Excellent TPMS Replacement – Reliable and Easy to Use

Affordable, works well, I bought a second 3 days later.
My Toyota Prius lost one tire’s sensor. The repair was quoted above $220.At $22 this seemed a good alternative.I was wrong…. It was great!I bought another for my Ford Taurus and it paid for itself instantly as one tire was low.The jam nuts (called six angle nut) seem only to be anti-theft. At $22 the convenience of being able to refill the tire outweighed the risk someone would steal the sensors.

Avoid, mine required tire repair after use
Great idea, poor execution. Avoid this product unless you plan to only use it sparingly. Cheaper than replacing tpms sensors but mine damaged my valve stems after 4 months of use. The rubber gaskets are not durable and caused a slow leak when using. Finally after trying to figure out the slow leak, the gasket came loose and broke my valve stem making it impossible to seal.

This TPMS was very easy to set up. And, I bought it to use on a trailer I tow behind my SOV. One real “plus” for this model is that you can pair only two of the sensor (say, for a single axle trailer). Another model I tried required you to use all 4 sensors, and would beep at you otherwise. With this one, you can put it in pairing mode, and only pair two of them and it works great. The display is fine, even in sunlight, and the solar charger works well.So, why only two stars?Well, I wanted to see what sort of range it had between the sensors and the display unit, so I turned it on, got a reading on the display, and started walking away from the trailer (sensors) with the display unit. At first I was really impressed because I was half a block away, and I still had a reading. Then I started to get suspicious that it was displaying the last reading it go from the sensors, so I got in my car and drove away from the trailer. A mile later the display hadn’t changed at all. So, best I can tell, when it loses signal it just displays the last reading it got. So there’s no way for me to tell if I’m getting a real reading when in my car.It does seem to react when you remove the sensors from the tire, but I didn’t test how far away from the sensors it could detect that.For use on a regular car, I bet this is fine. But I wish I had more confidence in the information it was displaying.

TPMS: This product is exactly what I was looking for in a TPMS system. Does exactly what it advertises. Monitors tire pressures and displays pressures accurately. Spot on would recommend a his 100%. I’m going to give them out as Christmas presents

Easy set up. Clear easy to see screen for this one eyed geezer.
Pretty slick gadget. Installed sensors, retreated to kitchen table for set up. Car 40ft away. Unit immediatelypicked up the readings & I knew they were correct because I knew the RR was low.It is supposed to enter sleep mode if car is stopped for :10 & wake up when car moves. How do it Know?!4 star because sensor batts only last about 6 months. Batts not relaceable. No other brand’s sensors will work with this unit. Also it should have an on/off switch in addition to sleep mode.Replacement batts $10 each? Buy whole new system for $20 on Amzn.Haven’t driven car yet, but so far generally quite satisfied. PS: Uses same USB C cable as my cell phone, That’s a + in the car.
