Solid Upgrade From Old Sonos Speakers
Great sounding speaker. We upgraded from some original Sonos Play speakers. While they were still doing a great job we wanted the benefit of stereo sound since a number of our speakers are the only speaker in the room. There’s a noticeably better sound to these speakers than the original Play speakers. I do wish they had traditional buttons instead of the touch buttons, so you don’t accidentally keep changing sound levels, etc. when you’re moving the speaker. One additional feature that I didn’t realize they had is that you can cast to them from your iPhone which makes watching videos or listening to music from your phone a lot more fun and enjoyable. They are slightly larger than the original Play 1 speakers, but not noticeably so. I do think they look better given they’re pure black or white as opposed to the two tone black/gray of the original speakers. The build quality in general is very solid. They’re heavy and feel strong. The bass is solid and sound is great. You can read and watch ample reviews on their quality. The Sonos app is still frustratingly slow and confusing, but I’m hoping that will improve over time. They do get pretty loud in my opinion so you could have just one speaker playing the audio for an entire room; however, I think they work better in a dual speaker setup – i.e. both sides or two corners of a room – to get a more full, immersive experience.I have other Sonos speakers and they place nicely with all of them. All said and done, I’m glad made the jump to upgrade the speakers and plan to use my old Play 1 speakers as outdoor patio speakers.

Setup was instant!
I currently have four SL1s in my house. I keep dragging them into the bathroom so decided to get the new era100. It was connected and tuned with true play in less than 5 minutes. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Now I can play gloomhush while I’m in bathtub.

Definitely happy with this purchase!
I love my Sonos era 100s! I purchased these as rear speakers for my surround sound set up. Sonos came recommended and I really didn’t know anything about them until I did some research. They sound AMAZING as does my Sonos sound bar and sub mini. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! These were a little on the higher end of what I wanted to pay, but I don’t regret making the purchase after hearing them! And, talk about high-end packaging! That’s something that typically wouldn’t make an hill of beans difference to me but it just goes to show the high quality of this company in general.

Want my money back. Utterly Useless for streaming music due to horrible software
What a shame. When they work the sound is amazing. The problem. They never work for streaming music because of a woeful update to its software. Even the NYT, which once recommended the system as the best has changed its mind. About three months ago Sonos updated its system software that literally rendered my entire Sonos speaker system (This Sonos Era 100 included) useless. To use this system as a music streaming device, you must use the Sonos App. Sonos used to have one of the best apps in the business. Intuitive with amazing functionality. A few months ago they tried to update it, basically trying to make it look more like Amazon music. It was an utter failure. Folks like me are wanting to sell their entire system. I stayed with sonos for three months now since they promised they would make things right. They have not. The speakers stop streaming music after playing just one song. Nearly no commands work correctly. When I tell it to stop playing a song. It does not listen. I manually have to press the button on the speaker. This system was developed so you could talk to it and play all music across an entire CD. That used to be possible. Now it is not. Literally stops playing after one song. Via voice prompt, when you tell it to go to the next song, it cannot. We Sonos music streamers have lost the capability to stream music directly from our device’s own music library. Many of us bought Sonos because we wanted to have great speakers that would directly play music from our phones or our shared music library folders on our computers. That functionality has ceased to exist. Run! Don’t walk. And return these speakers. Their only use today is as a bluetooth device where you have to physically press each song you want to move onto via whatever controlling system you have for bluetooth. The Sonos incompetence here I cannot overstate. A once great company and music system has fallen. Such a shame. It did not have to be this way. If I could speak to the CEO of Sonos I would tell him this: Your bread and butter was your speaker system, not headphones, not other products. Get back to the basics. Restore the streaming functionality that allowed us to enjoy music via touchless voice commands and software that was once top notch. I have five Sonos speakers for sale. I hate to do it, but I am making all my speakers Amazon speakers. At least Amazon respects it customers by doing research before launching new products that destroy the functionality of what used to be. Goodbye, Sonos. Forever!

Easy Set up- Great sound!
I have an existing Sonos system (2017) – I purchased two of the Era 100’s as an addition. Set up took less than 5 minutes and the sound is amazing. Great highs and warm lows. think Sonos is is bouncing back.

For Those Looking for a truly (speaker)wireless audio solution.
I needed to find a truly wireless, two speaker solution to fill my room with stereo sound. This product checks that box. While the Era 100 units do need power, I do not have to run speaker wire from one to the other. That was my requirement – oh, and they had to sound good, too. The high-fidelity box was checked as well. The smartphone application includes a function to profile the sound responsiveness within your setting, making for a rich audio delivery. I am not sure the pricey subwoofer would be necessary in my case.Watch for promotional pricing, as I purchased two individual Era 100’s for less than the cost of the bundled pair. I am a happy camper!

Very happy customer!
Setup was both quick and easy! I just plugged it in and downloaded the Sonos app. Sonos connected to WiFi, Bluetooth, Spotify, Alexa. It was all seamless in the setup app. Sorry that others had troubles, but it worked great for me. Great sound quality for my kitchen, and the Alexa voice controls work splendidly.

Perfect solution
Perfect for what I needed. An area was not getting enough sound and this balanced it out perfectly.

Phenomenal sound! It works so well within the Sonos ecosystem if you have it. The sound quality is super loud and clear, and the overall experience is excellent. My only issue was that the Bluetooth didn’t work, which was a bit disappointing, but I think that might just be a problem with this particular unit, not a Sonos issue. It paired easily with the Sonos app, though, so no complaints there.Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a high-quality smart speaker!
