This has worked perfectly. Signal to a metal building is 5×5 now!
I have had this for awhile now and it gets a strong pure signal to a metal barn 40 yards away. No dropped signals since I put this up. I had a problem with some new cambots overcoming my Spectrum signal to the barn but this fixed that. I have a video on setting it up and the facts and real time of putting something like this up… making a base and aiming it correctly.

Great for outside WiFi
Finally have WiFi down at the dock. Now have a camera that we can monitor. Can also see lake conditions at any time. Can stream music while working outside. Well worth what I paid.

The repeater works beautifully!
The manual got a little more technical, than it needed to be. Otherwise the setup wasn’t too hard. The build and quality are good. Most importantly the repeater works as well as hoped. It is installed in an enclosed porch.It takes the WiFi from the wireless router in the house and sends it to another wireless router (same manufacturer) in a window of a metal building 150 feet away. In there, computers and phones get good and fast Internet from it. I highly recommend this device.

Read this if you need help with setup
Ok, so the other reviews are correct. This thing has the worst setup instructions ever! That’s why I’m only giving it 4 stars. The QR code, app nor link they provided in the paper instructions would work for me. They were a complete waste of time. Luckily I did eventually find a decent set of instructions online. I’ll post pics of them so that they will hopefully help you too. But here is my take on the instructions:After plugging to in, go to your WiFi setup on your phone or computer and select the extender’s WiFi. Then it should automatically open up a link to begin the setup process. If not, the link can be found on the bottom left of the sticker on the back of the wifi extender itself. I’ll post a pic of that as well.Once you’re on that screen you need to type in the word admin as the password and then it will take you to the actual set up pages.For some reason there is no eastern time zone selection available, so if you’re in that time zone you’re out of luck. I just chose the closest one, Canadian.This is also where you’ll decide which mode you’ll want to run the extender in. I chose repeater mode because I didn’t want to have to connect it using the Ethernet cable.Next it’s going to ask for the admin password, so enter the pair key on the sticker on the back of the extender itself.Next you’ll select your actual WiFi and enter the password for your current router so that the new WiFi extender can connect to it. Note: I’m not sure you’ll have to do this if you use the Ethernet cable.Then you can rename your new extender below for both 2.4 and 5G and enter in the password you’d like for those as well. I’d suggest just using the same password as your current WiFi.Then once that’s done, you should be all set up.I have 5 acres and so far this is giving me a signal on all 5 in repeater mode, so that’s very impressive. It’s only the first day though, so I’ll update if that changes.

Very frustrated
Very frustrated! I watched YouTube videos, read the instructions and even called the Wavlink techs. I have worked nonstop all day trying to get this hooked up to my Starlink. I needed this to get internet to my guest cabin. Got it working but it keeps kicking off my internet! I’m done! My guest cabin will not have internet. Period! I give up!

Does It’s Job
Need more outdoor range on your wifi ?? This does the trick. 200 yards to my back fence is no problem even though obstructed by a few oak trees and I’m sure it would do more. Installation is fairly easy and straight forward but make sure you utilize the included POE device. Other devices will probably not work correctly and may damage the unit. Connect as indicated in the instructions. You will need as ethernet cable from the device outside to the unit inside as the POE device is not weather proof.Follow instructions to set up as directed in included pamphlet. For most uses, choose AP or access point . Very pleased with this unit as it does what it claims.

Works well
Very happy with product. I really wasn’t very successful with just using it as an extender so I had to wire it to my router probably operator error however once hooked up it reached 60 yards out to my shed with a full three bars on the Wi-Fi /speed is super fast. I was surprised at how large it was /not a problem. I put it out on my patio.
