Práctico y estable para el uso que le doy
Necesitaba un sistema de soporte para montar mi cámara Canon 5D MK III con un lente Canon 100mm macro 2.8, para digitalizar negativos y diapositivas 35mm. Ese equipo es bastante pesado y está cerca del límite del peso soportado por este producto. Sin embargo, el sistema de montaje o ajuste para colocarlo en el borde de una mesa ajusta muy bien y queda firme, aunque si toco la cámara enseguida produce un ligero balanceo de la misma.Esto es lógico ya que se trata de una única columna de montaje, articulada en tres secciones, y yo ya anticipaba que eso iba a ocurrir. Para el tipo de trabajo que hago, es perfecto, porque sólo necesito que la cámara esté firme y se mantenga siempre en la misma posición.El único tema a tener en cuenta es que las articulaciones entre los 3 brazos de la columna no tienen un movimiento libre y continuo, sino que usan un sistema dentado que, aunque bien diseñado y firme, sólo permite un ajuste micro (necesario para lograr que la cámara quede en plano focal respecto del objeto a fotografiar) en pequeños pasos fijos, y puede ocurrir que no logremos colocar la cámara exactamente sobre la vertical del lugar. La diferencia es pequeña, y tendré que buscar alguna solución práctica para lograr ese ajuste fino.Por lo demás, se lo siente firme y fácil de usar, y por su precio me parece un producto bien logrado.

Good Design
This is a good little overhead rig. I just couldn’t get it to work with my particular set up. It’s easy to use and the size is good. I like how it’s designed to lock each piece into place. My problem is that I’m order to get it in my set up correctly I would need a different desk. I tried a bunch of different design configurations but I just couldn’t get a good angle so I bought one that had more of a telescoping arm that came off of the main one. I actually loved the fact that you could move ever piece the way you want but in the end it just want right for my current set up. I’m strongly considering a new desk and a different set up in my office but at the moment I’m working with what I’ve got.

Nice budget camera mount
Really nice just to use as a spot light, but also offers a great vantage point for recording videos. Easy to install and easy to adjust.

Sturdy, Well Made, Very Stable
Super sturdy. Very nice!!! I teach Zoom art classes and this is so sturdy it can be mounted on my art table and the camera doesn’t shake, even if I bump the table.

We purchased this to hold a small digital projector over a table, so that it could project down onto the surface for everyone to see during a meeting.For our needs, this is a great value, and I am glad we found it – it solved our problem nicely, and we do not meet without it now!

Extremely useful for shotgun microphones!
I am using this to attach to a shotgun microphone to varipole so I can record videos without having to use a lapel mic attached to my shirt. When I saw this product, I thought it would be a godsend for this purpose. I just picked up a second one to extend its reach. The only issue I have with this is that the clamp is a rubber material rather than a metal square like on similar products. Because of this, the grip on metal is not as tight as I’d like it to be, but since a shotgun mic doesn’t weight that much, it isn’t much of a problem. I DO wish, as a product suggestion, that they have a second kind of clamp/screw included so those who want what I am looking for can have it! All in all, I will get a lot of use out of this product.I would NOT use this for a camera. Maybe one of the lighter webcams, 360 cameras or possible a smaller phone would work well on this.
