Tri Band Mesh solved all my issues
I’m not a IT geek but I have an electronics background (aircraft avionics systems and telemetry) and I had recently decided to get rid of my cable box and go to streaming serivces. Even though I had increased my internet speed to(500Mbps) to support 4k UHD which is overkill for my house hold (I was having constant issues with buffering on my streaming services, signal drop-outs on my cell phones and my computers running slower than normal on the internet. My internet speed tests were consistently down between 20Mbps to 75Mbps and occassionally would run at 150Mbps. Cable guy came out (service center said it was my lines) said that their Router and Modem weren’t the best and recomended that I go to a Mesh System.I went with this Orbi Wifi 6 mesh system with two satellite units. My Wifi Speeds are consistently at 540Mbps or higher depending on where I am in the house, no buffering, no drop outs, no poor wifi connections when wifi calling! Fantasic phone app that allows me to track Wifi Performance room by room,. I still have the stock cable modem from the serivce provider which I will be replacing with an equivalent Motorola Wifi-6 cable modem to match the performance of the router both the Orbi and Motorola are compatible with WPA3 technology when it becomes the standard. My streaming services are humming in 4KUHD. Worth every penny. One drawback is zero setup documentation other than a quick set up guide. My system didn’t set up so quickly, and there was no documentation to explain what the different color light indications meant. So being a little tech savy helps. I finally figured it out how to get all three units to synchronize after an hour. Still well worth the learning curve Money well spent.

Great for boosting the WiFi signal and offering multiple points to connect
I updated my internet service and upon doing so was getting sporadic lags during peak times due to all the devices I have connected. The service technician said to get a Mesh router with multiple nodes to help spread out what device is connecting. I found this set and purchased because it has three separate nodes. Installation was super easy once I downloaded the mobile app and connected to the Mesh after connecting to my modem (this replaces the internet service provider’s wireless router). I left the main router next to the existing modem then placed one node in my basement and another node in a bedroom where my grandson plays video games. I was also able to connect an ethernet cable directly to the node in the bedroom. When I checked signals via the app, I was surprised to see the different devices throughout my home had connected to the closest node. I walked around the house and watched as my cell phone jumped between the three nodes. Great! My grandson now no longer complains of lag or getting dropped due to having the ethernet connection even though other devices have connected to that node via WiFi. This set was a bit pricey however, it’s a NetGear so you get what you pay for. Promptly returned the service provider’s router the next day after installing this. Definitely worth the price!

Warranty issue?
This product worked pretty well. Occaisionally I would have to do the rotating reset dance between the MODEM and the Router and the two sats. But now the Satellites keep disconnecting randomly. Calling to get them replaced (My warranty is up in a couple weeks) is impossible. You call the company and they want you to pay for the technical support contract. Trying to get an RMA is hard blocked unless you want to pay.I did the manual firmware update. That allowed me to connect to the Satellites, but they stil have the intermittent connection issue.Buyer beware.Update. The firmware for the satellites doesn’t work. The company knows it doesn’t work. And that’s the quality you can expect. I’ll never purchace Netgear products again.

single connection
This system works GREAT!!! My daughter and I both work from home. My connection is hardware and hers was WIFI connection. 3 the 4 times a day she will ask is the internet down; my response is no the internet is not down. I have called spectrum out several times and even purchased the Blackhawk router that hold 25 devices and she was still asking is the internet down. I search and search and came across this Netgear WIFI mesh system, some of the reviews was ok and some was bad however I decided to purchase and try it out for myself and I am happy I did. the signal is great thru out the entire house. I have the main router upstairs and one satellite downstairs in the living room and the other downstairs in my den. My daughter have not asked if the internet down since I purchased. I also like it because you have the option to plug in the USB plug with your computer in any of the satellites if you chose to. But for the most part the performance is GREAT hardware or WIFI connection! I will recommend this product if you are having internet connection issues.

Easy installation
It was easy to install and set up. One issue I have is that the system does not include a user manual. I found the manual online and it help me set up the system. Another issue I had was using their app to set up the satellites. I could not get them to connect using the app so I had to use the sync function on the router and the satellite to get them connected. My internet speed prior to the installation was 333 mps down but with this system my download speed increased to 540 mps down.
