Great upgrade for my system!Bought my first house last year, and one of the first things I did was install a Nest Thermostat E to run my HVAC system. Probably one of the best investments any home owner can make. The app is super easy to use, just like the unit itself. I’m already seeing a drop in my heating & cooling bill. I will be adding the Smoke/CO Detector and a Nest outdoor camera very soon. Two thumbs up for Nest!

Do not buy this model it did
Bought Jan 2025 and it stopped working Oct 2025. Started saying no voltage on Y. Had someone come out to verify voltage is present. It’s got a full charge and I power cycled the thermostat as well as made sure software is up to date and it still doesn’t work. If I power cycle the thermostat it’ll work for a few hours then right back to error code. I purchased a newer model hopefully that one will last longer. If it doesn’t make it a year then I’m just going to use a different brand. The only reason I gave google nest a second chance is because I can get it faster. I don’t want to reach out for a warranty because I’ve read they will send you in circles before sending you a replacement

I hate the eco setting. I turn it off, but either Google or the power company sneaks in and turns it back on. But the ability to remote control via phone app is wonderful. You need this model to use the extra remote sensor.

My old digital thermostat was very limited, no remote connection and display was getting dim.Since We use Google home and nest devices already, I chose this Nest smart thermostat. It was a cinch to install and then add to Google Home. Having remote management, usage info, voice control and scheduling capabilities is a game changer. Love it ❤️

Set up is difficult.
User interface is easy had to call Nest Support twice and the wiring is funky and if not just right you may lose some functionality. It looks great. The compatibility with the rest of the system is seamless. It is very energy efficient. And the rebates and programs to get money for buying it are insane. It looks good and is just the right size. But set up was a pain for sure.

If you are thinking about it, just get it! It definitely is worth it. I had a programmable thermostat before. It definitely saved me money but the battery was always dying and I had to reset all of the programs and I had to reset from cold to hot and so many other things that the nest does so much easier. It was a breeze to instal. The directions it comes with are pretty good but there are many YouTube videos that are even better. I recommend.
