Love the look of the lock and access options
I installed it on my front door, and it’s been working smoothly from day one.Pros:• Multiple unlock options – Fingerprint, app, PIN, and traditional key backup•Fingerprint reader is fast and accurate•Auto-locking feature gives peace of mind when I forget to lock the door•WiFi gateway makes it easy to lock/unlock remotely or check logs in the app•Sleek design – Looks modern and doesn’t stand out awkwardly on the doorCons (Minor):• Setup took about 30–40 minutes, but instructions were clearWhat I love most is the fingerprint access—it’s so convenient not having to fumble for keys.I’ve also given PIN codes to my older kids and can see when they come and go through the app.

AWFUL – DO NOT RECOMMEND
This is our experience with this product. We do have prior experience with installation of locks, deadbolt locks and smart locks. Although this product looks modern and sleek and boasts some great features, in reality it is just a disaster start to finish. Highly recommend you RUN FAR AWAY from this product.Specifically, the handle set was apparently defective (or maybe they all do not work?). We spent HOURS trying to get a seemingly simple device to work. This includes 45 minutes with a very generous Home Depot employee knowledgeable about locks, our door installer (also knowledgeable with locks), and a number of emails back and forth with Philips support. Be aware, their support is completely ineffective. It appears these are just people answering a phone and trying to help by looking stuff up in a manual. No real product knowledge as far as we could tell.Difficulty in setting up the software – it took us several tries to get this working properly. Be aware the password reset “feature” is non-functional. It only directs you to the login screen where it asks for a password. Clearly, if you are needing a password reset providing a password will be impossible. Even if you call support, apparently, they cannot reset a password either. Yes, makes no sense, but here we are.Software does not always display the correct status of the lock. For instance, if you are away from home and want to check the status, you may find it tells you the door is unlocked (concerning) when it actually is locked. Or vice versa. I have stood right at the door and had the software tell me the door was locked when it was not.The fingerprint recognition technology, while seemingly a cool feature, is VERY hit-or-miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Very aggravating.If you get through all this and do decide to buy this product I would STONGLY advise that you dry fit the components of the handle set first BEFORE you drill the lower hole in your door. We spent a week highly stressed over this stupid lock because we had already drilled the hole for the handle set before we realized it did not work. Professionally installed, quality doors are expensive, and we were very worried our new door had been ruined and that we would not be able to get another handle set to fit to the existing hole.Save yourself time, money and stress – do not buy this awful product.

Reliable and accurate after 3 months
Works Much better than our old Kwikset. The app is friendlier as you can use code, fingerprint or key and it’s easy to program. It also comes with a WiFi plug to ensure strong WiFi connection. Was very easy to install. Three months and the batteries are still going strong. I also like the voice feature.

No need to let the install job scare you. Pretty cool product.
I just installed the item. This review is therefore somewhat preliminary. Verdict: Impressive product. The installation was a bit cumbersome but I doubt other products are (a lot) easier to install. You need philips (of course…) screwdrivers and possibly a drill with its set of bits. It’s not super complicated but do reserve a couple of hours total. When ready to go first take a quick look at the video (scan the link on the QuickStart leaflet) but then just follow the booklet’s more complete step by step instructions. I had to increase the depth of the cut-out for the dead bolt in the door frame (bolt sticks out quite a bit, probably 3/4 inch, a bit more than my old bolt). I also had to drill a new hole through the door itself for the handle’s bottom screw (if you need to do that too be accurate where to drill so the internal and external parts align) and fill/finish up cosmetically. When setting up the phone app, make sure to first change the master code on the numeric device and also make sure to use all fresh batteries! (don’t mix 2 new AA-ones with a couple of 3/4 full ones; purchase is separate).
