    Great product, buying 4 more
I use a lot of trail cameras and have been looking for an alternative to trees, straps and bungee cords. I do NOT use screw-into-tree type of mount. I’ve been testing HME T-Post holder, which is also a great product at a very reasonable price around $10. But T-Posts are not nearly as convenient to use as this product, which is a post and holder in one. I haven’t been using it long but, so far, it’s the best for my purposes. My ground is not very hard so pushing into the ground was not tough. It is a telescoping pole with a maximun height of 36″, which is what I used and worked well. Since it only goes into the ground about 8 inches, I was concerned it might not be sturdy enough. No worries, it’s just fine. Easy to take up but sturdy enough to do the job.Contrary to some reports, the swivel arm goes side-to-side AND up and down. At first, I also thought it only went up and down but soon realized this is simply because the nuts that control the tension were a bit tight. Use a little more “elbow grease,” or loosen the nut.I just started using this mount so I have no experience yet with the rust issue other than to say a little rust isn’t too bad unless it significantly reduced the life expectancy of the product. If I get 3-4 years out of a $21 product, it will do until something better comes along. In light of these comments, I think I’ll spray a bit of WD40 on the unpainted parts.Ignore the complaints about the packing. While perhaps somewhat justified, who cares. Finding something that’s this well suited for the job, at a reasonable price, and them complaining about some tough plastic that a pair of scissors will easily cut is a waste of time and an unfair criticism of the product itself. The camera mounting bolt could be a little longer, but still works fine on my Browning. The mount came with four rubber washers. I removed three to allow more thread engagement. I’m buying a 4-pack of these mounts today. When they arrive I’ll see if the bolt can be replaced. If not, I’ll still be a happy user.NOTE: I use this type of unsecured camera mount on the interior of my property. Where my property adjoins public use lands, I recommend something with a locking mechanism. After they’ve been in the ground for a year, or so, T-Posts can be tough to get out when driven sufficiently into the ground. I’d recommend a 6′ post driven nearly 3′ deep.

    Great trail camera stand
Nice and light, but sturdy, doesn’t move and love that I can adjust it to how I want

All products in my order were 5 stars!
Today’s order, I received a trail camera stand, Apple Watch screen film protectors, and flexible Apple Watch protectors. All products were 5 stars!! I have ordered the screen film protectors previously, and they are always good! Lay flat, install easily, and stay down without peeling for a long time. The flexible Apple Watch protector was a bit of a surprise because I thought I was ordering a hard plastic snap on protector, but it was actually a flexible silicone bumper protector that fit perfectly, is very flexible, shockabsoring and very clear. I was pleasantly surprised and love it! The game camera stand works just as described and seems to be well-built. Very happy with all three purchases received today!

    pretty good
It anchors into our clay soil pretty well. I wish it was maybe a foot taller fully extended. When extended it wobbles a little bit, but I haven’t seen that show up in a video. So it does the job pretty well, but isn’t perfect. I do like the versatile way it can be aimed.

    LOVE THIS GAME CAMERA HOLDER!
This product SO easy to use, love not having to wrap my game camera around tree or fence post! Easy to reposition, just bought three more to add to three I already have!

Good in theory, junk in execution.
The imitation NYLOC nuts/bolts securing the vertically pivoting head are your typical CHEAP CHINESE JUNK. I wrenched them snugly previously when they loosened the first time, then put this post next to a buck scrape. Well the wind sneezed, the cam drooped, then the mouse that was captured on video snickered. The spot weld for the in-ground spike broke too. These were better in the past, now the Chinese manufacturer is getting their revenge vs USA. When will us Americans realize that cheap crap is not worth the money????

    Good sturdy stand.
My game camera came with a thin metal mounting bracket, but needed to provide my own pole to mount it on. I used a 4’ metal shelf bracket for the pole. It wobbled, fell over a few times, and the bracket that came with the camera was impossible to keep tight once adjusted. And it moved enough in the wind that the motion detector would trip and take pics of nothing.By comparison, this is a good sturdy stand, and is easy to push into the ground with the step-on bottom. The point that drives into the ground has a blade on one side that helps keep the stand from wobbling when it’s driven in. Shaft and step-on part are sturdy square metal. Once this stand is in the ground, it’s pretty solid. The head where the camera mounts swivels and tilts, but these are friction adjustments and you’ll need a needle nose pliers or small wrench to adjust them. Once you have them set right, you can just push in the appropriate direction and the camera will stay at the angle you put it.There are also several rubbery washers around the bolt that holds the camera against the bracket. They are pretty thin and I had to remove three of them to get enough of the bolt to insert into the threaded camera socket. I put them in a tool drawer in case I ever need them to mount another type of camera.Good value for the price.

Quality game camera post, as you expect from HME
This is a nice freestanding game camera post, with usual high HME quality. The top post has a nut to adjust screw length, to enable a tight fit for your camera in any direction. The 2-axis adjustment at the top is easy to adjust with the lever-arm and does not slip after you set it. The post itself can be set to two different heights, to help you adapt to the conditions you are installing it and give your camera an optimum view. I like the having this post as an option to install game cameras in open areas without trees.. These area bit expensive, but also good quality.

This pole camera holder is fantastic. I have to use bear boxes in my area. So l drill a 1/4 inch hole in the back bottom corner mount the bear box over the pole then tighten down with a 1/4 inch nut set camera inside done.

This mount is great for mounting your trail camera in that “Ideal Location” when other options (trees etc.) would be too far away from the area you want to cover. And, with the height adjustment and the tilt and pan facility the mount affords, getting the right shot is so much easier. The ground spike is long enough to ensure a steady mount for your camera.

  11. Craig Storton

Used the groud spike for the first time and it was excellent. Filmed badgers at a local set in very breezy conditions and you wouldn’t have known as there was no movement on the resulting pictures. Easy extending to provide hight on uneven banking. Simple washer system to ensure the camera and adjusting handle don’t impare each other. Love the foot stirrup to push the spike into the hard ground without effort. This is a very well thought out product.

It’s a great way to place a game cam. Although it’s not as steady as a rock, it is much more than needed to place a cam. The big bend at the bottoms is perfect to give your foot clearance to set it into the ground. I am not using it for permanent cam placement, I am using to find where they are coming from/going to. For that, it’s perfect. The only thing I would change is to make it another foot higher. Other than that, I’ll be buying another.

Easy to assemble with the camera. No need to injure a tree with a screw mount. Sets the camera at the best height and angle to capture the deer and other animals. Snd holds firmly. I’m waiting for a bear.
