Function select and auto range interface a bit confusing,
I ordered this by mistake and found the function and auto range select interface too confusing for me and returned it and buy a meter with a rotary function dial and no auto rangie selection.I Requested a return and saw that i needed to box up the item and print a shipping label. took the item to ups and they said it would cost $7.50 to box up. Returned home and boxed it myself.Update..return shipping charge was a mistake by ups store not by seller, i boxed and labeled package and there was no charge for return.Next day i received an email from seller indicating they were shipping an upgraded meter with selector dial as a replacement AFTER issuing a refund for first meter…Also the instruction manual is tucked away in a pocket in the handy case supplied with the meter and you will need two AAA batteries.. but the meter also comes with a small screwdriver you can use to open the battery compartment on the back of the meter.2Excellent customer service.. would definitely buy again from this sellerJust received this upgraded meter with a more intuitive interface from sellerhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HZ59JNDAll functions on the meter work… BUTi found that the pin connection on the black test lead was a bit small and made intermittent contact to the meter so the meter may appear to not work out of the box. But dont give up on the meter since there is an easy fix. The connector pin on the test lead is split so that it can be expanded inserting a small flat screwdriver into the splits in the end of the contact pin in the test lead wire and spreading the pin open a bit. This makes for a bettter contact with the connector in the meter.Once the lead connector was expanded the meter worked as described and is just the sort of meter i initially wanted.

Great amp meter
Meter came quickly and works great. It fits places where my other clamp meters do not fit and is quick to respond. I keep it with my boat tools to check current on boats and am very happy with how it works.

This was a defective product
The one thing that it is supposed to do is read amps, and voltage accuracy and it can’t even do that. But the non contac voltage tester works so there’s that. It was a defective unit but the company not only read my original review but they also contacted me as to replace it and I am satisfied with the resolution.

Nice form factor and auto settings
The first time I saw this, I was amazed at how compact this is. I am so used to dial settings, that it took me a little while to get used to this auto unit. I’ve wondered for years why multi-meters have an AC & DC dial settings with various amps sensitivities. I always thought that a chip inside could easily tell the difference between alternating current and direct current, and the various sensitivity settings for each one that every other multimeter has. Well, it’s finally arrived. This one works like a charm. I love it.The only issue I found is in the directions for the “Auto” button. A short press oscillates between DC current AC current and auto modes. The AC and DC are signified by the corresponding icons, which is very small on the display. The long press oscillates between DC current and Auto. Or an AC current long press takes you back to Auto. The instructions do not reflect that. But who RTFM anyway?DC voltage range between .8 V add a resolution of .001 V to 610 V at a resolution of 1 volt. AC range is .8 V at a resolution of .001 V to 610 V at a resolution of 1 volt.

Somewhat accurate
Nice lightweight meter, I just find it a pain in the butt switching the feature would have made it faster and easier. I’m a master electrician and brought it forfield service but this would be nothing more than a home use meter or for side jobs. You you get what you pay for

Read directions, ask for help!
At 1st this was a 1 star, but then I figured out I was using it wrong, now its totally a 5 star! The setting are REALLY confusing, and the manual isn’t very clear, plus the icons are way too similar and hard to see.

A must have for my Appliance Repair Business
I am a professional Appliance Technician. Many manufacturers now, are heading all “Energy Star” with their products. The good thing is, it saves you $10 a year on electricity. The bad, cost 20 times more when they break. Computer driven units with multiple computer boards talking to each other. With VERY low votage. Samsung is the worst. One repair I did the other day, the fan motor only pulled .0020 amps. My regular clamp meter wouldnt even register this. But, this little fella, just became my “go to” clamp meter. It is accurate, and very inexpensive.Now, knowing the very small amps pulled will tell me if its the fan, or the board. This accuracy takes the guess work out of repairs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. Anyone who works on modern low volt anything will need it.Do it yourself guys handling refrigeration, get this, also get the $20 freon sniffer I bought with it. My sniffer for $20 also replaced my $300 sniffer and works just as good. I will say, amazon has made my life easier. My cost of tools, parts, and one day shipping makes me look like a super pro. A good thing for any small business. Thanks

erroneous DC current measurement
I have about 15 multimeters, bought this because it has an open jaw to measure DC current, but totally disappointed in that the open jaw can only handle wire that is 2 AWG or thinner, and the accuracy is way off, where the open jaw measurement displayed 5.6A, while my 3 other clamp meters measured 2.35A, 2.37A and 2.38A
