Very grateful that Matter exists
Love these – likely buying more soon.Matter is the best protocol to buy, particularly if you want to keep your IoT communication within your local network. The advantage is more reliability , and lightning fast response when you control it. With a strong WiFi network, the activation response is as fast as using a physical switch, which is a breath of fresh air compared to vendor locked or cloud locked devices, that can take several hundred milliseconds , or even a couple seconds to register the command. But that doesn’t mean you CANT use Alexa and Google – you absolutely can. The point is you don’t HAVE to. I love manufacturers that are adopting this protocol. Bravo.

Simple to set up and use with great WiFi reception
I installed this to control my outdoor fountain. I was tired of trying to dial in the old manual timer and guess whether I had the times approximately right. With this, it works perfectly. I can time the fountain to go off when the lights do and come on at a specific time in the morning. I can also use it as a remote control to turn off the fountain when the wind is high and it’s blowing all the water out of it. I read some reviews that indicated the WiFi reception is poor. That’s not been my experience. I connected it to WiFi inside the house before moving it to the outdoor receptacle. Pairing is simple by downloading the app, setting it in pairing mode by holding down the power button for 5 sec, then the app auto discovers the device. Enter your WiFi password and you’re set. I love this device. Really easy to use, the app is great (looks a lot like my SmartLife app) and entering timing programs is intuitive and fast. Two thumbs up!

Perfect for above ground pool owners
This has been a really excellent addition to the smart home. It integrated super easily via matter once you put it into pairing mode, and has been a life saver for turning on and off my above ground pool pump everyday. While it’s only been a few weeks at this point using it uncovered outside, we have had some very heavy rains and it’s been unphased. A great value product for sure.

Survived 3 Michigan winters and running
When it’s Christmas light season, I prefer to let Alexa figure out when the lights should be turned off and on. Finding myself in need of an outdoor, weatherproof, and WiFi-connected plug, I tried this little guy.Nearly three years later, it’s my go-to for controlling my outdoor Christmas lights. Between seasons, it sits in a box in my cold garage, but still works well at the beginning of each season. Not only that, but it even remembers WiFi information between seasons! Some IoT devices completely fail this test.My only complaint is that one year it was extremely difficult getting the devices to connect (though weirdly the next year I had zero issues). My WiFi bubble stretches far beyond my house, but it’s likely there was some dead spot in the particular cubic meter where the plugs were.However, I would recommend this product. It’s durable and works flawlessly once connected.

Great Outdoor Smart Swirch
Love these smart switches. Easy to connect to WiFi and Alexa. Works even when it rains. Now even my wife can turn on the outside lights using Alexa.

Doesn’t notify, and turns itself on after every power outage.
This Wi-Fi plug would be great, but it doesn’t send notifications, or display badges when it operates. There are options for notifications, but nothing occurs. What’s more, the switch turns itself ON when the power goes out then comes back on; I came home to a flooded lawn due to the switch activating after a short power outage! I would appreciate a fix for these issues as the switch works fine outside of the two problems.

Perfect remote solution.
I bought 2 of these and they are perfect. The application is simple and easy to use. Programming just takes seconds, and I love that each outlet can be scheduled individually. Also you can label each outlet separately in the app. I use this year round for outdoor lighting. It replaced the old dial style timer, which would stop if someone flipped the switch off or the power went out. The only downside to this model is the plug/cord is short. An 18” or 24” inch cord would be perfect. I love these so much I bought a third. I run all these in the one app. I’ve not had any problems with connection or functionality at all.

Reliable
This smart plug has worked flawlessly to turn on and off landscape lights. I really like the auto on feature based on astronomical sunset. I’ll never have to adjust timers throughout the year again. I’ve purchased smart plugs twice the price of this unit and they don’t have this feature and I’ve experienced reliability issues, not this one. The app is fairly intuitive and easy to use. Great product for the money.
