  1. Trial N’ Error

Great remote that’s easy to setup at a fair price.
This is perfect with one MINOR exception. I wish the backing plate was the standard depth of a normal wall switch. This sticks out about 3/8″ vs the typical 1/8″ for no good reason other than the choice of a thicker magnet to retain the remote. This could easily be designed better but the switch itself is perfect. Great Zigbee range, nice feel to the buttons, the buttons themselves are larger than most making hitting them easier. Easy setup and programming using Hubitat as the hub. I’ll be buying more fo sho!

    iot 4way
amazing little device. very compatible with typical iot software. 12 button functionality so its very capable. very good product.

  3. Amazon Customer

    Very cheap feeling
It works as expected but the click feels very cheap quality. The whole thing mounted on the wall is just cheap. The idea is great but it’s low quality.Update : Seller was willing to refund the price of the product due to my thoughts of their product. Customer service moves to 4 stars.

Home Assistant system quickly recognized the device
My Home Assistant system quickly recognized the devices and I was able to associate the buttons to several different lights and switches. Each button has several actions that can be associated with different lights or automatons or scenes. A short press can do one thing and a long press another, two other actions can do something else. It solved a problem of when I wanted to turn on a switch that was not easily accessible and Alexa was unavailable.

    It just works
Was easy to pair with home assistant and was able to easily create automations based on the button press and double press. The button hold only sends after you release the button so you aren’t really sure how long to hold it to achieve the desired result. But otherwise works as expected. Have considered getting more. Only had it a short time, but I hope it has longevity.

    Doesn’t work with Alexa.
I thought this would work with Alexa, but nope not even with a dedicated zigbee hub will it work.

Mostly Compatible with Home Assistant ZHA but Cheaply Made
Home Assistant Zigbee scene controllers are hard to find as most of them are hub specific. This one is no different – it primarily speaks Tuya and the instructions are for Tuya. But it does work with Home Assistant. When you first pair it, it connects right away in pairing mode and shows up as four batteries rather than a scene controller, but that’s typical for Tuya remotes. The good news is that HA recognizes the button clicks and you can create automations based on them, such as if button 1 is pressed, toggle kitchen lights. Once you set up automations, it works like a switch and usually works quickly, though sometimes it takes an extra click.A big downside of this product is its quality. It just feels and looks really cheap. Compare it to Hue remotes and you see the difference. I put them side to side for reference. The gaps between buttons are inconsistent and the plastic they used is really cheap and flimsy. The buttons feel squishy. Trying to remove the battery cover, I wasn’t sure what will come apart first. The cover or the remote.Overall, this is a serviceable scene controller that works with Home Assistant. But its cheap build quality limits its appeal.

Awesome for guests in a smart home
I am loving this button for light control! I am a long time user of smart home devices, and this one makes it easier for my guests (AKA older parents) when they are staying at my house. All they have to do is hit a button, and the lights will come on or off so they don’t have to use Alexa and remember what names I have for all the light groups to control them by voice. The remote that stores in the wall mountable face plate is easily removed for them to bring to wherever they want to put it for easy access when they need it. I used my label maker to tell them which button controls what lights, and put them on each button for easy use. The only downfall is that you can only pair the buttons with light bulbs that are controlled by the SmartLife app. I am currently switching out the bulbs in rooms I want controlled with this button with ones that work with both SmartLife and Alexa voice control, and have had a couple hiccups getting both to be compatible, but that is no fault of this button switch-it seems to be the easy part of this configuration. A+ for this item from me!
