But this works really well. It’s auto function does work. The circuit sensor does as well. Decent product.
The transmission line doesn’t fit properly. There is a hole that is not In my gm original radiator. I’m on Amazon support about this garbage –

This is for “JASLEEN A1X Smart Digital Multimeter Tester Rechargeable Electrical Voltmeter, Measures Capacitance Diode Continuity Resistance V-Alert Live Check AC DC Voltage”Solid feeling case. Charge port for the internal battery is on the back side, protected by a slotted cover. Included probes each have a cap which can be removed to expose probe tips for narrow spaces.The default display is black numbers/symbols on a grey background, usable outside. When backlight is manually turned on, it is green. If the backlight is off, the lighting will turn on as shown in the listing when performing various tests.

Excellent for a homeowner on a budget
As someone new to using lots of tools while remodeling my first home, I found this multimeter reasonable for basic tasks.I had some trouble getting the full auto feature to work. It only covered half of the features on the right side of the ring, and I had to toggle through the options on the left manually. Also, I couldn’t get the screen to turn red, but the green was bright enough and easy to read, so that wasn’t a big issue.One downside was the lack of a case. With the probes detaching, there are three pieces to carry around. Most multimeters come with a case to keep everything together and within reach. I’m currently using a twist-tie to keep the wires attached to the unit, which is inconvenient.As a homeowner rather than an expert, I might not know enough to use this multimeter intuitively. The instructions were very small and not helpful, so I couldn’t learn much from them.My Dad who hovers over and takes over every project that I do thinks this is a good multimeter especially considering the price point. His multimeter has some more functions but was three times the price.When our main use for this tool is just to tell which wires are live and which arent- this is a fantastic item. I don’t personally need a lot of technical specifics and I frankly wouldn’t understand them.I’m just looking to make sure I don’t electrocute myself while removing a previous homeowner’s messy, unprofessional electrical work.

Good For Basics, Needs Case, Could Not Get All Features to Work
This is a reasonable multimeter for the basics.I could not get full auto to work. It covered half of the features (right hand side of ring) and then I needed to toggle individually among the options on the left. I could not get the screen to turn red. But the green was plenty bright and easy to read so that is not a real issue.A case was really needed and was missing. The probes detach and there are effectively 3 pieces that you need to carry around. Most multimeters come with cases that keeps everything toegether and in reach. For this one, I am using a twist-tie to bind the wires tot he unit. That’s just a mess and I expect the wires to snag on something or get detached when ti rubs against another thing in my tool box. Maybe I’ll. find a case on Amazon, but it’ll be tough to size well and just raises the price for this multimeter compared to others out there that include a case.And I recognize that as a consumer/homeowner type vs. an expert, I may just not know enough to use this multimeter intuitively. The instructions were really small and quite poor so I could not get more education that way. I will plan to learn more via some instructional videos.

This is a great tool to replace my old busted up multimeter. This will see even more use than my old one, and it feels like this will hold up a lot better. I’ve already gotten to use it a bunch as a tool for various other reviews.This is a very sleek and compact unit for your toolkit, especially if you detach the probes. They fit in tightly so you don’t have to worry about them tugging out. The probes themselves have a detachable sheath, so you can probe with just the tip, or use the full length probe.I consider the following few items to be bonus features. It has an internal battery which is nice, so I don’t have to use so many 9v batteries now. It has a touchless power probe on the top, which has a low/high sensitivity setting.Thus far, I have zero complaints or negative feedback. I suppose I would have liked to have gotten a zipper case for this, but it doesn’t really need one. It’s literally just the unit and the probes though, so not a big deal.
