Fast Downloads and Plenty of Storage for Modern Games!
I’ve been using this Seagate BarraCuda for over 3 years, and it’s still the drive with the highest storage capacity in my computer. I’ve installed heavy games like Call of Duty, FC 25, MK, and many others, and they all run very well. I haven’t had any technical issues with it, and it has definitely served its purpose.For an internal drive (and not an SSD), downloads are surprisingly quick, and performance has been solid. Installation is also very easy. If you’re willing to spend about $20 more, the 4TB version is an even better deal, but if 2TB is all you need, the price for this model is totally reasonable.I have no complaints about this drive, highly recommended!

Great Drive For My Directv DVR
Excellent external Drive for my Directv DVR. Added to a Esata enclosure for my Directv DVR’s.It boots up faster than the one that comes with the Directv DVR’s.If you want to add an external HDD for Directv I would suggest the barracuda!!! Their great fast drives for a great price and they last!!!!The price is awesome so I can buy two and clone the Directv HDD’s to have a backup every few months. They clone fast because their 7200rpms. I would suggest having a backup if using it on a Directv DVR because of eventually it will go bad because of the many read and writes for Directv video programming. You want to have a backup of shows because after years of storing and watching movies you won’t have to start from scratch to download your favorite movies and shows you keep. That’s just me. I like keeping all my favorite movies on the DVR so I can always watch them. I also take my DvR when I go on the road in my RV.That is my opinion.

May not be as fast as expected but has capacity!
I ordered 2 of these 8TB drives. In Crystal Disk Mark one drive only has half the speed of the other and Steam didn’t seem to like the drive because it acted very slow with it. Steam works perfectly on the other drive. Now I only left one star off because I can still use the other drive for media storage as I don’t seem to notice the issue when in use in this manner. The problem drive is slower but not a big problem when it comes to photo, video and music storage! I think it somehow got passed QC as probably a mistake. Running a smart test does not show an issue and other test show that it is a good drive but just a little slower. Now the good one is awesome. I use a 1TB NVME PCIE gen 5 drive as cache for it and the damn thing just works. I didn’t buy it for speed but I did buy it for capacity and it has all I need. This is why I have a dedicated cache drive for it. Now it’s like I have an 8TB drive running at PCIE gen 4 speeds. Awesome if you ask me!

Works great for low write/high read use cases.If you’re looking for a primary drive, please get an SSD, but this is an excellent drive for backups and large media storage.
