Nexia allows you to control your home while away
The Nexia home bridge serves as the hub of your home automation network by plugging into your router. It uses low-power, wireless communications (Z-Wave) to the Z-Wave enabled products throughout your home. The result is control of your home’s most important systems – locks, thermostats, lights, and more – from anywhere you and the internet happen to be. It’s that simple.
The Nexia home bridge can hold over 200 Z-Wave devices at the same time. This allows you to add a variety of devices throughout the home at your own pace. You can start small and grow your system as you like, and since Nexia works with many leading brands, you can add the products you want, when you want.
How will Nexia work for you
It is easy to overlook things in our busy day-to-day lives, but it is comforting to have a back-up plan.
Busy Family – don’t worry about your child losing or forgetting their key. With a Nexia enabled lock from Schlage, each member of the family can have their own 4-digit code that will be easy to remember. If relatives are visiting, program a temporary code for their stay.
Watch what is happening while away – are the kids playing in the backyard, or has the dog escaped again? Has the package that you ordered earlier in the week been delivered safely on the porch? Monitor your home from your phone, tablet, or computer with a Nexia compatible camera.
Stay relaxed on vacation – are you leaving on vacation and can’t remember if the front door is locked or the thermostat is turned down? Simply log in to the Nexia portal to check the status of the lock or adjust the thermostat setting.
Light up your home – no one likes to come home to a dark house. Nexia allows you to turn lights on/off remotely so your house is well lit when you arrive.

Requires a service fee, but is rock solid
I hate paying subscriptions for home automation! I have tired to use zwave products with scalage locks using every product that exists on the market. I literally have tired every product that exists before conceding and going with Nexia. I even own a high-end home automation system that supports zwave, but it doesn’t work worth a darn either. None of the other systems are reliable unless the device they are controlling is close. As soon as a signal needs repeated they all fail big time. This darn thing works perfectly. it sees devices and seamlessly relays signals to get to the locks and sensors. I have a large house with 3 floors and this is the ONLY device that can control sensors and locks on all three floors. It is stupid simple to connect to devices and it just works. The Nexia website is easy to use as well. There are times when it is best to pay a company for a service. When it comes to security, knowing what doors are locked, knowing if there is a fire or motion in the house, reliably being able to control the home from remote, etc. it is good to pay a few bucks a month.
My opinion about this product –
great product
Works GREAT customer support is wonderful AND it is based right here in in the USA I was a VERIZON home monitoring customer product failed (CRASHED )spending hours on the phone with Verizon support it was a terrible product A co worker recommended Nexia and I’m very happy with the quality of the picture and the reliability of the product.it is extremely easy to interface all of their products to their network I would recommend to family and friends and the cost is only $9.99 a month Verizon was 24.95 a month

This item is junk-don’t waste your money
Do not waste your money on this product. As others have said it seems to have a mind of it’s own. It works when it feels like it and goes out frequently. Initially worked fine for a couple of weeks and then returned home and was not able to access adding any lock codes to it remotely. Had to pay somebody to come in and install lock codes because the bridge would not connect to it to add them. My modem recently went out and a new one was installed by Comcast and the bridge has never worked since that point in time. All Nexis support does is to tell you to restart which I again had to pay somebody to come in and do. You have to be on site to try to repair anything and there is no repairing it remotely. Waste of time and money if you were trying to use this for a vacation home.

Works great with Schlage keypad lever lock FE599NX
Easy to set up with Schalge keypad lever locks. I set it up with Schlage FE599NX CAM 716 ACC 716 Home Keypad Lever with Z-Wave Technology. I had to bring the nexia home bridge near the door lock in order to pair it. Then I just kept the Nexia home bridge plugged in to the router. The size of it is small (About 6 inch x 4 inch x 2 inch, not measuring, only going off my memory of it). With the $10 per month Nexia service, I’m able to easily schedule codes for the lock for a maid or handyman to come in at certain times. I am planning to buy a second one for my other property. It appears that for the same $10 per month subscription, I can manage multiple properties. All I have to do is spend the $70 or so to buy a new Nexia Home Intelligence Bridge at each location, and then log in to the web site and add another home location. When you think about that, the $10 per month is a very good deal. You can also use this with adjustable light modules, automated motorized shade modules, automated thermostats, cameras, etc. From what I can tell, all you have to do is invest in the equipment and then pay $10 per month. Amazing!

Another subscription, comm’on
This is just crazy. Pay for internet access, pay for cell phone access. Pay for another gadget to work with your phone. How about a lock thay connects directly to home wi-fi? Skipping would have really made the lock worthy of having. So, the inter gadhet does work well, but enough with access fees. So, I could have bought a dumb keypad lock, and saved me the money on the lock n the access I was hoping to get. Thanks.

Replaced Nexia with Wink 2
Purchased the Nexia bridge to connect to 3 Schlage locks for my vacation home. I had the locks installed as well as the Nexia by a locksmith. The installation went fine and the locks worked as advertised. After a few days the connectivity with 2 of the locks became spotty. I then tried installing 2 repeaters located near those 2 locks. Again, they all seemed fine, then after some time past, I lost connectivity with those 2 locks. Since my goal was to be able to manage these locks remotely, I neeed to figure out a better solution. Nexia was kind enough to offer assistance but I needed to be onsite, thus negating my requirement to operate remotely. I did some research and identified 2 well-rated options from Wink and Samsung, and they don’t even charge a subscription fee. I chose the Wink 2 Bridge, had it installed by the same locksmith, which took some work because one has to first reset the Schlage locks. This effort required calling Wink support and they were extremely helpful. It has now been 5 days and the locks are working perfectly, and without the 2 repeaters. As an added bonus the Wink2 connected to my 2 Honeywell Thermostats and my Chamberlain garage door opener without a hitch. Needless to say, for my installation, Nexia was not a good choice, and I don’t get the value of their subscription service – Wink provided the same level of service without charging any fee, their product works as advertised and as a bonus I get connectivity with other devices in my home.
