A very helpful addition to the kit
I am happy I bought this for my action camera kit. What an excellent device. I can’t say enough good things about about the fixture’s build quality. The clamp is strong, the flexibility and firmness of the articulating cameras support is solid. Especially with Action cameras. It also folds compactly, and doen’t take up much space at all. It’s with me everywhere I go with a camera – no matter how my kit is set for any particular day. It has been a tremendous help.

Fantastically Helpful Filmmaking Tool BUT:
These clamps are probably one of the best filmmaking tools I’ve ever bought. Inexpensive and functions perfectly.They’re incredibly versatile and easy to use and position, HOWEVER, after shooting in almost every condition with the ones that have a 1/4″ screw on one end, I highly encourage you to reconsider getting the ones with dual clamps.I’ve found myself more often than not wishing I had those on sets instead, and would advise that unless you know exactly what you want to rig with these, get the dual clamp ones.

I owned a couple of these for lights. I bought this one to hold a webcam above my monitor. It works great and even looks nice. I love the adjustability.

Strong clamp that works great with one slight caveat
This clamp is very strong and the arm is solid. It’s easy to use and has worked well for most items I have clamped. The only issue I have found is sometimes the screws seem to come loose a little too easy but usually I am able to tighten down again and it will hold for my needs. Not sure if there is much they can do about that but it would be nice if it stayed screwed in a little more. Overall I like it!

Some solid improvements over previous version, one large downgrade that might be a complete turnoff
EDIT: They rectified the experience for me, great company!Original 3/5 star review:I love all of the improvements that were made over the previous version. Overall more ergonomically sound, easier to tighten the knobs and the new clamp is an incredibly good upgrade. The one major downgrade is the stability of the arm at the ball joints. The previous version of the magic arm held up my equipment and really, really did not allow it to move when locked. The new one moves with even slight movement with the same setup. Stops it from being able to be used on anything that is moved while filming. Not sure if I just have a bad one or if this is just how they work now.

Using this as a split keyboard desk tripod mount and I was very surprised by the quality, grip, sturdiness and versitility of this product.

Above and beyond
First, I LOVE the packaging that Smallrig did for this product: there is no plastic at all, only paper products.The magic arm and clamp are really secure and strong. I’ve used Smallrig products in the past and will continue to do so because of this level of quality.Next, the incredible arm and clamp aside, the 1/4”-20 threaded GoPro mount they included feels like it is a better quality than even the official GoPro tripod adapter, which I also have. I suspect it’s some kind of tough polycarbonate.

Si estás buscando una abrazadera robusta para montar tu cámara de acción, monitor o lo que sea en un sitio que vibra mucho (como una moto o una bicicleta de montaña), deja de buscar.Este Super Clamp con Magic Arm de SMALLRIG es otro nivel. La compré específicamente para sujetar una cámara en el manillar de la moto y poder grabar mis rutas. Tenía miedo de que se aflojara con la vibración o que la cámara saliera volando, pero nada de eso.La calidad de construcción es increíble: es puro metal, los tornillos de apriete son gigantes y la rótula del brazo mágico es fuertísima.Lo mejor de todo es que, por mucha vibración que haya, la cámara ni se inmuta, ni se tambalea, ni se mueve un milímetro. La aprietas bien con el tornillo de 1/4″ y se queda anclada como si fuera parte de la moto.Ventajas clave:Robustez máxima: Es un tanque. Aguanta vibraciones y velocidad sin problemas.Brazo Mágico top: Lo ajustas al ángulo perfecto y lo bloqueas con una sola rosca grande.Fijación segura: El Super Clamp se agarra a cualquier barra o tubo con una presión brutal.Versatilidad: Sirve para cámaras, luces, móviles… lo que se te ocurra.
