Compré este Ring Doorbell porque quería tener un poco más de control sobre lo que sucede en mi puerta, y estoy muy contento con el resultado. Se ha convertido en una pieza clave de seguridad en mi casa. La principal razón. Recibir una alerta en mi teléfono cada vez que alguien se acerca o toca el timbre, incluso cuando no estoy en casa, es un gran alivio. Es como estar siempre ahí. Yo opté por el modelo de batería y la instalación fue sorprendentemente sencilla. No tuve que complicarme con cables ni llamar a un técnico, en media hora estaba funcionando.La imagen es clara, incluso de noche. Puedo distinguir perfectamente a las personas y lo que están haciendo. Esto es crucial cuando se trata de paquetes o de visitas inesperadas. Poder hablar con el repartidor o con cualquier persona en la puerta directamente desde mi teléfono es súper práctico. Para guardar y revisar los videos grabados (no solo las alertas en vivo), necesitas suscribirte al servicio de Ring. Vale la pena por la funcionalidad, pero es un gasto extra que hay que considerar. Si buscas una forma simple y efectiva de mejorar la seguridad de tu hogar, el Ring Doorbell es una excelente inversión. Me ha dado muchísima tranquilidad.

This is a good product that does more or less what it promises to do. My original brand new one that I got on Amazon bricked itself inexplicably after about 3 months but I contacted Ring and they sent me a new replacement, which is currently approaching 4 months itself. I didn’t really think I needed to write a review for this item except I want to help save people from making a costly mistake that I made. Today I found out the hard way that although they do promise you up to 180 days of saved footage, DEFAULT SETTING IS ONLY 60 DAYS. I went online to try to download some of my older doorbell and stick up cam videos from a couple of months ago, only to discover that there was nothing there. I looked around the Ring site and quickly discovered that 180 days was a setting that I needed to go in and activate. They don’t really tell you that, but it never occurred to me to go looking into it. I suppose you could argue that it’s my fault for signing up without thoroughly exploring the website just to see what cool features came with my service and to learn proactively what I could and couldn’t do. Doesn’t change the fact that priceless and irreplaceable videos that I foolishly assumed I still have time to go get have been irretrievably erased. So I came in here to write this review in hope that it helps somebody avoid making the same mistake. No matter which Ring plan you have, please go in and adjust your settings.

Really glad I purchased this. It was easy to set up and the video is decent quality. The lens has a tendency to frost over on really cold nights which isn’t ideal though.
