Excellent Product
I have 6 of these units. They all work wonderfully in the same app and from my phone. I can control temperature anywhere on the planet 🌎 with a phone signal. It also knows when you’re away and will drop the heat until right before you get home. The display sleeps until it senses movement. It is bright and colorful. I recommend these to all family and friends. Excellence!!

Like new and can be locked!
I had a great experience all around – shipping and product were great. Seemed like new when opened and easy to install (with correct wiring figured out).No issues so far and can access the controls via the Nest app.The best part for me is I can creat a lock pin remotely in the app if one of my Airbnb guests decides to suddenly crank the heat or AC to an alarming setting.

Defective (Renewed???)
Was excited to get this installed. Unfortunately, after carefully putting this together, it wouldn’t power up. Rechecked the wires several times, straight forward install. Nothing. Even tried a 24v ac external power source. Nope. Plugged a charger into the micro USB port on the back to make sure the battery was charged. No luck. No flashing red light, just…nothing. Boxed it up and sent it back. FYI, this was a “renewed” item. That’s a typo, I’m sure what they really meant was “reboxed” after someone else sent it back. This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten burned on a “renewed” item, but I can surely tell you it’s the last. Lesson learned.

Excellent Nest product, lower price than Learning Thermostat
I have 6 of these in zones, barn, cabin and office. Much less expensive than the other Nest models and work for all my units including heat pump with aux gas. Easy to install and work great.

Remote control
I bought this to be able to control thermostat remote. Definitely worth it. It is so useful if you buy with censors. So you can manage any room temperature you want remotely. Plus, application is so user friendly.

Works well on the schedule
I love setting a schedule and knowing the heat will go up before I have to get out of bed! I was gone 2 months and was able to manage temp from the road. Just have to be sure it knows you’re away or the schedule will override Eco. I use Nest with Google Home and it works great.

Not compatible with system, despite the fact google claims it is
I’ve owned four homes and replaced thermostats in each one. The installation of the nest looks easy enough – and it is – except for the fact the Nest, and Nest E thermostats are not compatible with our heat pump system even though Google’s compatibility tool claims both will work. I returned the Nest when it failed, bought the Nest E, and now that model has failed. I have spent several hours reading troubleshooting tips, watching videos, and trying all the advice given, without success, an now I’m done. I’m returning the Nest E and will try the next level – Gen 3 learning thermostat..
