Another great product from Sonoff! I have migrated from the Sonoff Dongle E, another flawless dongle that has served me well for more than a year. The Dongle MG24 has great range, and is compatible and extremely easy to install with ZHA.I strongly recommend the Sonoff Dongle MG24 if you need a Zigbee Coordinator, or a Thread Border router, or even a ZigBee router that can extend your Zigbee network. I hope I will be able to write another review one year from now.If you are into Open Smart Home Solutions do not think twice if you need to purchase a new Dongle for your Home Assistant . Bravo and keep it up Sonoff!!.

This is the one you want.
This thing is great. I’ve paired like 15 Zigbee devices in Home Assistant with this and it works flawlessly every time. I don’t have any Thread devices but I’m sure it will work the same for that too. It even comes with a matching usb extension cable for if you don’t want to just have it attached directly to your device. Also, the range on this thing is impressive. I tested it from the farthest end of my apartment with no other Zigbee devices creating a mesh or anything and it had no problem picking it up though about 3 walls.

Don’t buy this. Only for multi-protocol
I felt misled and lied to. There’s no clear cut instructions on how to use multi-protocol and when trying to use whatever instruction sonoff provided just does not work with zigbee2mqtt (as they said it is the only one that works with multipan) to only to find out that it seems to be working been actuality it does not. It cannot communicate with any zigbee devices nor pair and in finding out last minute before writing this? That ember does not work with multi-protocol

sonoff tech support is a fraud
Reddit is their “official support channel,” but they don’t respond to issues. Their firmware website is broken.As the price premium carries a certain guarantee of support, I can’t recommend anyone buy this unless it is severely discounted on clearance.

Ottima antenna in formato dongle per il protocollo zigbee.L’ho installata nel mio sistema Home Assistant in fase di allestimento e ha funzionato bene sin dal primo momento.Con MQTT e Zigbee2MQTT ha richiesto alcune prove per trovare la configurazione corretta, ma una volta impostati opportunamente i parametri, ha funzionato egregiamente.

Works well with Home Assistant (Core version: 2025.10.4) using IKEA Zigbee devices. Home Assistant recognizes the dongle immediately and device pairing is seamless. No issues observed so far. Satisfied with the purchase.

I bought this to use with a computer running Home Assistant. Very easy to install. It allows me to use Home Assistant as a Zigbee hub.I used to have smart switches that worked off 2.4Ghz WiFi, but they kept on dropping off the network. I have found Zigbee devices much more reliable. Even though this USB dongle comes with a 1m USB extension lead, I also purchased a 5m USB extension lead to place the aerial in the most optimal position. It definitely makes a difference.
