An excellent dual-band WiFi extender
I had an 8-year-old Netgear WiFi extender that I bought on Amazon. My network has since undergone significant changes, including a new ISP, AT&T Fiber, and a new TP-Link BE9300 router. I noticed hesitancy and drops occurring from the extender, and decided that it was time to upgrade it. I chose the TP-Link AX1800 (RE600X) WiFi extender and I’m very pleased with the results.First, it is dual-band, where the Netgear it replaced was only single-band at 2.4 GHz. I used the TP-Link Tether App for setup, and it was pretty logical and easy to use. In less than an hour, I had the extender up and running and was able to control the IoT devices in the zone it serves. I had no problem naming the extender with the same SSID as the old Netgear, so once the new TP-Link was installed, the devices recognized the SSID and connected.I have had nothing but good luck with TP-Link devices in my home. They include a new BE9300 router, several AV200 and AV2000 powerline adapters, and smart plugs and switches. All of it has never had to be replaced and outlived its technical functionality.I’d recommend the AX1800 to anyone trying to eliminate a dead zone in their home or office. I was only trying to provide service to a small area of my home, so the extender’s coverage was fine for my use. If you’re trying to service a larger area, you might need a model with more coverage.I highly recommend the TP-Link AX1800 and would buy it again!

Solid wifi extender
I am well versed with Wifi technologies. This is a great little extender that I used in an home ASUS mesh environment. While this does not connect to AImesh it does connect easily to the environment and is compatible. I use this for a covered patio outside during the warm months of the year. I access the GUI through a web browser interface….not an app so I can’t speak to that (just old). It is a dual band extender. I usually use 5ghz for the backhaul and 2.4 for the extension channel. At max performance this device easily reaches my shed with strong signal about 100 ft away. I choose a more limited performance due to wifi interference at the 2.4 level. This works extremely well on covering the patio areas and not bleeding over into the house. This device replaces much more expensive devices (Nighthawk extenders) and works far better. At the $40 deal price that I purchased this on it can be offered up outside under the patio and is affordable to replace unlike the Nighthawks.I’ve had problems with the GUI in the past with TP Link but this web interface was straightforward and easy to follow. Its easy to plug it in and then unplug it when necessary. The boot time is long but that is the case with most network devices. The connections are solid to multiple devices and the throughput and download speeds are acceptable for 4k streaming from the internet and internal network.A worthy purchase at the price point for my use.

Dead Zones Gone—Smooth Coverage Everywhere
Setting up the TP‑Link AC1900 RE550 was straightforward, and the smart signal indicator made placement easy. I positioned it midway between my router and den, and the difference was immediate—strong, stable WiFi in every corner. Streaming, gaming, and smart devices all run without hiccups now.The dual‑band speeds keep everything fast, and the gigabit port is a bonus for hardwiring my desktop. Most importantly, my laptop connection for work is now rock‑solid—I can move between rooms without worrying about drops during video calls or losing access to cloud files. Setup through the app was quick, and the sleek design blends right into the room. For the price, this extender delivers excellent coverage, convenience, and peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone tired of dead zones and messy connections.

Strong Coverage Boost With a Few Setup Hiccups | Fox Den Reviews
After dealing with stubborn Wi-Fi dead zones in the upstairs bedrooms and on the patio, I picked up the TP-Link RE550 — and I’m happy to report it delivered a noticeable upgrade. Streaming is smoother, smart home devices stop dropping offline, and pages load without that frustrating “spinning wheel” delay. Once connected, performance has been stable and speeds remain impressively close to my main network.I especially like the signal strength indicator LEDs on the unit — super handy for finding the ideal placement. The Gigabit Ethernet port is also a great bonus for devices that benefit from a hard-wired connection like a TV or gaming console. And being EasyMesh compatible gives me room to expand in the future, which is a nice plus.Where it fell just short of 5 stars: • The setup wasn’t as smooth as advertised — the app froze once and I had to reset and retry pairing • It’s a bit bulky, so depending on your outlet placement, it may be a tight fitOnce everything was sorted, though, it’s been rock-solid. Great range, strong speeds, and no more Wi-Fi “dead zone frustration.”A solid upgrade for anyone wanting to extend reliable coverage without jumping fully into a mesh system just yet.🦊📡 Fox Den Reviews Approved — Reliable Performance With Minor Quirks

Powerful range
I had another extender from the same brand, but its range was too short for the cameras furthest from my house. I bought this AX3000 6 (RE700X) dual-band WiFi internet amplifier, and it’s been excellent. All the cameras in the house receive the WiFi signal thanks to this device. I would definitely buy it again. I remember even buying it when it was on sale, so it was cheaper than usual. The 2.4 GHz function is also great for devices that only work on that band. It’s very easy and quick to set up, and the connection is very stable. I highly recommend it.

Also Repeater und Extender neu installiert, keine Besserung.

I have been using another Extender for a couple of years now, it works, but I the connection is not always stable or available for devices I need to connect outside, but it works 85% of the time. And I always have doubts or cannot always trust the extender always feed coverage / signal connections. I have tried 2 other products of extenders but they worked pretty much the same. That is why I thought…well, it’s probably my problem how everything is constructed and lay out in regards to the areas I need to use this extender. So I have given up in trying to find something better because I think it’s going to be pretty much the same results. So last week I finally decided to give another chance to look for a better Extender, I found this, but at first I didn’t have much high hope, I would just try it and then refund it if the performance is not what I expected. But to my surprise, the signal is so much stronger providing VERY stable and solid connections ! Now I feel 100% with this extender providing solid connection, I can see my devices loading faster, and not drops at all, everything just work so much better now. Very happy. Now in my case, I’m not so much concerned about “dead zones” is more like I need a solid connection to where I need to use it and this extender performed just that, a solid connection. My internet connect is pretty solid so if the extender can extend it, then everything will be fine, again, this extender did a solid job in extending connection. I’m sure this extender can always broadcast a very long range of connection to help reduce dead zones/spots.Oh, in terms of installation/setup, I do recommend to use the “Tether” app to setup. It’s easier for most users. But if you have experience with extenders, you can always connect to the extender network and use a browser (i.e. your phone, iPad, or even a computer) to configure and setup the extender. For me, I used the Tether app to setup the Extender, and I used the Tether app to check status of the extender but the browser offers you more options in settings (i.e. changing wifi passwords – you cannot do that with the Tether app). The instructions are all there in the piece of paper and it’s not long so don’t need to be scared, it’s pretty easy. Just follow what it says. And basically you can just setup/configure using the Tether app but the app is 80 Mb so I might delete it and just connect to the extender and configure / monitor from a browser going forward (just need to save the URL on my browser)If you want to use the Tether to setup/configure this extender you will need (do it before you setup the extender):1. Create a d-link account (very easy, just need an email and create a password)2. Have a Password Handy for your Extender – make 1 up (You need to create a login password to your Extender – You don’t want everyone to be able to connect to your Extender and mess things up right?) – you will still need this even if you don’t use a Tether app to setup your extender.3. Have your WIFI password ready (the password of the WIFI connection that you want the extender to use). If you are connecting your extender to your router/modem directly with a cable, you do not need this but I think most people are trying to extender their WIFI connections wirelessly.Worth every penny imo, I got this on sale for $60 CDN + tax. . 5 Stars product. Good Luck and hope this extender will be the last one you need for years to come.
