This lock WORKS and has tons of great features!
Being the skeptic that I am, I put off installing a smart lock for a long time. After seeing the Wyze Palm lock I took the chance and went ahead and ordered it. Install was straight forward and replace my deadbolt without issues. Programming was straight forward and adding users was fast and easy. The palm recognition is LEGIT! This thing works in pitch black darkness without fail (even without activating the keypad lights). No more kids locked out of the house or unlocked doors. I don’t recommend instant lock if you are like me and forget something every time you leave the house. Having access to remotely unlock and set temp codes is a great feature. Knowing your door is locked by looking at app is a bonus. Door left open notification also a big plus!For background, I am 25 plus years into the security business. I have seen tons of locks, doors, bullet proof windows and high end things. I always hear people concerned about lock quality or some other reason for staying away from these types of locks. Bottom line, everyone has glass windows that are far easier to gain entry from than your door. Short of bashing it out with a hammer, this lock is as sturdy (or better) than locks costing 3 times as much. The dual battery feature allows added security that you won’t be locked out when primary battery dies (big problem with other locks). Key back up option might come in handy for a complete failure but I am hoping this lock performs for many years to come. I don’t get paid to say good things about Wyze products but I am not recommending this lock to customers who are shopping for an upgrade.

Best Wyze product I ever purchased.
I have been a big fan of Wyze for several years now and this is easily the best product I have ever gotten. Granted it is big on the interior side of the lock and may not fit if you have a dead lock close to your main lock. I had the Wyze lock with the gateway and keypad accessories as I wanted a smart lock that I can still use in extremely rare situations that could occur. However, I disliked that I had to have the keypad separate from the lock. This lock is truly everything I could possibly want as you have a main battery that lasts for approximately 6 months and an emergency 2 week backup battery. A nice feature is how both batteries are rechargeable so you don’t have to buy batteries. The flexibility of access codes and sharing with other people. You have so many ways to get in palm scan (my favorite), digit code, app feature, key, and through Alexa/google devices should you wish to connect through them.After a little over a month after installing it I am extremely satisfied with this lock. But while it is easy to install with simple directions, I do recommend having a second person to help keep it in place better.

The best smart lock I ever had
My view. This is the best smart lock , I have ever had. I did have August and Schlage before.The ease of installation and the features are outstanding and sometimes unbelievable.1. The palm vein method, which I thought was just a gimmick ( and bought this lock mainly for the touch keypad) really works very well2. The auto lock feature that works only when the door is physically shut is a blessing to avoid the dead lock banging against the frame. Specially with little children around3. The warning when door is not closed, great4.the battery system , the best. Rechargeable batteries, with spare takes you through to another week is beyond compare.5. There are many other features, I do not use but the best, let me tell you battery has dropped only 10% in a month.6. I am not sponsored or gifted by the company to speak like this, these are truly my own experiences with the lock and I’d recommend this lock to everyone.

Solid upgrade worth every dollar
I installed the Wyze Palm Lock a few days ago and honestly love this thing already. Setup was simple, the fit/finish looks clean, and the unlock consistency has been perfect so far. The palm print recognition works faster than I expected and the app is straight-forward. I like tech that just works without a bunch of tweaking and this hits that mark.The build quality feels way nicer than I assumed at this price point. Notifications show up instantly, the auto-lock feature is smooth, and it’s been reliable every time I’ve tested it. If anything changes long-term I’ll update this review, but right now it’s an easy 5/5 from me.
