I really like Neewer products in general. They are usually well made, durable and practical.This iphone/camera frame is much the same – the design and construction are well thought out. It is very easy to install and remove, and does not have as much chance to vibrate or throw off the camera aim as the other types of fence mounts that use an articulated boom. The sun shade is a good touch to reduce the chance of cameras in direct sun over heating. Both the camera mount and sunshade have some adjustability to work as the sun angle moves during the day.I use this to film pickleball matches. I most often play at the court in the photo, which has sound blanket on three sides of the court. This requires mounting cameras on the fourth side which is the only one with clear fencing. If you mount on the court side, you have enough side to side adjustments of the phone mount if you offset the phone in the clamp. (second photo). You won’t have access to the phone while the game is going on. If you mount on the away side, you can adjust the phone to shoot through the center of a ‘hole’. If you need an oblique shot, you will see the fence, and in my case the camera focused on the fence, not the court. There are some apps where you can manually focus. I have several rigs for mounting phones to film games. None is perfect. Mount is durable and adjustments are smooth. Doesn’t move if installed correctly and tightly.
We have actually ordered this mount in the past. Unfortunately, as many sports parents would know, through some of the chaos of moving in and out of an area, my husband accidentally left it on the bleachers. We didn’t realize it was missing until we were already home – in another state! So of course, I had to hop back onto Amazon and order another. Since our last order, this model has an added “roof” to the mount that sits above helping to shade the camera or phone – depending on what you use, which is great!We really do love this mount style. For baseball families, those foul balls can really shake up the fence! This mount if done correctly, you can make it pretty much un-moveable. It really does stay in place, supporting your phone or camera. We have never had to go and re-adjust the camera at all. The mount keeps everything in place. We have a camera that sits in a ‘box’ to protect it from the sun and in case it ever falls off and the camera itself will be protected if it hits the ground, but fortunately it’s never fallen off this mount. And the added little ‘roof’ just gives our set up extra shading protection. The mount is much easier to put up than it looks. Once you have put it up 1-2xs, you’ll quickly learn how to put it up TIGHTLY. It’s very durable too. The metal framing doesn’t bend. The sliding adjustments are smooth and easy to move and tightens easily/well.I highly recommend this product!

Nice, basic fence mount for your phone or compact camera.
This mount does the job but does lack the frills of some other more expensive options. The metal frame is assembled by adding the the shade using the supplied thumb screw, and attaching the camera using the included phone holder or swivel mount, or you can directly mount other camera’s using the 1/4 20 screw. You attach the mount to the fence using 4 bungee cords with hooks. this works well enough if a bit imprecise. Adjustments are made by loosening the thumb screws and sliding things around within the metal frame. This is where some of the fancier mounts would have it beat. once you loosen the screws its just loose so fine adjustments are difficult. There is no built in battery tray, but you could easily place on on top of the sun shade or clip it on the fence. Overall it felt sturdy and will provide the shots you need once you are able to get everything lined up just right.

I ordered this fence mount for phones/ active cameras as an alternative to using a tripod which can easily be knocked over. This mount works perfect for the ball diamond. We use it to hold a phone and stream the game. Easier to set up then others I have tried.

We have been using this to stream our baseball games on GameChanger, using a mobile phone. The ability to move around the various ‘arms’ helps with ensuring you get a good view of the game, no matter where you put this on the fence.If there is a bit of a bow in the fence it can be challenging to get the fence mount flush but the bungee-like cords at the bottom give you the flexibility to get it as close as possible.Something to keep in mind if you are streaming on hot days or when the sun is shining bright, there is no cover on this mount so you will need to either make one or cover up your phone with a towel or something (helps to stop any glare and your phone from over-heating).
