Almost Perfect
I ordered the light “Bar” (with the track/covers), as well as the light strip these guys sell, wanting to compare the difference. I’m installing in an RV, so it’s a bit more challenging. As for this light bar product, it was very nicely packaged, probably too nice. The installation instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow, EXCEPT, the retaining clips. The photo of the clip install is a bit unclear to me. A profile photo of that clip might help, as to how it’s installed in the track. I’d suggestion just playing with a piece in your hand until you totally get how the clip fits in the track. It fits as it should, but super tight, and took a bit more force to get in place, and is the only possible weak point, but still a super minor thing. I will be buying more of these at some point. They are GREAT if you stay in a simple straight line, or on one plane, as in around a ceiling, or as accent lighting. Make sure your cuts are straight, as there are a lot of leds in this and it will peak out of any cover if not matched up tight. I’d prefer each track be a bit longer, maybe even a meter, plus a couple shorter. A dremel cutoff wheel does the trick to easily cut.To me, the ‘bar’ is great if directly in your sights, like around a ceiling, and their regular sticky light strips, would def be better out of sight, like under cabinet, but still not bad even within view.And their APP is super nice, and will do anything I can imagine. Is fairly intuitive. Only knock, so much info is packed on the screen, it’s hard to scroll without touching an option and changing things on accident. Maybe space out the selectable items a bit more, leave room for a finger to scroll. But, overall all, great job. Worked very well with Alexa, easy integration. The light “bar” item is a bit more pricey, but it does look/feel a bit premium, but at $50 it’d be a very good value.

Brings me so much joy
I am SO pleased with this kit. It looks INCREDIBLE in person. It diffuses the light so well, is very sleek looking from all angles, and was super easy and satisfying to put up. I think the price is justified!I also disagree with the others saying that these don’t get dim enough, for me they can get pretty low, into a nice ambient light.

Overall good product, but needs more mounting tape.
I read the reviews for this before purchasing and I’m glad I did. The actual LED’s are fantastic, but the tracks they come with are a bit lackluster.Do yourself a favor and order a roll of your preferred 1/2” mounting tape along with this, you’re going to need it. There is only a few small strips of mounting tape on the back of each track out of the box, so I put two larger pieces of mounting tape in between each piece already in there and it is very secure now. As long as you clean your mounting surface properly, it will NOT fall off this way.Also, the clips that come with the LEDs to hold them in place are absolutely useless. A huge pro tip that will save you many headaches: put some pieces of 1/2” double sided tape inside the track after you get it on the wall. I put a piece on every seam where the tracks meet to better hold them together, and one in between each meeting point. Once you go to put the led lights in the track, they will stick to the tape and you won’t have to worry about them falling out. The clips are pointless, don’t even bother.Another small annoyance I encountered was there is only one smaller track cover (20cm cover according to the instructions). So if you only have one inner corner, the very end of your track will be uncovered by about 20cm which is really annoying and looks silly.Other than those things, the actual lights and the app are fantastic. The covers snap on really well and diffuse the light brilliantly. I used mine to add light to a dark corner and they are plenty bright to read with, even mounted at the top of a wall. Lastly, the LED plug can be a bit finicky, so if it doesn’t work for you when you plug it in, try turning the connector around.Definitely a great product, would be 5/5 if the clips were actually useful and/or it came with more mounting tape.

Great but need to be more sticky
Love how bright they are and how many options the app has, but the adhesive pads could be stronger they fell over and over until the bulbs started to malfunction and now I have to look for new lightsUpdate: I gave them 2 more stars because their customer service representative was very understanding and went above and beyond to help me with my issue

The installation of these Govee lights in our music studio has created the atmosphere necessary for production and recording sessions! Great diffused led light
Well made kit. Plenty of track you will have left overs. Take your time. Uninstalled mine by the crown molding and it looks great. But lay it out on the floor first if you can to get an idea of where you will have to make cuts. Fresh hacksaw does a fine job of it. These were a great addition to a game room

Get a different Govee product
I am really disappointed with this product. I have Govee rope lights, the tv back light, the light bars, and some smart bulbs, and I have been mostly pleased with them! But I would return this product if I could. The color fidelity is BAD. Like, Govee should be ashamed of themselves bad. The only colors that are anywhere close to accurate are reds. Oranges lean pink, yellows lean green, blues are anyone’s guess, and nothing is very rich. The candlelight option, which is my favorite setting on the other Govee products, switches between a washed-out salmon color and warmish white, and doesn’t flicker at all. The transitions are blunt and there are only two colors. The “warm white” is a bile colored yellow-green. I am really upset that I got it all out and installed before I found out how disappointing it was. If I’d have known, I would have gotten another rope light.

These Govee RGBIC strip lights are awesome. Super bright, tons of color options, and the covers make them look really clean and professional once installed. The app is easy to use and the effects are fun to play with. Adhesive stuck well too. Great way to upgrade a room without much effort.

Although these LEDS are on the pricier side, it isn’t hard to understand why given the quality of the kit. They are super bright while have many light patterns to choose from. The hardware to install and diffuse the light is well made and easy enough to install. My only real issue is not knowing where to install the light strip in order to get the most out of them 🙂

Such an excellent kit. Govee is definitely consumer oriented and easy to install. The app is easy to use and has more features than one could dream of.I gave it 4 stars because it does require cutting to custom fit and have tidy ends. I have fluted slat walls and these do not fit in between the panels. Also, the system is not symmetrical.. what that means is there are sides that show less light and a back side that is opaque. The corner pieces appear to be designed to allow you to make 90 degree angles against wall edges and corners only… you can’t go up the middle of the wall without exposing one of the asymmetric sides.

The strip lights themselves are nothing special. However, with the diffuser for the lights, the vibrancy of colour is great. The plastic is easy to cut if you need to trim and go around corners. (Simple $5-10 hacksaw) The clips to hold the striplight in place in the diffuser are great. There are more than enough to support and hold the lights. My mistake was putting up the channels without measuring it out to where you can cut the light strip. It integrated with my Google home very easily. I can use Google home to change colors, brightness, etc. This is my 3rd Govee Product. 10/10 recommend.

As with all other Govee products I’ve tried, these are very high quality and work great. I have them synched up to all my other Govee lights which are synched up to my PC screen, making my whole gaming room very immersive. I just realized this sounds like an ad, but I don’t even care. lol
