Reviews R Helpful –
so far so good
I have been looking for a new toaster oven with air fry for a small apartment kitchen for what seems like years. I’ve just been using an old toaster oven handed down through the family quite conveniently for years on end. The reviews of all the toaster ovens have seemed a bit precarious.I definitely do like the versatility regarding the manner in which the cooking can be set up. I love all the presets and how the temp, time, fan speed, and actually who knows what all can be adjusted.I ordered stainless steel, but the color on the top and sides came gray. So that was a bit disappointing, but I adjusted to the reality and overall the product does looking nice with mostly the front stainless steel showing anyway.I have done toast and bagels. I contacted chatgpt just to see what they said about baking a mackerel patty. Seemed pretty on target and worked out fine. I baked a lasagna in a casserole dish, making adjustments towards the end as I was on the phone with my daughter who was on the way home from work, so as to time it out for the best possible doneness when she arrived home. So that was fun. I enjoy using this toaster oven.I have been concerned about baking something that may cause an issue. I had tried another brand of oven with stuffed salmon and somehow something landed on the heating element and caused continuous smoking. I wasn’t in the mood to have to clean up an oven every time I use it. So anyway, I really didn’t think that meal should cause such an issue, and so now I am leary.I never really worried about what I put in my old toaster oven. Used it more in the summer when the AC was on. Never had an issue. Perhaps it was a simpler machine. So anyway now with all the reviews, some of them mentioning fire and what not, I am a bit more mindful. I really wanted a bigger oven and had my heart set on it, but finally, I realized I need to have a smaller one in the present kitchen for safety.I really wanted to explore cooking a lot of different kinds of things in the new toaster oven in new kinds of ways, even rotisserie. So now, I am just trying to adjust going easy with the reality of what is. My small kitchen and this particular oven, and hoping not to have the need to return it. So to just go easy, and more or less, cook with it like I did my old toaster oven, just a convenience when I don’t want to turn on the big oven. Naturally, I will try out the newer feature, like I actually did do that mackerel patty on air fry.As I mentioned so far, so good. I do appreciate the time and effort and care that went into the engineering of this product. Small dent sort of thing in front left. Again, not exactly perfect, but like wow, not enough to make a return, and overall the product IS a real pleasure.

Cooks quick, Very low noise, Attractive, First Time Use & Review
5 stars:Just airfried 3 pieces of salmon & took about 15 min cook time at 330-350 F. Delish.Great value & actually easy to navigate the buttons now that I have been using it more.Once you hit Menu, you can turn knob to toggle between cooking functions. It’s faster that way.Love the large rack & baking tray provided. I use it to marinade meats sometimes since it’s easy to clean.Gentle cleaning to avoid scratching paint coating.Recommendation for cleaning tray:I purchase this stainless steel chain-link scrubber that helps me scrub stuck on foods without scraping & damaging coated trays. It is mostly used to clean ceramic cast iron pots or glass.————————4 stars after 1st use to roast peanuts(Smokes a bit for under 10 min cook time, button function not too intuitive, learning curve but possible with practice)-My previous air fryer:My Instant Vortex was a workhorse, cooked fast, reliable, but loud fan & touch buttons faded very quickly with minimal use so labeling buttons helped me manage to continue using it for about 4 years until it broke down exactly on Thanksgiving 2024.-Next air fryer I tried but returning:Ordered Gourmia 9 slice very large attractive stainless steel air fryer oven w/ french doors (ideal for me)…but I returned after reading a list of negative reviews about it being a fire hazard & smoking & losing heat out of door gaps.-NuWave:I researched online for my hoping to be final air fryer.Knew this brand when I browsed for electric stovetops. Never used this brand until now.Reviews on Nuwave airfryer was mixed, mostly positive for this particular model.Purchased teal shade. Retro look.Has width & depth, height.Fits some whole fish and steak or parts of ribs—need to butterfly small chicken to fit.First use so far—roasted peanuts using Roast function. Quick cooking time, needed monitoring since idk how hot this gets. Took maybe 5 minutes or bit more to fully roast.Inner deep part of tray cooked faster vs toward door handle—so, I removed tray and turned it around to get other side evenly cooked.Probably difficult w/ heavier & bulkier food items.I think my original Vortex was same in heat distribution where inner wall cooked faster.I touched exterior sides during cooking to confirm that this oven does get hot at top & glass window, sides bit less hot. Just be cautious is all.I do worry about cooking much longer than 10min with this because 5 min or so roasting peanuts, room was foggy w/ some smoke. I do worry about glass door cracking because of this heat.I will continue to use with more food types to test how safe & reliable it is for long term use.I want to believe that this is actually made free of harmful forever chemicals like PFAS—but somebody has to test it to be certain.I do want to like it and keep it, but very difficult to find trusting electrical equipment now a days.I recommend it because of the black friday return policy, allowing you more time to test things out before committing to it if returns process is not tedious work for buyer.Great size for small countertop similar size to traditional countertop toaster oven before air fryers were invented.

Almost perfect
The presets are basically useless….. Otherwise fabulous! It toasts about as fast as a toaster. Very accurate temperature settings. Buttons and dial have a strong quality click. Display is crystal clear. Controls are easy to use and intuitive. Nice even baking and toasting performance. Good quality accessories. Preset function works great. Fairly quiet. Good inside height for a compact oven. And it’s great being able to set balance of top and bottom elements.BUT the presets are a sham. All they do is set the time and temperature which will probably be wrong for what you are cooking anyway. All of them set the top and bottom to even heating, and the fan to top speed. Broil does set the top to 100% but that’s it! Bagel for instance should emphasize the top heating element and at least reduce the fan. Same for toast and waffle settings. Pizza should give more heating in bottom. So you really don’t have any real useful differences between the settings. Unfortunately there’s no memory.Otherwise the performance is solid and the form factor great for me…. So I’ll just deal with adjusting my setting each time. I’d actually buy another if they’d implement memory for the settings!!! Are you listening Nuwave?
