in your current, local kwh cost and have it do the math for you automatically so you can see total cost over time. You don’t really need that, but it is convenient. What don’t I like? That the display isn’t backlit. There is a small blue light that turns on when power is running through it, but you will need to supply enough light to read it, which turns out to be somewhat inconvenient given that most outlets are not exactly at eye level. If I were improving this product I’d make the display bigger, add a backlight that could be turned off, and angle the display slightly so when it is plugged into a normal outlet it is easier to see when looked down on from above. But overall, it seems fine, and I’m not unhappy I bought it over the much more expensive name brand one we’ve all heard of.

Good bang for the buck.
Nice, solid, quality product.Checks to see how much power a product uses, if it drains power while off, etc. Cool tool.

Easy to Use, Additional Feature of Max/Min Power
I bought two of these to see what our refrigerator and freezer needed for power so I could provide backup power from a solar array. While I intended to get a Kil-a-Watt, those do not have the ability to track the in-rush current. This is important because a compressor will need lots of power at startup. The Ketotek was able to display the Max power needed when the compressor started running so I could account for the needed load. It also showed the Min power, the standby power, where basically just a fan was running. So I found this quite useful in knowing what the equipment demanded for short and long term use. While some reviews complained about the difficulty of use and poor instructions, everything seemed straight forward to me. And no App is needed for this device to be useful and provide the data. Resetting it was easy, too.

saved me from having to get my Onan 5500 RV generator professionally adjusted.
love this unit. was having issues with my RV generator cutting off because it was revving too high and the frequency limit was reached. this unit allowed me to measure the frequency and set the unit to 60 hertz and now the system is running great. I can check voltage when running both AC units to make sure the generator is keeping up with demand, and if something is plugged into the unit, you can monitor amp draw and usage. very handy tool for RVers

Edit: the company sent me a replacement unit and everything works beautifully. I have adjusted my rating to reflect the company’s efforts to rectify the issue and I appreciate their customer service. My initial issue is still below but it has indeed been corrected and is no longer an issue. The + button does not work which is the button that shows the watts draw, the main reason I purchased the unit. This also prevents me from setting the costs and any of the limit alarms.
