Great product
This Yale smart lock is super easy to use and gives me peace of mind. I can lock and unlock the door from anywhere using the Google Home app, and I love that I can create codes for family or guests. It works well with my Google devices and even lets me use voice commands with Google Assistant, which is really handy. The design is modern and sleek, and it fits my door perfectly. I also like that it still has a key option just in case. The battery lasts a long time, and setup was simple. Overall, it’s a smart and reliable way to keep my home secure.

Looks great, works well once set up
Love the matte black finish, it feels solid and looks really nice on my door. Installation was super easy. It works with Google Home and I like being able to share codes with family. Setup with Matter took a little patience and you’ll need a hub for remote features, but once it’s connected it’s been reliable. Overall, a good smart lock.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reliable, Sleek, and So Convenient
I’m so impressed with our Yale Smart Lock it’s truly upgraded the way we enter and secure our home. Installation was straightforward, and the app setup was pretty easy. I love that I can lock and unlock the door right from my phone, even when I’m not home, and the auto-lock feature gives me peace of mind knowing the door is always secure. The design is sleek and modern, blending perfectly with our front door, and the keypad is responsive and easy to use. One of my favorite features is being able to create temporary codes for guests or service providers no more hiding spare keys!Overall, this smart lock is reliable, intuitive, and worth every penny. It’s made daily life so much easier and adds an extra layer of security to our home. Highly recommend!

Bricked with Matter Setup on first day…
At the current time I can only give it a 1 star.Install instructions for google home was missing the following. After you manually install the lock hold the gear icon to put in “pairing mode” – the latch will extend out and gear will flash white.Scan the matter QR and follow steps. Please note I have bricked 1 lock and got a RMA for it and the second one may be as well. How the lock became bricked:Matter was setup and working okay, noticed I forgot to tighten a screw so I removed the battery and then reinserted battery. After putting the battery back in Gear Flashing Amber eternally. -> SMART LOCK FUCNTION WILL NOT WORK only key (Basically a normal deadbolt)Removed from Google Home and manual Reset.Only Gear Flashing Amber returns… unclearable…Yale mentioned it was a google software problem… and this may hold true since in the google home app occasionally I’ll see the details of the lock(mostly battery %) but it falls off or says offline. (settings are unchangeable also). In my RMA lock I’m in the same boat however I have not tried to remove or manually reset it just yet as I’m hoping for a fix before it gets perma stuck like the previous lock… (I’m hoping theres still something they can fix over the air…)

Works well as my first smart lock
Installation is pretty straight forward. Build quality seems sturdy enough with a nice heft to it. It took me 40 mins to go step by step using the video instructions with verifying measurements for the door.Set up with the Google Home app could’ve been better. There’s no prompt during set up to set your pin. If you try to use the Google Home app to unlock it before setting a pin, you’ll be greeted with an incorrect pin message. Too many failed attempts and it’ll temporarily lock you out. You’ll have to find the pin settings in the “Household & Access” part of the settings for the lock. You’ll be able to set a pin for each user of your household. Google dropped the ball on this crucial step of the process. Once the pin is set, it gives you an option to have Google Home app save the pin so you don’t have to enter it every time you unlock it from the app. Unfortunately, this did not work initially. I had to clear storage data from the Google Home app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone to get it to remember the pin.It comes with an Doorsense sensor to place next to the lock and lets you know if the door in the open or closed position in the Home app. There’s no option for Doorsense notifications that I found, but it’s good to see whether the door is left open at a glance. Doorsense does require calibration which takes about 5 mins. There’s 4 options for locking/unlocking. You can use a physical key (1 included), pin entry on the keypad, Google Home app, or using a voice command with the Google assistant. The assistant does ask you to say the pin out loud to lock/unlock, so keep that in mind if you have people around.Other features include auto locking after a certain period of time (currently only 30 secs to 2 mins) and a vacation mode, which disables the keypad when you’re away.Since this is a Google Home preferred product, this will not work with the Yale app if you’re using it with Google Home.Overall it’s a good entry level Lock. I wished more options were included such as location proximity that locks or unlocks based on your location. Funny enough, that feature is advertised in the manual. Maybe in a future update. Once you get this lock up and running as it should, it’s great. Just make sure whatever Matter hub you’re using is within range. I’m currently using a Google 4K TV streamer as the matter hub.

Works well. Easily to install.

It doesn’t work with Google home, at least not for me. Given the mixed reviews there seems to be a software issue with certain phones. Wasted so much time troubleshooting. But it works with Yale access app.
