The Blink Outdoor 4 XR camera was easy to set up and connects fast to the app. The picture quality is clear, and the motion alerts come through right away. The range is good — I get a solid signal even from my backyard.The battery life is decent, but it depends on how often it records. With frequent motion, it drains faster than the “two-year” claim, but still better than most cameras I’ve tried. The app is simple to use, and I like that there are no wires or complicated setup.Overall, it’s a solid camera for basic home security.

Wow 🤩 Loved the cameras already but the new XR sync module is amazing!!
These cameras are incredible! We have had 3 Blink Outdoor 4 cameras for over a year now and they reach about 200 feet from our house with the regular sync module. I decided to purchase two more with the XR Sync Module to see if they would work at the distances advertised. I have to say I’m blown away by their performance on XR+. They are well worth it for us even with XR+ having a saver option as the only selectable video quality and no use of the microphones. I installed one at our gate which is 532’ from our house where the sync module is plugged in and one at our barn which is 295’ away through a lot of trees. They were super easy to install. There is a XR option that allows standard HD video quality but ours had to be on the XR+ option to connect at the distance I placed them but they still show 2 bars of connectivity to the sync module so I could probably go even further with them if I needed to.Both cameras pick up motion well both day and night and the video quality is pretty good for being in saver mode. I still can’t believe they work so far away and it’s nice to have extra security on our acreage. Now I know when I have packages or mail delivered or if something is in our barn that shouldn’t be such as coyotes or bobcats. I’m always checking them and the batteries are still going strong. I wanted to purchase 2 more cameras with the XR module but there was a limit of one purchase because of the Prime Day deal. I will definitely be purchasing them again next year because there are other spots I’d like to put cameras up that are further away than the regular sync module can handle.I’ll attach pictures to show how far they are from our house and some of the night and day image quality. I used the measure tool on Google Earth for measurements. I highly recommend them!

Good wireless cameras with some caveats
I bought two of these on a Black Friday 60% off sale. I’m awarding them five stars partially due to the $79.99 price. (I would never consider paying twice that amount.) My other reasons for giving five stars is that they are easy to set up and they work quite well. But there are some caveats.The XR designation (apparently indicating Extended Range) increased the price without any exceptional performance improvement. Indeed, my first two Blink outdoor cameras were remanufactured and I can see no difference in the picture quality among the four cameras.I recommend mounting the cameras high because they can easily be plucked from their mounts by anyone passing by. Also, after thirty days your trial cloud storage will disappear leaving you without convenient recording options. The $30 monthly fee is too high for me although we may purchase two months of service while we’re away for winter. The devices will continue to be available for viewing on our phones without any plan.

Good cameras for the price. Vertical mount adapters are useless.
Great for the price. The included vertical mount adapters are useless though. The camera will not stay attached to the adapter. They fall off with a simple tap. A slight wind would remove them easily. I was planning on using these to attach cameras to porch ceilings, but had to attach them through my vynal siding instead.The camera themselves work well, and have great resolution. The recordings are short as these run on battery, but they do have USB C ports if you are able to run the cords to them.Good introductory security cameras.

Based on my brother’s recommendation, I ordered these and I’ve had these less then a month and so far, my wife and I like them.These are super easy to set up and even easy to install on the house too, do to the size. They are easy to use in the app also. My wife can be technologically challenged sometimes and she has no issues using the app yet. They can be easily customized in the app. Even narrowing down the areas you want motion detection at. Just click on square you don’t want detection at. The video quality is very good to but I don’t believe I would be able to read license plates without being closer.Time will tell on the battery life. Ill do an update when I find out. The more motion detection, the less battery life. All motion detection would have to be shut off to achieve the two year life. My brother had an issue with one camera that kept dieing out quickly and Blink was quick to help, then replaced it without any trouble fixing the issue. So I’m hopeful on these and will be adding more to my camp at a later time.
