Great lamp!
I was cynical when I bought this lamp for many reasons but it is better than I could have hoped. It’s simple to put together and you just plug it in. There is an on/off button at the top near the lamp that is flush within the pole. The lamp swivels easily at the top of the pole so you can move the light in all directions including straight up. I have mine facing the wall which gives a nice ambient, flattering light in the room. The pics are of it on and off.I opted to download the app and connect it to Alexa. The app is impressive with all its options including some fun colorful ones. It lets me control the lighting whenever I want but I especially like I that I can control lighting when I am not at home. You can also choose to create a schedule to turn the lamp on or off at certain times. There are so many different scenes available in the app, plus an option to set a personalized one that you can align with your lifestyle. It also geofences.I especially love the Alexa integration (without having to have a special plug). You just add the lamp to your Alexa app. If I walk in or out of a room, I ask her to turn it on or off. I bought one lamp and the next day bought a second because it’s perfect for my needs and the lighting in my living room is now much improved. I created a special name for each lamp in the lamp app and use Alexa by saying, “Alexa, turn on ____”. So convenient, especially since they sit behind a couch.I highly recommend this lamp!

Impressive, solid build, excellent functions and very bright
The assembly was easy and took about 3 minutes. The lamp comes with a 24 volt 1 amp power adapter. The cord is pretty long, but not so long that you need to bundle it up. It plugs into a standard barrel connector that is on about a 12-inch cord at the base of the lamp.Setup is pretty easy, it can connect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It comes with an IR remote and there is a control on the side of the lamp (touch control). The touch control only change the brightness or on/off.The app allows you to change colors and temperature settings, stream music to the lamp and various other controls.The lamp pole is multisection and screws together, it’s made of metal. The base is pretty heavy. The light part of the lamp is plastic.It’s very well-made, packaging is A+, instructions are A+. Very solid build quality. Not what you would expect in this price range.Probably one of the better purchases I have made. Will likely buy a few more.

Turned out better than expected!
I bought four of these to light up my dark living room – a 15x22ft room, putting each one in a corner. The end result was amazing, and better than I expected – from any lighting, not just this one.The lights were easy to assemble. Easier than any other torchiere-style lights I’ve bought before. The threading was smooth and easily screwed together. The cabling inside wasn’t a pain to deal with, and luckily the power cable didn’t need to thread through the base – it comes out about an inch above with a handy adapter.After plugging them in, I tried to use one of the remotes on all of them, but the remotes are “paired”. I didn’t spend much time playing with the remotes, since my goal was to integrate with Amazon’s Alexa Echo Dot thing. Because, who wants to turn off four different lamps in the living room?Setting up the lamps in their “Magic Home” app was easy. Using bluetooth, it found all four. I renamed mine to make it easier to distinguish – One behind the ugly chair, the one by the cat condo, etc. Once setup in their app, you can link to Alexa in their app too. Then you go to the Alexa app and setup the “Home Magic” skill, and then you can control it with Alexa. Setup a group for the living room, and you tell Alexa to turn them on, turn them off, or set the brightness or color.Overall I’m really happy with these lamps. My wish was that they were a little brighter, but my living room has never looked so bright from these 4 lamps, and the price was great. Alexa makes it easy to control… so the only thing left is to see how long they last!————Update #1: Two weeks later! One of the lights has stopped working. I only noticed when setting up a second Echo Dot that the light said “unresponsive” in the living room. I tried a different outlet, no luck. I tried a different power adapter from a working lamp and it starts blinking on/off, but won’t respond to the power button. Amazon seems to allow returns of a defective one for up to 90 days. The downside is that you have to take it apart – which, like assembly isn’t too bad. But they include “disassembly instructions” that show how to put it back in the box. Apparently they include that for a reason… :sigh: We’ll see how long the rest of my lamps last.
